Path of Exile 2.

I came so hard when I saw the announcement. The game looks SLICK and the gameplay improvements are MASSIVE. There's no way I'm not playing this on release day.

I can't even man. Whole stream I was nerdgasming my brains out.

Like you are playing as a Jedi who survived Order 66. How can you not struggle with the Dark Side? No inner struggle? No desperation to become stronger to continue to live so you turn to the darkness? No anger? No urge to lash out? Like come on! The struggle between Light and Dark has been the very crux of Star Wars since its conception. Almost all games where you play as a Force sensitive give you the ability to choose your side. KOTOR 1 & 2, the Jedi Knight series.

So far Fallen Order looks lack luster.

Heh, just be honest: you always choose dark side over light, liek most players.

But yeah because the game didn't interest me that much, I didn't even realize/think about that dark path was missing, which is actually a big thing.

The problem with games today is that official reviews can be "bought" by companies to be positive (Pokemon S&S?), while gamers are always whining and are entitled as such usually bash games because of the littlest things or some hasthag or reddit spam. So getting constructive opinions is even harder then ever

Y'know I have been a bit harsh on it these past few days.

But I just watched my friend stream Fallen Order for 8 hours yesterday and watched him finish the game. The game is actually pretty decent.

And despite no Dark Side path, the game doesn't let that stop it.

All in all, I give it a 7.5/10

I was looking forward to Warcraft 3 Reforged but it's a big letdown.

It's basically a reskin of models with nothing new added for a price of full game. It's also poorly optimized.

And here is how they explain their lazyness: "When we went to BlizzCon 2018 with the Warcraft III: Reforged demo and showed off what we could do, we were actually taken aback by a lot of the community's response to it. Some asked, “what are you doing messing with this thing?” - Pete Stilwell, were in reality Activision probably decided to cut the corners with this one cus $.

Blizzard is ded.

yeah Soytcivision did a lot of bad decisions in terms of Blizzard.

One of the reasons that the conclusion of BFA sucks so much it isn't worth repeating.

The whole W3 Refunded snowstorm has to be one of the biggest affairs since Fallout 76 if not bigger. All this while Blizzard posts a laconic blue post that has to be as corporate redacted as it was "humanly" possible...

All has been said in this matter, I'll only add that this is one of my biggest disappointments in recent years. They literally broke a game that was super easy to "remake": leave everything as is and only add updated graphics plus a few tweaks here and there. No, it was "easier" to remove most working things (which they will re-introduce through patches to some extent) while making controversial decisions (Reforged is now the only playable Warcraft 3, even if you own Classic it will reinstall it or "all your editors work belong to Blizzard" policy). But most importantly game is unplayable due to framerate drops and stattering. Their lie-induced advertising proved otherwise, and surprising players who didn't lurk in-between forums and Blizzards scarce interviews.

How long can you hide your lazyness, understaffed and under-budgeted projects behind "Blizzard quality that takes time". What a joke...

EDIT: I requested a refund. If I recall this is my first time ever. Sad.

Wating for DLC to Planetfall. The game got a great boost with the latest patch to economy, AI and balancing to name a few. Triumph shows how a game should be supported.

Other then that I wonder if Immortal Realms will be any good but there is no set release date as of yet.

I might be in for Animal Crossing NH, because I'm looking for an addictive game for kids.

After that I guess there's Final Fantasy 7 Remake.

Yesterday I started playing Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice.

A sequel was announced last year: Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2

Pretty sure it will be on more platforms than just Xbox.

So I played the FF7 Remake demo which was released today and... I don't know what to think about it.

On hand it does look really good, and almost every element of the game is expanded upon (character are fleshed out, every scene is expanded etc). Seems it takes PS4 capabilities to the extreme. On the other I just can't get around (played on Normal) this battle system: it feels clunky as an action game, and it doesn't feel much tactical outside of patterns that you rinse and repeat (like attacking enemy from behind or using elemental weakness). Almost button mashy and it doesn't help you execute special commands with the same button. Camera also feels off. Well it does feel good when it clicks, but at the same time frustrating as enemy attacks constantly interrupt your actions (using items also seems to be limited) and so much happens on the screen that it's hard to keep up or guess what you actually need to do (dodging is slow and blocks don't seem to work on bigger attacks). It feels like you cannot do anything about constantly loosing HP (boss attacks are aoe and frequent), and the need to heal after bigger attacks which was organic in a turn-based system, does not feel so in action oriented one. I wasn't sure about this change in how battles are played out and the demo definately doesn't lift my worries.

Another of my concerns is that the game supposedly covers only the Midgard part of the game while some of the better moments of the game happen after you leave it.

I just don't know what to think... I want this game to work as it's probably the last big PS4 exclusive before next-gen, but the battles put me off so far.

I've picked up Immortal Realms: Vampire Wars on Steam. It's still a game in the making (release planned for Spring 2020), but there is access to the beta. For a "first game the're making" and "beta" it looks pretty polished already, it's only lacking in optimization I think. It's kinda a mix of Total War games (capturing regions, building your economy based on that) and TBS battles, with an addition of action cards which give various effects (reminds me of Armello) both on strategy map and in battles. Most importantly it has a heavy gothic horror feeling as every faction you are playing with are basically vampires and their horror underlings like bats, gargoyles or werewolves. So I'm getting a heavy Disciples II vibe here.

I only tried the tutorial so far, will probably look into some other elements like campaign and will wait for the release.

I've recently found this love letter to Master of Orion 2! Has anyone here tried Interstellar Space Genesis? If so was it good? Was it stable? Apparently the indie team behind it consists of only 2 people haha! It looks pretty awesome so am thinking about trying it out now that it's finally on sale (it's normally pretty pricey lol).

This guy has a done a nice gameplay vid of a recent release which making me think about hitting the button on it!:

You'd be dissapointed by Soyderlands (as the third sequel is known), the story is complete garbage.
