Wanted: Heroes IV Winds of War UK release
I'm looking for the UK (English) version of Heroes of Might and Magic IV: Winds of War Expansion Pack originally released by 3DO in March 28, 2003. It was released in a DVD-box. Photo:
This version utilizes Safedisc v2.51.021 copy protection unlike US released version without copy protection.
It is impossible to buy this expansion nowadays. I tried to find this version in a variety of online stores with no luck.
Attention please! I need only WoW (v3.0 UK) expansion pack for HoMM IV. The entire HoMM IV complete by Ubisoft is not needed!

Uh well I have it, but it's had some wear-and-tear and I'm not confident in the disc's technical quality, let alone that of its content. If you really want this expansion you'd be better off just buying the GoG version.

After almost 10 years of daily E-bay monitoring I finally managed to buy UK release of Heroes of Might and Magic IV: Winds of War expansion pack! This is the only English version of the expansion pack ever released with the printed manual.
At the moment I published few screenshots with brief technical description (because I'm sure that almost nobody saw this release) and I'll probably post actual photo(s) later. Currently there is simply no time for this.
Like most UK editions of various games, Heroes of Might and Magic IV: Winds of War comes in a DVD-box.
Barcode on the bottom of DVD-box (UPC-A): 7 90561 53332 0
Printed Number on the face of the CD: 5333-02-005
Mastering SID Code (back of the CD): IFPI L373
Matrix / Runout (back of the CD): THE PRODUCERS HEROES4WINDS
As I suspected, the disc is copy-protected with Safedisc v2.51.021 (just like original HoMM IV and first expansion pack, The Gathering Storm). This type of copy protection is determined by the presence of software unreadable sectors (so-called weak sectors) at the beginning of the CD. The content of these sectors can be read only by using an adequate CD/DVD equipment and software. Personally, I use Plextor PX-760A DVD-RW drive (it is the latest 'true' Plextor model) and RedFox CloneCD 5.3.4.0 software for these purposes. Further research of properly dumped CD image shows the presence of 576 weak sectors beginning from sectors 967 and 968 and ending with sector 10179 Which is typical for this type of copy protection. Another sign of copy protection is the picture that appears when the game starts:

And here we see a typical sign of the British edition of the game:
Here we can see the contents of the game folder after installing UK editions of HoMM IV, The Gathering Storm and Winds of War expansion packs. Also You can see the official UK patches for (unpatched) HoMM IV and The Gathering Storm expansion pack in the game folder (7 total). If You install the main HoMM IV game followed by both expansion packs, You don't need to use them.
I can't see any reason to post the checksums of my CloneCD image file (IMG file) dumped from this original Heroes of Might and Magic IV: Winds of War (UK) expansion pack CD, but I will give its size: 294,206,976 bytes. The size should match if You got this CD somehow and You decide to dump an image from it. CD creation date (GMT): January 13, 2003 15:20:29. And, finally, the original game executable heroes4.exe after installing Winds of War expansion pack:
Size: 7,877,205 bytes (protected with Safedisc v2.51.021).
