Watching Babylon Berlin, one of the best series I’ve come across for quite a while.
Interesting period (pre-WW2 Berlin), great script, good production value, stylish presentation.

I know I'm starting to get boring with this "white man victimization" but after the third episode of Lovercraft Country I noticed there is a kind of pattern in which whites are depicted in some kind of "monster of the week" fashion. Each episode a single-minded group of racist whites (and their supporters) who seem to be only enjoying pestering the black in their lives, are gruesomely killed off at the end. This time we also have a mad scientist who made Frankenstein experiments on living blacks. The series really does seem like some kind of "get-back on whites for their past misgivings" fare and only uses history as a pretext...
And it's not the only show of this kind. If this is how nowadays entertainment will look, then we are one step from regressing as a civilization because this is how TV looked in the 40's and 50's.
I still enjoy the horror an mystery elements of the show though

Also Blobby, the only ones you're "boring" are the resident soys. It's good to call out all the BS in the modern TV shows.

I think the general idea behind the book that the show is based on comes from the idea of mocking Lovecraft because of his views. You know, making blacks the centre of his lore (like how the main character is a central piece in the rituals) and poking at white supremacy of the 50's. But this is not how we build common ground. I should enjoy a show for its artistic values and not be bothered by some kind of agenda (and anyone who thinks this is not the case should watch at least one episode). The show is basically "whites were one sided a-holes at that time... oh look a monster!". While "blacks" are mostly shown in positive lights, not on the personal problems level (cus some have problems like alcoholism or carefreeness), but as a "fun" and giddy community. And it doesn't do it with "subtlety", it paints the picture with a hammer. If someone thinks this kind of depictions don't build tensions then you're naive.

There's no artistic values or good storytelling anymore in the western shows. There is only agenda. And oil tanker amounts of soy.
The last good films I saw, was "Ad Astra" along with "The Irishman", and the rest sucked so much it isn't worth mentioning. Marvel and DC capecrap included, although the "Justice League Dark: Apokolips War" was OK, but then again DC animated films rarely suck.
And no good western TV shows to catch my attention, ever since I finished the season of "Vikings" where *spoilers i guess* Ragnar died, forgot which one was that, afaik Season 5.

the problem with "black power" anything, is that it sets in black people's minds, that they're supposed to have power over anything else simply because they're black. not through hard work, not through manipulating the system, not through networking with the right people(people in power already). by assuming they should have any power because it is OWED to them, they end up crying "racist!" whenever they find out they're just like everyone else in the lower and middle class, and don't get special treatment.
the most ridiculous part is, they're pandered to, and privileged more than non-blacks in their class. and the more they cry "racist!", the more they're further pandered to; because of guilty white liberals who push a seperatist agenda that is pushed upon them by the globalists.

There was a black YouTuber that was calling out his fellow people falling for obvious pandering, when it's an obvious policy to sell more to their target demographic.
On the other end of the spectrum there was that guy that wrote an article to complain why a ww2 film did not have black characters. Okay.

There are a lot of reasonable blacks, but they're usually deemed "misguided" when they adress this kind of stuff. Kinda like woman who laugh at feminists.
