Elemental: Fallen Enchantress looks like it might realize what War of Magic tried to achieve... looking forward to designing my own fantasy faction.

Iīve been following this game for quite some time and it really looks promising

Games Keksimaton is looking forward to:

Persona 5

Whatever the heck they might call the next game in the Demon's Souls/Dark Souls series. MUST HAVE MORE! HARDER!

Final Fantasy 13 Versus. Developed by dudes isolated from the other FF 13 teams. Supposedly it's going to be a bit more action than tunnel oriented.

Diablo 3

BlazBlue: Continuum Shift 2

That's pretty much it.

You mean Extend?

No reason to buy Continuum Shift right now really, Extend has all the previous stuff included.

Gotta buy a new harddrive for my 360 to play it though... sucks.

I hadn't even heard about that. I guess I made a mistake.

But yeah man, BlazBlue! YEAH!

Is there something the matter with your Xbox's hard drive?

Continuum Shift 2 was released ages ago as a free downloadable update for the original Continuum Shift. Extend just packs it all up into one package and adds a bunch of modes + new characters.

If you already had all the DLC from the previous game it'd feel like quite the ripoff, but for new players or peeps like me who haven't played since the first game it's a real treat.

My 360's an old Arcade machine, means it's got a very limited hard drive capacity.

All the updates released for the 360 has managed to use up all the memory, I'll have to buy a bigger drive to fit it all in.

And since it's not on one of the newer, slim models it's kinda expensive.

EDIT:

Kinda disappointed about the opening song btw... this one was much better. Ah well, at least we still get to hear it during Astral Finishes.

Speaking of Astral Finishes, I'd like to bring up a particular question I've had about controller inputs for years that would propably be better suited for a fighting game thread. You see, some characters' special moves require you to press up, but up makes you jump and the input fails. A particular example would be one of Tager's special moves which requires you to do a 720 degree round on the directional controls and then do a punch or something, but the problem is that I always end up jumping like an idiot half-way through the input. Is there some special trick to this or do you just have to learn to do it so fast that the jumping animation doesn't even start? It's not even specific to BlazBlue. Playing Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 I get a very similar effect when playing Reptile or whatever and trying to turn invisible or do a fatality, I just jump.

So yeah, pressing up = Keksi can't do it.

Those kinda moves are best used by buffering them, i.e. inputting the commands during another move.

In the case of Tager...

- Buffer during his excellent invulnerable backdash. Enemy whiffs his move against your backdash and gets thrown to pieces.

- After a jump. Probably the easiest way, but pretty punishable.

-During opponent's slow startup move. Most notably Distortion Drives. See a careless Ragna start a Carnage Scissor? PUNISH THAT MOFO! 360 B****!

Even pros can't use it straight from neutral position, it's really hard and as you say, prone to just making you jump instead of executing the move. That is why you buffer.

In games like Mortal Kombat you can just hold block while doing the inputs though.

EDIT:

Search for MikeZ playing Tager on Youtube and you'll see what I mean.

EDIT2:

Oh and Tager's Astral is best used after using that Magnetic Projectile thingy that sends the enemy across the room.

Actually, now that you mention it, that makes a lot of sense.

So you do the input during an animation that isn't cancelled by jumping; like the opponent starting one of his super-moves or while punching the other guy. I think my initial plan was trying to do it while taunting, but I guess that wasn't too far off.

Thank you very much.

Edit: Isn't MikeZ one of the dudes on the Limited Edition's bonus DVD strategy guide? Like the one doing the over the top Russian accent: "PREDICTABLE AMERICAN MOVES!" That was a riot of laughter.

Orcs Must Die 2. The original is a great tower defense game. I'm hoping the second will be as good. It is due out at the end of July. Also, Torchlight 2, which I hope is better at launch than Diablo 3 was.

Yeah, considering that the heroes franchise died with heroes 4, I think it should be honoured and glorified posthumously.

THANK YOU.

I always loved H4, although it doesn't quite *fit* within the HoMM Franchise, I thought it was a solid game. Very interesting game mechanics, brilliantly written campaign dialogue, good additions (caravans, flagging windmill etc,)

I quite enjoyed Dungeons myself. I knew it was a different sort of game than Dungeon Keeper when I bout it so I was not disappointed that it was not a DK clone.

The game you linked to looks like it is going to be quite nice, and I Total Biscuit always does a good job of showcasing games.

in those enlightened days, players expected a somewhat working game at release after H3 peak but got no AI initially (well part of H3 AI in H4 game lol)...after some polish & expansions, it's fine in MP I think...still pretty amazing that it wasn't more broken considering the circumstances.

Here's a nice Letīs Play I'm watching atm.
