1.3 Bug Reports

You know what to do guys I hope this list won't be long.



- When I created a barbarian hero he could only access tactics II, there was no tactics III available. Do not know if that is a bug or the skill was removed for whatever reason.

- The statue of blind maiden does not show the bonus on neutral units that stand next to it. There will be a visual and sound effect but right-clicking the unit will not show increased luck nor will the bonus be shown in the status effects.

- Units hit by the Marksman's ranged attack do not show the hit animation until the Marksman's animation has ended. Goblin boomerang throw is also out of sync.

- There are still graphical glitches in the town screens.

- Some occasional tooltip placeholders.

- Loooong spell animations, still not fixed.

- Kappa's ability still bugged.

- Units in towers cannot be attacked by hero attack. Ranged units and spells from hero work fine.

- Might (Haven, in this case) heroes have no sound when attacking and the creature(s) they hit don't react (no animation).

- When a unit moves/attacks, it leaves behind a golden sqare aura.

- Implosion achievements are broken;

- Using Puppet Master on an enemy player's unit (not neutral) grants you access to the enemy hero's spellbook.

- Guardian Angel is bugged. It may remain after attacking a unit.

- Drain Life sometimes still doesn't trigger when the enemy stack which is being "drained" is destroyed.

- The achievement for reaching Bronze rank appears only after you gain XP a second time.
I finished Slava's campaign and got 1 achievement (1000 kills iirc) and my dynasty hit level 10 (Bronze) but I got no achievement, though the altar of wishes unlocked all the bronze rewards. I started Irina's campaign and after the first battle (and thus first XP gain into Bronze rank), I received the achievement for reaching Bronze rank.

- Waiting grants the same Defense bonus as Defending.

- Occasional stability issues.

- In the Inferno town screen, the fortifications is "moving" along with the camera. It doesn't stand still.

- The Inferno town as seen on the adventure map has a little glitch. One of the floating buildings goes through the walls.

- The tears progression bar fills up when reaching level 1 and stays like that, even though you haven't reached level 2 (it's possible the blood one does the same).

- During battle, the keyboard shortcut "c" for opening the spellbook does not work. Sometimes it works during the first battles and then it just stops working (yes I had num lock on).

- The Water Elemental ice bolt animation takes too long.

-Centaur marauder's movement turn is still bugged. Sometimes it won't show you your oponent's movement shadow.
Also, skipping it will cancel any morale effect you might have had, so if you want morale action, you have to move your centaurs.

-Bloodrage racial ability is messing with the initiative bar. For example if you use Bloodrage in round 1, round 2 initiative bar will sometimes display your units as if they still had the bloodrage on them.

-Also, fourth level of Bloodrage does not give you the promised no-retaliation.

-Storm Winds (I think it is this spell) shows as buff on enemies
-Kirin's special ability doesnt show possible damage and kills when hovering cursor over enemies.

-The statistics at the end of a game are possibly bugged, because its weird that AI players have 0 battles fought...

-Some spells that have passive upgrade still show up as rank 1 in spell book (e.g. Storm Winds)

-Kensei's multiple strike shows the animation but does not work on a castle gate.

- Artifacts that gives initiative or HP sometimes doesn't work. Some battles they work and other times they don't.

- Growth still bugged sometimes. I got 2 units of each core (week was about +25% sea movement) And other times I got 7 and 8 (also +25% sea movement, as I was just testing something else and pressing end button. No change in building or Architect 1.

- Good morale consumes a turn on every spell on the target

-Ability water flows freely affected by 'earth and sky'

-Some spells (prime,light,dark) are weeker in battle than in customizing screen, they might be affected twice by the opponents magic defense?
While customizing the hero, the description of implosion might say it does 2102 damage, while in battle (in the spellbook) it will be less depending on the opponent's magic defense (it will be for example 1200-1400). However chain lightning shows the same damage in the spellbook as in the 'customization' screen.

-Purge effects 4*4, tooltip says 3*3.

