While it's too early to tell if they going to be better or worse than Nival was, I don't understand how there can still be this many problems.

What the hell are their internal testers doing? Do they not see these obvious problems that we can find within 5 minutes of testing? If they are seeing and reporting them, then why the hell isn't Black Hole fixing them?

This is looking like Nival all over again where many bugs keep getting reported, but instead of fixing them, they push them off and continue to try and add more content instead.

Well, as Elvin stated a few times, for a good number of reasons our beta client simply doesn't match the developers' latest build, so let's hope they just gave us something like last stable build and that their alpha is in better state.
On the other hand, the newly emerging bugs scared me as well, I admit. It's however a little bit too soon for big words, don't you thing?

Seriously... I played a game against someone, and he waited an hour before using it. Last time. So frustrating. (The worst part is, he planned every move like it was no tommorow, making me belive he isnt playing for that bug.. an hour wasted)

In siege battles are some video-bugs.When you shoot an archer that is in the Center Tower,your archer shoot in the earth (in the terrain ground) and not in the tower.And the catapult didn't really shoot in the wall.

- Sometimes when Might hero attacks, the camera seems to have taken position below the ground. So it's not like a frog perspective, more like a worm perspective. Happens at least in siege battles.

- When Crossbow- / Marksman arrow hit, target reaction comes way late.

- This one is not a bug, but town / dwelling convertion seems to take out the juices of my computer (cpu i7 870, gf gtx 580 , ram 8gb). Even clicking the SKIP button is sometimes impossible since the computer slows down so much. The whole conversion effect, as it is now, slows the game too much and isn't THAT cool anyways.

- Whenever there's a week of something affecting morale, luck or stats, city walls gain the effect (WTF ?). Just had a week of balance (-25% morale/luck) and all the walls had the -25% icons

- When you convert a city to your faction, the unique buildings graphics remain on your new city. So I've had a Haven with the Sanctuary buildings and another one with the Inferno ones.




- I don't mind the AI being clever, but it just keeps abusing the movement points, like staying at your max movement +1 from a castle and waiting for you to either move out and capture the empty city or for you to leave the city. If you don't move, the AI just sits there for 50 turns if needed ... I've been playing that cat&mouse game on the map The Tree of Abondance and it's really annoying and boring in the end.

- Likewise the AI instantly fleeing a combat despite having a good army is utterly retarded.

does the AI guess how much movement you have, or would it get fooled if you had some artifacts or abilities to increase movement?

I'll have to test that out by removing the boots at the end of my turn Everytime, the AI was stopping exactly at one square of my max movement.


Other bugs :
- Marksmen who are in a tower can't hit units that are at the bottom of the tower (which is correct), BUT if you shoot at a unit that is further away, the Marksmen will hit the units at the bottom of the tower with Piercing Bolts.

- The AI melee units ignore the central tower even when I have 400 Marksmen inside who are happily shooting down everything.

It might not be a bug (it can easily be a problem on my end), but whenever i try to join to a chat chennel i get 'join failed' error. Something im missing? A port not open? Specific Win7 setting?

Same. I had to be invited back to the channel I created by someone who stayed in the channel

Hmm, it seems to be a recognised bug on the ubi forums, also the 'time out has happened' bug isn't that rare either.

I'm playing on the wheel of hate map, vs myself. After capturing one of the other players starting castle, all income reduces by a lot and crystals reduced to 0. Everyone is affected and it won't go away =/ It has been few weeks like this. Then I saved, loaded and things went back to normal.

I have never experienced the unique buildings bug, it must something chance-based. Weird.

The siege has some of those weird chance-based bugs too. Sometimes it's fine, sometimes I can attack the gates only from two squares directly in front of it; sometimes I can attack the central tower only from the two squares directly in front of it. Sometimes I can't attack the gate after it has opened and closed again (and when I say can't, I mean that it consumes a unit's action and does zero damage, pretty frustrating.)

Similarly, you can't hit the gates from the inside... or, as I have tried it with Harpies, the bug could be Harpy related, as they've had problems attacking structures before, it probably has something to do with their attack and return ability. (BTW is there a shortcut or something to cancel the return part?)

And, before the new patch, hitting the central tower with structural damage also caused the garrisoned units to take damage. Now the garrison is intact until the tower is destroyed. Not sure whether it isn't intended, but it stinks.

Yes, I've posted it on a previous page but I thought I was the only one since noone else experienced it I've never been able to attack the gate or the tower from the diagonals.

No it's not harpy-specific. I had the same problem with Celestials. I had the sword icon to attack the gate from inside but the Angels just flew there and did nothing.

Not exactly sure about the shortcut but it's the same as for forcing a ranged unit to hit in melee (alt + click ?)

Does anyone else have experience about randomly getting stuck in combats?
I was having a nice duel with Zenofex, it getting close to the end. Anyways I simply ordered my Earth Elementals to move and everything just stopped. It didn't freeze, just nothing wouldn't happen.
It's was an hourglass that didn't run out of sand...

This has happen before, not that often luckily, but far too often. Is there more people with this problem??

On my end it stopped after I hit "Defend" on the Goblins. After that it crashed so bad that I had to restart the PC and run a scan to get it fixed...

By the way during the same game it did not allow me to us the special of the Panther Warriors in melee - they hit the intended stack (Pit Lords in this case) one square away from them which kind of ruined my idea to block the Breeders. In other games it triggered as it should so here's yet another intermittent bug.

By the way I'm almost sure that this "Petrify every round" is a bug. I guess it should have a cooldown like every other spell.

Yeah, that ever so mighty stronghold might hero has 'some' problems with that spell. The number of game braking bugs is maybe a bit too much.

Btw, when you open the lobby its pretty easy to see who has the infamous 'connection has timeout' bug .. and the 'priviliged' ones who does not have the bug can chosse around servers like..*insert metafor here*

I cant find any reliable info whether its ports or router settings.. i think it can easily effect like 50% of the people.

Well, now (Irina's campaign map) I've been able to attack both gate and tower from the nearer diagonal (as seen from default camera). The further diagonal does not allow me to attack at all. Funny.

Heh, yeah both me and my friend have the problem. We can't join games so we simply cannot play with eachother.
I can't join channels either. :/

The Darkness Elemental thing is actually not a bug.

One of its abilities says that it is immune to Dark damage and both the Necro magic hero and Ghosts deal Dark magic damage.

Personally, I like it. I just had a very epic Necro VS Necro fight (my first!). It was super long and in the end, I lost. (For my defense, the hero I used was supposed to be anti-Stronghold, so I had a lot of skills that were useless)
It was really interesting and different, since Undead have all these immunities and half of their abilities don't work on each other.
I did learn a lot though and now I am experimenting with creating the ultimate Necro VS Necro hero.
