Heh I experienced something similar, except that the attacker's units attacked the tower in one turn and in the second they just moved back to city walls, and then in third turn they went back to attack my tower...

I found another siege bug, the might hero was able to attack through the siege walls at units on the other side? At the begining where no walls were broken.

there is no manual combat anymore? Whatever I do the "replay the combat" is greyed out

I am not sure that we mean the same thing! Not the replay of the battle so we can watch. I am talking about the "replay THE battle" so you play it again and try for less casualties than the autocombat

Yes, the REPLAY THE BATTLE button is only available in campaign ... and as Avirosb, that button shouldn't even be there.

Replay button is about as retarded as seeing the composition of your enemy's army and clicking "Retreat", but it shows where Ubisoft is going with their games.

No, the AI's units ignore the tower

But the catapult? No one can control them and they will launch an attack if there's still things to hit, would they not?

@Nelgirith: i don't understand what you mean. What more normal that wanting fast paced auto combats and IF AI screws it up to play it yourself? It was there in Heroes 5 and should always be there. If they take it out in online, people will only play with manual combats and the games will become a lot more boring ans slow

I think you're completely mistaken and you should check your gaming options (either in the option menu or in the options before starting a game).

If the result of a quick battle doesn't please you, there's a "Play Manually" button. The "Restart" (Replay) button allows you to redo another manual fight after you failed a first manual fight.

exactly! i thought that was the misunderstanding and that is why I made it clear in my previous post!

BUT

in the settings before starting the game I chose "force autocombat" and in the next game "against neutrals" in both cases, after the autocombat is failing i have NO option to play manually. it is greyed out

If you force auto-combat, you will never be able to replay any battle (except vs bosses) - which is the definition of "forced quick combats"

Put the quickcombat to off when you start a map while you have Quick Combat checked in the Game Options. This will then make all combats in quick combat and if you don't like the result, you can press "Play Manually".

more bugs.

-when killing a lich, the lich just staying in flying position like is about to disappear.

-i don't know why somtimes when i play with lilim and she does her special abilty she while having postive moral she does the animation of the mele attack critical instead of her ability animation.

-skeleton spearmans don't use his hit animation when getting attacked by ranged attack cretures.

-when a ravenous ghoul move to attack and this is his last square somehow he can move around the target and attack it from other sides while he cant walk there.

-some range cretures like lich or sucubuss when the use their range attack on targets. sometimes there is no animation of the green smoke (in case of the lichs) or fire (in case of the sucubuss) around the target