-Out of time ability gets bugged sometimes (dodges you trying to heal them etc).

-Purge sometimes does not effect every creature it should.

-summoned unit gets +15 init, afaik is supposed to be -15.

-Ability meditation increases your spell power, but it does not effect anything (nor spells, nor creatures)

-Mark of necromancer does not seem to affect purge.

-Ice armor gives magic defense on sanctuary.

-Damage calculation is weird sometimes. For example with archery 1,2 (8%,4%) and giant slayer (7%) damage jumped from 2747-3068 to 3659-4086. (First shots, same creatures same circumstances.)

- A frozen unit (ice bolt) that has morale cancels the effect and gains a full move ...

- If you "waited" with a unit and Earth Elementals cast Petrification on it, the unit will lose 2 turns (the current one and the next one).

- When the upgraded version of the angel walks instead of fly, its crown behing the head momentarily disappers.

- Panter warrior does not have any speical attack when using his abilty or having a critical.

- When changing forms between fate spinner/weaver's human form to spider form or spider form to human somtimes they have wings for one second and somtimes the spider form have weird green smile on his butt.

- Fate spinner/weaver spider have diffrent animation in critical while shoting while other shooters don't.

- Stonghold and sanctuary heroes don't have their faction symbol under their legs during combat.

- I just finished a duel with a victory and it counted towards my standard map wins.

- Resurrection renders the resurrected stack immune to all damage but does not prevent it from attacking, so effectively if it's used once, the stack on which it is cast can not be killed but it can certainly kill unlimited amount of opposing creatures.

- Blade of Hatred seems to work randomly and inconsistently. Sometimes it triggers, sometimes it doesn't and even if it triggers, it often self-dispels at the beginning of the affected creature's turn.

- Some creatures get to act twice during the same round without receiving positive morale. So far this happened with a stack of Temptresses and a stack of Specters. If positive morale triggers, the said stack could act up to 3 times.

- The effect from Counterstrike II sometimes remains past the second round (once it lasted to the end of the battle).

- Sanctuary's might hero ability "Calm Before the Storm" is bugged. You do not gain any extra dmg, only initiative.

- Kappa shoya's 3x3 animation gone.

- Pearl Priestess "eye of medusa" reduces 5 initiative instead of 20. Most of the time it's 5. But I have seen 4 and 6 and once 19 and 20.

- AI sometimes flees when it's about to win (like I had 36x tier 1 creatures left and it had like 60 every tier creatures, he ran off)

- After playing some time, I couldn't move the adventure map camera by taking the cursor to the edge of the screen. Visiting menu and doing some other things made it work again.

- In the Dynasty options, you can't change your favourite achievements and there's no tooltip saying what they are.

May we post changes that was not listed or just bugs? I found some more changes. Enraged Cyclops Mighty slam has a cooldown of 3 turns.
Stronghold's Shaman ability Sky Earth or something only affects first turn now ( before it was during the whole battle)

In the tutorial map, units getting hit by the Marksman's ranged attack do not show the hit animation untill the Marksman's animation has ended. I do not know yet if this happens on other maps as well.

I can't believe there are still so many goddamn bugs! Also, the game seems to run poorly now than it did during the stress test.

Anyway, why do stones of enlightment and chests give so much experience (4000+)? I set this stuff to normal, this is normal to them?

- during a battle, when a troop moves, the golden square thing remains on their previous position;

- there are still graphical glitches in the town screens, they said two months ago they would improve them;

- some spells (inner fire I think) last for 66 turns, wtf?

4k is nothing with such an xp scale. I still think that tying them to the X5, X7 modifiers can be a bit too much though. Not that I can complain.

I have tried icebolt + the skill that shatters the ice and gives some 80+ luck, has anyone gotten increased damage from that? You'd think that luck would have triggered after a few times max.

Graphic bugs are aplenty, from the previously mentioned golden square to loading a game and seeing nothing but landscape (no buildings, heroes, etc)...

