It's much the same for general units too, they decimate spear units in a charge, not sure about emplaced pikemen tho, but why you would charge your general into spears is beyond me (unless you are trying to trim the imbecile branch of the family that for some peculiar reason inherited the throne).

I dunno about general units, but I think the end tier cavalry units are just superbly strong, French ones especially so
And the Teutonics had their fear ability, which at times means the pikes will get scared and break rank

I wanna know how'll they implement flying units. harassers, as in swooping down repeatedly, staying relatively safe or outright charging then getting stuck in melee. probably depends on the unit, hopefully (pegasus knights should charge while terradons should harass).

There's a fantasy TW esque game called King Arthur, it has flying creatures in it, I imagine CA will do it in a similar fashion.

I'm a huge nerd for the Shin Megami Tensei: Persona and Devil Summoner games so I'm obviously looking forward to Persona 5.
I'm considering finally buying a PS4 just for that game.

Not having played Fallout and not having good memories from Skyrim, can't call myself excited. I'll keep an eye on it though.
If it's just skyrim with nukes i won't care.

The Fallout games tend to be more chaotic and humorous than the Elder Scrolls games. Though maybe you should try the classic games in the series first (Fallout 1 and 2) to get a feel for the lore.

I did not liked Fallout New Vegas(pretty much the only fallout game I played)
mainly for the athmosphere in it.
It is using heavy loads of satire which is not a bad thing, but the whole humor thing leaves the overall feel of a post apoc game pretty damn "meh".
It is a good game in general, the story in New Vegas was nice, but in the end, I felt a bit cheated.
too much cold war satire in this game for me. and the whole "oh the world was blown up with nukes? eh, who gives a crap, let's go gamble". I got this feeling during my entire playthrough of New Vegas.
Prefer Metro games and books to this one. the athmosphere is amazing, it really feels like a post apoc expirience.
even STALKER games were better in this aspect, and it's not a post apoc game in a wide sense. just some drunk khokhols with AKs hanging out around Chernobyl NPP, collecting weird stuff and fighting bloodsuckers.

It's the way skyrim plays i dislike. Lore seems fine in Fallout, doesn't make it fun to play. It's just not for me, is all.

I just don't get how Skyrim could not implement the body system from fallout, you'd think a medieval setting would feature dismemberment especially when a previous title has done it well (i know that they're different teams working on the games, but c'mon). Skyrim's combat is too impersonal for me, I hate it when finishers are just some random cutscenes that I have no control over. I want to disembowel someone because I struck with my attack aiming for his gut, in that regard Fallout has always been superior in my mind, (at times a little too much gore, like chopping people's limbs off with a straight razor is a little unrealistic, but still) which really shouldn't be the case, given that Skyrim is a more melee oriented game.
But yeah, after having played games like warband I just can't play Skyrim anymore, it doesn't have the graphics or fancy scripting, but it has extremely solid core gameplay mechanics and a very enjoyable and rewarding combat.
I mostly look forward to Fallout 4, hoping that it recaptures that "apocalyptic" feel that Fallout 3 had, but I doubt that I'm going to buy another Elder Scrolls title, not till they rehaul the tedius combat system (without mods I would never have touched Skyrim again).

Other than that, I don't enjoy computer games as much as I used to. Getting old maybe :?

I played Devil Survivor but never did get around to picking up the sequel. I've been told it's good though so I may have to stop being lazy one of these days and go buy it.

I'd prefer them making the game more easily moddable, to get a custom model in the game you have to painstakingly do certain passages, even worse if you want to make it weight scalable, and don't get me started on animations.
Bethesda, how do you expect modders to do wonders if they have to do extra work because you won't give the necessary tools and detailed instructions on how to use said tools...
Funny thing, Oblivion is still easier to mod than Skyrim is in that regard...

Scalebound - I hope this exclusive will be finally sth worthwile when it comes to dragon-oriented games. Who knows, maybe this will make me buy Xbox One (I'm already quite a sucker for Forza Horizon 2 and Forza 6)? Though that teenage protagonist makes me a bit skeptical...
Tales of Zestiria - I was never a fan of the "Tales..." battle system, but this games looks very promising, I like the setting and graphics...
Fire Emblem IF - I'm a huge fan of the series, though I'm a bit disappointed with this entries Pokemon-ish approach (for those who don't know, the game will be released in two versions which greatly differ after Chapter 6, and, whatever it means, in difficulty). I prefer complete packages in one game.
Also, Armello (still). While the game disappointed me with it's content (and replayability as such), adding a second hero for each clan (and the decision to make the Bandit Clan available for all) plus some still-not-announced content that devs promise in the full Septembers game release might just give the game the replayability I seek. It definitely has potential and it's a unique experience (I'm really fond of the games setting and atmosphere)...
