Well, I wouldn't ignore this arc. Alucards mindset seems to have changed drastically now. This might lead to some bad things in the future...

Elvin said:
Isaac got some interesting interactions,

Yes, his arc was pretty interesting, I also think it has the most nods to the Castlevania series overall. I wonder about this character, in the games he seems to be the bad guy (if you're interested read about Hector and Isaac in the wikis).

Elvin said:
Saint Germain is interesting and looking forward to seeing more of him.

His appearance is different, but they depicted this "time-traveling magician" in accordance with lore.

Elvin said:
Lenore is simply love.

Hmm yeah, Not only she's a babe, but the end you can say "well played my dear" (even if it was predictable). Although we don't know her full personal motives yet, despite what she said at the end.

Elvin said:
Also nice twist regarding the missing people.

Yep, quite a nice way to show that this series is really dark at its core.

For those sleeping on the Harley Quinn animated, check it out. Fun, violent and a little heartfelt, it is more of a DC self-parody through the eyes of total losers. The joker, Poison Ivy, Harley, Batman are all done pretty well. As for Gordon.. you'll see

My favourite British TV comedy is 'Allo 'Allo!. The action takes place in a small rural French town in the occupation zone. It follows the misfortunes of a bar owner, Renne, who is forced to maneuvre between the intersets of the Wehrmacht, the Gestapo, the Resistance, the British and his wife to save his skin and to keep his love affairs with the bar's waitresses a secret. It's hilarious, check it out if you have nothing else to do.

The man from my avatar is in actuallity a character from the series - General von Klinkerhoffen, the one overseeing the administration and occupation of the local area.

Animated dark series in Mesoamerica? Me dig!

Onyx Equinox

PS: Kinda reminds me of Avatar, but with a "little" bit more blood.

Btw if they tackle a Mesoamerican theme why not do something similar and build around Native American myths, like the Pacific Northwestern ones. That would be cool.

I'm not the kind of guy who watches TV a lot, but I do enjoy some shows a lot. I get especially excited about fantasy shows. So let me just talk about those a little.

I liked the first season of "The Witcher" a lot. I loved the whole atmosphere and the acting (especially Geralt himself). I realise there are things the show handels different than the books, but since I haven't yet read those, I don't have to be annoyed about those things. ^^
It is very different from Game of Thrones and I think it's a mistake to do too much comparing. The general style of fantasy of The Witcher feels to me like it has more in common with The Lord of the Rings than with GoT.
Parts of the show I found to be brilliant (e.g. Geralt fighting Renfri), others were a bit weak. So I hope they can do more of the brilliant stuff in the second season. The show surely got me excited about reading the books at some point.

I loved "Game of Thrones" from season 1-6 (1-4 were brilliant, 5 still good enough and 6 again, at least in part brilliant). 7 and 8 were so bad I think I'll never get over it. The love for a good story can be very deep and so the pain is felt intensely. Still waiting for the old man to finish his books. In the meantime I hope season 8 was bad enough so that I can forget everything that happened in it. Otherwise, season 8 was nothing but a spoiler to the book. ^^

I am looking forward to hearing more about the upcoming Lord of the Rings show. Since I am a Tolkien nerd that show brings with it a lot of potential, for good or bad. I hope the makers of that show don't believe "The Hobbit" trilogy was well made. I also hope they don't try and do too much like The Lord of the Rings trilogy (which I love). I hope they'll do their own thing, but being conscious about the general tone of Tolkiens works.

Brave New World

This, as one can expect, has very little to do with Huxley’s original book. I was expecting something very mediocre but as long as you dont keep your expectations too high, it turned out to be quite a good tv series. Dystopian future society where social mobility is none, monogamy is a taboo and the whole “social body” is organized in a utilitarian hive mentality. It all works out fine, everybody is happy (pills make sure of that) until a “savage” from “today’s culture” makes his way in.

I'm mostly watching Netfilx on the computer these days, so all of these are something I saw there...

The Wu Assassins
It's not the best series in the world but I really enjoyed the fight scenes and the plot is not so bad as I was expecting. Over all it was a good surprise.

