Depending on how inquisition made you feel, Andromeda is shaping up just fine . To me, I think I liked DA:I the most of all the games I've touched in the past few years so I am having high hopes for Andromeda.

Besides, BioWare is quite adept with bug-fixes, so given the long development it should be ironed out.

So I'm thinking of buying XCOM 2 on PS4 (don't have a strong enough PC to run it). Thoughts? I remember playing an XCOM game some years ago and I quite liked it. I'm a bit afraid of the 'unfair' mechanics this game has (mainly many % variables) and that it simply won't engross me enough. And there's no demo to try it...

EDIT: Nevermind, I bought XCOM 2. So far I'm enjoying it. Really like the pretty straightforward tactical combat, squad cutomization and streamlined economy management. Of course, how to handle various strategic choices is a different story. I'll probably end up with bad ones

They've taken too long for the next Zelda the entire Wii u lifespan and nothing but HD remakes to show. The game looks like a skyrim level for Nintendo which I totally dig but I'm just over any promo videos or info about it. Looks like it won't even launch till summer

The new Mario tho....only saw a screen shot but it looks really great. Reminded me of super Mario 64, my favorite. If they port smash bros I'll end up trading all my Wii crap in for the switch.

I don't mind waiting if the result is worth it, and I expect another Link to the Past or Ocarina of Time phenomenon, from what I've seen and read it seems wicked good. I'll buy the Switch for it.

First one in 3d, it was amazing! But too easy, the first Marios on NES and SNES were superior, to tell the truth Mario has been decreasing with the years, have you seen the new Mario Run on iOS? Mario dodges enemies on his own you don't have to do a thing lol

I've looked through games that will be released in the coming year 2017 (officialy, I'm not talking about GoW or RDR 2), and from my perspective there aren't that many interesting titles. Well, that's good, I'm starting to have less and less time to play games...

Putting that aside, the game I'm currently anticipating the most is probably Horizon: Zero Dawn. I'm a sucker for prehistoric-usqe games, and this does seem like one (yeah I know it's set in the future, robots blah blah, but still ). Far Cry Primal was decent, but I still have room for more

I agree, but to a certain extent. I don't think its unfair for me to have expected a zelda title for the wii u since every console before it has had at least one new addition to the series. They even teased us when the Wii u came out with that cool demo back in 2012. I kind of just buy my nintendo console for Smash, Zelda, and maybe a mario if it looks good, so I've just been left a little bitter after the wii u.

But the inventory looks great in Breath of the Wild. Equipping Link with different armor and an assortment of weapons is gonna be awesome

Couldn't agree more! I always sucked at the old ones as a kid but im gonna have another go at it soon, with this...

The last mario I really played was galaxy and they removed the punch action so I kind of hated it. You had to shake the wii remote or something to make Mario spin and that would damage things The set up was nice but it seemed like it was aimed for kids so I kinda stopped buying mario games after that. My friend showed me the IOS one and I just laughed when I saw that. I dont get what the game is, to watch mario run and jump on his own? lol? and i hear its ten bucks

Oh yeah I had forgotten this video I remember it now, didn't know it was official though. Yeah totally agree about the Wii U, I actually skipped that one... No new Zelda no money!
Yeah and Breath of Wild will be the first Zelda with an open-world, and this new approach with dungeons which is intriguing me.

Oh yeah the Nes was my very first console, I still have it!

Using emulators now though, less charm yes but at least you can cheat-save.
I mean, I don't exactly have the same amount of gaming-time now than when I was a kid.

It looks like Mass Effect Andromeda release date has shifted again, from October to March!

Ah, yes, thought I should mention that Origin is giving Mass Effect 2 for free at the moment. Probably as a warm up for Andromeda.

So I don't know if you guys remember when I posted this back in 2015.
Still waiting on that game.  All I have to say is after all these delays, this better be one of the best Persona games I've ever played.
Current release date for North America now moved from February of this year to April.

So, Microsoft canceled Scalebound, it's most interesting IP if you ask me (aside from it's d-bag human protagonist ofc)? And I even considered buying the console at some point. Forza Horizon 3 is not enough to justify buying a console with almost no interesting exclusives (and most of the other interesting games are avaible on other platforms).

So it's not like it was announced or that it will be in the near future but I just have to tell u guys what I am really waiting for.
First of all I will start by saying that I've always been a great fan of rts and in the more recent years of moba games. Still, I still play starcraft 2, but unlike in previous years where I was all about the multiplayer competitive side of things, in the past year I fell in love with the more casual side of things in co-op. I really like being able to play with multiple factions, which objectively cannot be balanced for multiplayer. Every time a new commander comes I get all excited about what new stuff I can play with. On the other hand the warcraft rts games are my all time favourite games, especially war3, which I've played more than any other game, which in time led me to dota which led me to other moba games.
Now just imagine the possibilities of a co-op in warcraft 4, unlike starcraft 2 has literally hundreds and hundreds of possible co-op commanders among the various races of the world; you could play murlocs, pirates, faceless just to name some that aren't the obvious races that everybody expects; hell even a gnomish mech faction.
So my answer must be co-op in warcraft 4, although that might taken a decade or so.

A friend of mine mentioned Star Citizen.

By the looks of it, it is something that should have been "No Man's Sky" added some strong features which reminds me of Alien Isolation. It does look interesting, impacting.

War 4 is probably THE most anticipated game (or rather a 'potential' game) of all time in my case. Seriously, I thought that last years Blizzcon would bring some news, but once again it was pretty disappointing. When you think about what a big mark in gaming history War 3 map editor left you can only hope for the best. I don't think it's sequel will be as big though and unfortunately times have changed and Blizzard is really taking their time with this, probably calculating if it will bring them enough $$$.

But if there ever will be a War 4 I'm buying a dedicated high-end machine just to play it (althogh knowing Blizzard it's requirements shouldn't be that big).

The past few years Blizzard has been nurturing their new babies like overwatch, hearthstone and heroes of the storm; more than anything else but I believe that BIG anouncements considering warcraft 4 and diablo 4 aren't that far away anymore. The problem is ( I think) that they need to come up with a good non-poisonous method of steady income for diablo 4 not like the real money auction house which along side Titan was Blizzard's biggest fiasco, and also they need to differentiate warcraft rts from starcraft rts but also from mobas; improving on what they had in war 3 I guess. They are letting a considerable time pass because they do not enjoy cannibalizing their own games which still happens even now since for example i play either starcraft for a while or either hots, I never have the time to focus on more than just one game so I switch on a montly basis generally, which is what most blizz gamers do I think.

I would take a pick at Warcraft IV if it ever came. I did love W2, but W3 I didn't enjoy (aside that map which came into being Dota). The effect of W3 upon me was similar of that H5, the transition from what I liked in W2 and H4 to something strange.

Fire Emblem: Echoes

While it's an aperitif before Fire Emblem 'Switch', I am eagerly awaiting this. To tell you the truth FE: Fates was ultimately disappointing. Don't get me wrong, it's a good game that I enjoyed, but I don't like the changes which were made. I don't like the pairing system (mainly opponent pairing), I don't like how they nerfed magic (making glass cannons into useless ranged units) and I don't like the 'fates' idea with branching story, especially because it was coupled with not-so-good plot. Plus there's a lot of repetitvness here, in each of the three games you visit the same locations. And, worst of all, this might be simply be a 'root problem' coming from me as I'm more and more bored with games in general, but this was the first FE game that I needed to force myself to complete...

And Echoes, although it's "Classic FE with a twist" (the game had some unique features that didn't stay with the series), seems like exactly the classic FE games that I enjoyed the most.
