Ok, I fixed it I just clicked on the "gu" file in the Heroes VI map and it got updated after a while.

Just installed MMH6 from the disc and saved it in My computer ( games ) folder. There's one problem though... it only shows the shortcut and the folder with the game is not there just the shortcut. I can playe yes, but where is the data and everything?! I searched everywhere and i can't find it, I also used the search button but its not there! :/ I want to make a map but i cant because of this problem. Help?

If You check the properties of the shortcut (by right-clicking on it, then selecting Properties from the drop-down menu) You should be able to see the access path in the Target box.

Factions
So am i correct, i cannot pick random as my faction like in a hot seat or custom game?
Even so i have to make my own heroes to play any faction if I am online in this Conflux stuff? That's too bad, amongst other things... Even though it actually has some good ideas, its full of unfriendly features.

Apparently when you create the game the hero selection is random.. Not exactly how I envisioned it to be but nevermind that. There are a couple of heroes to try and plenty to unlock when connected to the conflux but you can create your own if you wish. You can unlock new heroes in the altar of wishes.

Ummm, you were saying? So much for it not being that way. That's exactly how it is and frankly it's downright idiotic. As far as I can remember, we have always been able to choose the hero we wanted before starting a game. These heroes were all available from the start and we didn't have to do something as stupid as having to create them first. What kind of moronic logic is that?
I swear, these people have no clue what Heroes is truly about.

I don't understand how they say "there are nearly 500 abilities/skills" The skill tree is always the same regardless of the faction and it is small.

There are preset heroes, but they're only available in offline mode (1 per faction). Akasha, Sveltana, Aguirre, Yume and Kraal are also premade if you have the deluxe/collector.

Talking about Heroes, unique or campaign, what are their special abilities?
I'm really up for overpowered Heroes ala H5. Kinda like Markal, Raelag and King Tolghar. These were so cool, though now I would rather every faction to have an overpowered buffed up hero.

I just started the game minutes ago. The installation was soomth and the game was actived successfully. However when I tried to launch the game it crashed. The good thing was after trying several hours I managed to solve the problem.
The animation at the beginning is impressive.Especially the section Adon fighting the waver. The music from heroes II and VI reminds me a lot of the old times.
But I encountered bugs the others metioned before, like the flicking cursor..and crashed when launched the game as I said above...and I'v heard about many other bugs. The other thing is the texts are so tiny that it's hard to read those contents. O.o
Anyway the game is good itself, but I am a little disppointed about the tons of bugs and the bad compatibility. Block Hole could do better than this, I guess.

That's true, and I'm sure even more unlock when you go through the campaigns, but still that's not the point. There is no reason why it should be this way. Every hero (minus the special campaign heroes) should be available from the start just like it's been for as long as I can remember.
I honestly wonder if they even understood Elvin when he brought this up to them. They take out half the resources, the town screens and this feature. Makes you wonder if they even played the series before.

Here are the "special" heroes that came with the Collectors/Deluxe version. You'll see why special is in quotations in a second. 
Akasha - Shark Guard
Aguirre - Agony Master
Kraal - Orc Warrior Master
Sveltana - Stone Skin Master
Yume - Ice Armor Master
Also of note, the tooltip for this was never finished. All it says are their specialties and even though you can figure out what they are, there is no way to know exactly the benefit they get. Is it extra speed, extra growth, longer spell duration, more spell damage, what?

So I am guessing, since there is really no one that can help us on here that we have to wait for the newer patch to come out?
Or wait for a whole new game with expansions to come out?
Apparently the ones with problems can not get it to work at the moment.

Whenever I try to join a game it says connection time-out. Does anyone know how to solve this? Im trying to play with my brother, but i cant because this always pops up. My brother played games before and it worked fine, but now he can't. MY internet connection is pretty fast.