Toy Boy
I still didn't finished this one but it was a great disappointment. Maria Pedraza has been in top spanish-speacking series like Money Heist and Elite, so I was expecting something of that level but the series fail in both not being that sexy and not having a good plot. It's  Cristina Castãno sexiness that saves the day and that says a lot...

The Witcher
I even made a map called "An Witcher Adventure", so excited this one kept me... Great performances and solid fight scenes, the plot is confusing, since you start with no idea you are watching different timelines but it all clears out towards the end.
I've become a Cavill's and Sapkowski fan.

Norsemen
It's humor of the best kind, I really loved the first two seasons but the third didn't even made me laugh.

Just so you know, the series takes a dump on some characters or parts of the story. Not noticeable if you're unfamiliar with the originals but some decisions were ugly.

I'm unfamiliar with the series from above The Blood of Elves but getting more familiar every day, it's my reading at the moment and yes, I've already found many differences and missing points, the more obvious being the characters of Triss Merigold, Tissaia and Nenneke.* But I still think it is quite good.
I just hope The Watchmen gets such a good team, cause Alan Moore is even harder to make justice and for ravaged peaces of art we already have GoT and their's 300 and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon...

*Oh! I left behind the worst, Jaskier and his relation with Geralt. Total blunder, but I guess all heroes need their Sancho Pança nowadays.

Watching the Witcher I found myself bored most of the time. Henry Cavill does a good job but as expected they blew all of their money on the pilot episode to get people hooked (which was a good  episode) and then followed it up with a bunch of mediocre episodes with a wandering plot.

Writers try too hard to be trendy and 'kewl' by making non-linear timelines. I don't have a problem with the script jumping around in time but there should be a good reason for it. They just randomly start off with a big confrontation and then go backwards to a bunch of non-climactic prequel garbage. Just a cheap bait & hook, but hey, I guess it worked. *claps*

They want to introduce the Wild Hunt at some point, but those are big shoes to fill. Arguably the best villain (villains) of the decade in video games. The Crones too: awesome villains and big shoes to fill. It sounds lame, but they definitely need a bigger budget if they want to do it properly and make it all come to life.

They also should have kept the Slavic undertones instead of producing the 80,000th show in a row that feels like medieval England + magical creatures thrown in. Just change the names of the characters and rename the show "Merlin is now a hunchback girl and Lancelot drinks contraband steroid potions" if you want.

No. I already played the games so I'm just not motivated to do that even though they're suppose to be good.

In my opinion, jumping around in time usually works better in books than on the screen.

I agree, it also works better in movies then on TV series. To wait another week to find that after all things aren't going the way you interpreted them, because something you thought has happened is still to happen is bad to keep you interested. Plus, it makes it even more necessary not to miss a single episode, which in the case of Netflix isn't a problem but it would be on HBO or Fox Series (don't know if those are the exact names in America).

I neither liked nor disliked The Witcher. Cavill did a good job, on my point of view and, as some here already said, some characters had some odd blunders. All in all, got me entertained, but not enough to expect a next season as my life depended on it. If it comes, it comes.

I'm still to return watching Westworld. Might have watched 4 episodes only and I was really engaged. I'll probably have to rewatch everything because that 4 episodes might have been 6 or 5.

The only series I keep tabs on is the Expanse, either on TV (season 5 to premiere 'soon') or book (9th and last book). For those who enjoy science-fiction, might be a good option.

People suggested me to watch ... hm ... Dark?

So I watched the first episode of Lovecraft Country.

I like it for it's aesthetics (great recreation of the 50's though they could've hold with that one rap piece :/) and almost instant action (first scene is already a pretty nerdy mash-up of various cult classics), and we already have blood and gore at the end.

But what I dislike about this kind of shows (and most recent shows with historical black communities) is that they are so aggressive with representing the racial conflicts now and discrediting the whites. Yes, I know times were sh*t for black people then, but can we please focus on the plot and not showing white people as some kind of one-sided villainous mob? It's easy to judge now, but times were different then, and decent people are in most cases eclipsed by the bad sort.

A coworker who knows how much I love Lovecraftian themes, told me about it. I heard about the usual anti-white tripe in it, and I told him I'd never bother. He already knew I'd say that before he asked me, but he figured he'd mention it nonetheless.
