I am very excited over "Age of Mythology: Extended Edition". From what I have read in the Steam Forums it appears that they are much more ambitious with this one compared to other re-published old games.
Release date: 8th May...

It's a shame that RTS is a dead genre, otherwise we could have looked forward to new epic games instead of remakes of old ones.

Hmm lets, how many good RTS franshies are there...
Warcraft - more than 10 years since there was a new title.
Starcraft - While SC2 is certainly a good game, it is miles from SC1, and that's without mentioning its less then appealing storyline.
Age of Empires - DEAD 
Command and Conquer - Hasn't had a good title since RA2 Yuri's Revenge.
Okay sorry, C&C Generals was a decent enough of a game. Certainly fun for some time.
Excuse me for being negative, but compared to how much love other genres gets RTS is at least not in a healthy condition. (It's dead in my eyes!! )

You know a new C&C was in development just last year right? (albeit cancelled due to too much negative feedback from beta)
And C&C3 is very much more than decent, it's great.
Then you also realise that SC2:LoV is coming.
Conveniently forgot Planetary Annihilation.

Yeah I know that C&C was canceled, which actually made me realized how few and good RTS franchises there are still left and active.
You are right though, even if I am afraid of how badly LotV might be, it is still the one game I look forward to the most. Also hopefully blizzard will grace us with Warcraft 4 in the future, once they are done with SC2.:/

I disagree, but yea at the same time I know that many people agree with you. (but I cannot phantom why, C&C3 doesn't have the same sense of apocalyptic mystic as Tiberian Sun.)

But C&C 3 does have fricking solid gameplay true to the series and SO many innovations upon the basic RTS formula it makes SC2 look like it was done in the 80s.
If you want to play good RTS currently the Supreme Commander Forged Alliance Forever is the way to go. Supcom and C&C 3 were the games to define current RTS advancement and they're damn hard to beat. SC2 is currently dominating the competitive scene and holding the genre back.
The sad thing is that current game budgets are about 1/20th of what the budgets for C&C3 and Supcom were and as such we will probably not get such good games in a long time.
The current free/cheap game trend is keeping majority of the games back nowadays. Only Battlefields and such get HUGE budgets while everything else gets small ones, there's no big or middle budget ground.
Planetary Annihilation has around $2.2M now. Sure, sounds fine and dandy but when you know that Supcom had $10M, SIX YEARS EARLIER you start to see just how low that really is.

Maybe if they finally get their animation studio working properly.
Seriously I hate their fighters' rigid moves, everytime you press a button it feels like the characters skip like 10 frames of animations.
Still... it's MK.

I really wish that there was a decent MK after 10 years. Epic trailer is epic though, but it never addresses the gameplay..

10 years? I think my latest MK game was when I were 8 or perhaps 9, so that's around 95-97, making it 17-18 years ago. Dang I remember it was my favorite game back then, but any new game was often my favorite and any particular game would only last me a month or so.. and maybe a revisit occasionally during the following years.

The last good MK was MK: Trilogy for me, and everything after that was pretty.... well, sh*t. I may be nostalgic, but all MKs I've seen after that, meh.
Oh, and the guy that chose the music for this trailer should be fired.
Trailer actually looks good, but "song" killed it completely for me. If it was just music without Lyrics, it would be amazing.

Well, I found MK 9 quite good actually.
But yeah, when I heard this rap track in the trailer my first thought was "what the f*ck!". Ruined the trailer entirely for me...
And God, let there be a Warcraft IV announcement soon. Maybe the upcoming Warcraft movie (which I'm really excited about) will make it happen...

Well, in the interview, Dustin Browder(Lead designer of Starcraft 2) said that Warcraft 4 will happen much later. Since RTS is "dying" genre, the last thing it needs is to split up its community.

Did anyone watch the E3 press conferences? I watched and I am really excited about Batman Arkham Knight, and I'm really looking forward to it. I haven't considered buying a next gen console though. It will be PS4 or Xbox One... I'm also looking forward to whole Halo series so that's why I'm considering Xbox... since it is only for xbox, maybe I will buy that!
