Need help with terminology!

So while translating this thing I have stumbled upon the term three-way array (also four-way array). I know what a three-dimensional array is, but not a three-way array. Is it just another name for the same thing or something substantially different? If someone happens to have a Polish term for it, that'd be even better, but any help is appreciated.

X-way is the same thing as x-dimensional
