Well, I'm not so sure about the specifics in France but socially, if you had any African heritage in 19th century, it was considered "black enough" in most places. Visually, on the other hand, he looked like this:

I don't agree. This is serious issue and by your acts you create more tension and racism. I often see nicks as "Mohamed" or "Ahmed" posting on french forums about how they gonna get us. Guess what, most of time they are white youths having fun.
However the result is catastrophic.

Yeah, I have that on my radar, just as well as The Missing:
Both Series 2 of The Fall and The Missing will be released on DvD on December 26th, so it's something for the near future.
A show with an extremely high discomfort factor for a somewhat conventional cop show is
Touching Evil.

Started watching The Knick. Hospital series staring Clive Owen and directed by Steven Soderbergh. What makes this hospital show significantly different from the others is, it takes place in the beginning of the 20th Century, with first episode opening in the year 1900:
- More has been learned about the treatment of the human body in the last five years than was learned in the previous 500. 20 years ago, 39 was the number of years a man could expect from his life. Today, it is more than 47.

I just found out they banned the Big Bang Theory in China. I'm having a hard time trying to imagine what pissed the Chinese authorities about a show that isnt slightly political? I wonder if it's the whole "our youth is losing their own culture" kind of conservatism.

Currently watching Fargo, Big Bang Theory, The Walking Dead, Brooklyn Nine-Nine ... and Deathnote, my girlfriend has never watched an anime before (and I've only watched 2-3 myself), and she likes it. Good stuff

Breaking Bad spin-off Better Call Saul started out good. The first season of Marco Polo was also above average, not great but definetely worth watching.