- When loading a map, sometimes the mouse will move strongly in one direction (and be drawn to it if you move it). This persists until restart of the game.

- Loooong spell animations, still not fixed.

- Kappa's ability still bugged.

- Units in towers cannot be attacked by hero attack. Ranged units and spells from hero work fine.

I gotta say, I thought the game would be much improved since the last phase ended. There are still so many bugs and only two months until launch. I honestly can't see how the majority of issues (single player, multiplayer, online, stability, optimization etc.) can be resolved this fast. And the thing is more bugs arise as others are fixed.

In any case, I have a few days with no important stuff to do and I think I'll focus on reporting bugs (with screenshots). I hope this thread is seen by the developers (Elvin, do your best).

It's really disappointing that the fans have become unpaid beta testers again.

I think the Implosion achievement is tracking the wrong damage. It says that I have done 1000 damage with any hero ability (2000 for rank 2, 3000 for rank 3) when I clearly have NOT. I highly doubt Slava can deal that much damage in one attack at level 6.

Only 2 units can attack a city's door. Only 2 units can attack the central tower during a siege (retarded).

As if siege weren't causing us enough losses, units in the central tower not only deal more damage but also take less damage (opposite from what was said). WTB less retarded catapult or a real Siege skill ...

Meaning that units standing in diagonal squares to the door and to the central tower can't hit either. They just look around and look dumb.

I've played other games during an open beta and none of them were as buggy as H6 is right now. Seriously, no game comes to mind.

I'm getting fraps to take some screenshots and I'll be coming back with a report later today.

What XP scale? When visiting a stone of enlightment you immediately jump from level 1 to level 3. Again, on normal.

I've played the bridge map and here's what I found:

- A hero with a higher level (in my case 4) but with a lower spell power (2) has more powerful spells than a hero with a lower level (3) but higher spell power (6!). How is this possible?

- The tactics skill doesn't "remember" previous positions. I know it's old, but it should've been fixed by now.

- Healing is still overpowered (108 HP of healing/resurrect at hero level 1).

- Might (Haven, in this case) heroes have no sound when attacking and the creature(s) they hit don't react (no animation);

- When a unit moves/attacks, it healves behind a golden sqare aura thing like in the picture below:



- Implosion achievements are broken;

- In some cases, Guardian Angel lasts more than one turn. In the image below, both the sisters and sentinels have guardian angel on them:

They did keep their word about having larger battlefields (I battled on the bridge and it has about 18 squares in length, the default being 12). Btw, the Pit Lord is O_O.

Hmm I can only have 2 units attacking the gate.


In the closed beta, there was a quest in Slava's 2nd map that was asking us to build the TP in both cities (Mausoleum and Ishtvan's city). In the public beta, this quest has disappeared, but it's still possible to build the TP only in Ishtvan's. Either the quest was accidentally removed or they forgot to remove the TP ^^



The game is still missing some "reminders" :
- movement reminder - sorry but blinking portraits really don't cut it ...
- new quests/completed quest pannel - why no pop-up ?
- why doesn't the Sword of Griffin auto-equip on Slava ? It's raging to discover that you've just completed 3/4th of Slava's map without the Sword equipped

Healing is not overpowered and need no more nerfing
Guardian Angel is not bugged. When casted, your unit gains it and it last until your units next turn. Turn 1 cast on Sentinel. Turn 2 cast on Griffin. The Sentinel will have it until he gets to act.

Healing needs to be removed from the game. Period.



- Some neutral shooters start on the 2nd line from the right side, making them easy targets

- Players' Sisters/Vestals start on the 2nd row. They should start by default in the back row ...

house doesnt float the shadow is of the tree but if there was floating house screen would be more pretty me thinks

Yes it is and they tried to fix it by making it available once every 4 turns, but it's not really ok.

I'm pretty sure Guardian Angel is bugged. One time I cast it on a radient glory by mistake, then I attacked a Pit Fiend and Guardian Angel still remained on the unit.
