Overall bugs/issues so far

Just made a thread so with bugs so far. PLEASE DON'T COMMENT ON THIS THREAD AS IT IS JUST HERE FOR THE OVERALL BUGS AND ISSUES THAT THE USERS WROTE ON THIS COMMUNITY. I would be happy if Elvin would send this list of bugs to Irina so she could show this to the developers. These bugs/issues are written from other Users mostly - not just me! I will update the list from time to time.

BUGS
- You can't see a unit's standard damage anywhere, you can only see the damage a whole stack will do.

- Flickering cursor.

- When increasing unit speed in the options, their voice goes squeaky and annoying.  

- When a unit from another faction is in my army and you look at your army's morale, they are at the normal values but the decreased morale can only be seen during a battle.

- Griffins dive ability doesn't work ( doesn't do any damage ), when played on a multiplayer map.

- Enraged Cyclops triggers burning rage with his mighty slam, but it's supposed to work with his laser beam only.

- Sometimes after horseshoe appears over unit there is no "lucky" strike at all. Unit deals it's normal damage min-max. No info about triggered luck in battle log.

- Ability which adds magic power to a hero doesn't, it doesn't show on the hero's statistics before playing a duel on multiplayer. However when comparing a skill damage before and after you can see a difference. The game has to be restarted before it finally shows, but sometimes after restarting it still doesn't show.

- In the first mission of the undead campaign and some others units become unrecruitable. It shows 0 below each creature - if there wasn't any.

- Tormentor and Lacerator's Taste of Pain ability is shown twice when you right click on the creature after he got attacked or when he attacks.

- When Mother Breeder shots the lmps from her mouth somehow the imps change their colour from red to orange.

- When Pit Lord is doing critical attack we can't see it the special screen.

- When Archlich dies you can see some green dots which are left after he dies if you look close.

- Abyssal Worm seems a little buggy, when you enter a battle (after buying the tower for the Abyssal Worm) the worm appear weirdly in the battle field, and disappear weirdly after winning.

- The Abyssal Worm appears very buggy when it enters the battle and also when it disappears, when a battle is won or lost.

- Whenever Praetorians get next to an enemy stack, horizontally, vertically or diagonally, the enemy stack gets a visual effect as if they're gaining the extra defense provided by the Praetorians even though they're not actually gaining it. Same happens to stacks the player against the AI or other player's Praetorians.

- Remember button on the login window - still not fixed.

- After Shakkas cut scene A window appears which says that you have failed a quest due to the fact that the player has chose a different reputation - tears over Blood. The Window cannot be closed as the close button doesn't do anything.
- Iron Feather isn't unlocked after obtaining it in Anton's campaign. This also happens with Malthua's Cleaver in Sandor's map #2.

- In multi-player a dual battle won doesn't show on the profile statistics.

- When you attack a stack that you will kill with that blow, it still shows that it can "Retaliate"

- When a stack is affected by the Frozen ability, the shoe that pops up indicates that movement speed is altered +100%, but it should be   -100% (only a visual effect).

- The Centaur uses the "Vigilant Scout" ability, which should only be for the Centaur Marauder, as an upgrade ability.

- The description of the "Vigilant Scout" ability of the Centaur Marauder, refers to "NullCaster", instead of "Centaur Marauder".
- When I attacked few Centaurs the stack attacked 4 times in a row. Bug or is it from morale?

- Map refuses to work at random times, when just loading a previous save game. Really annoying if you played the map for few hours!

PERSONAL DISLIKES/THOUGHTS

- With tactics, you have to form the troop every battle, they don't remain in the formation from the previous battle.

- Easy AI should be easy as many players say - barely challenging at all.

- Sveltana's voice acting is said to be horrible.

- When switching to the next day without visible enemies, you can hardly notice the day switch.

- The current day/week/year is not shown below the mini-map which is said to be annoying, even though you can check it by right-clicking and holding on the hourglass. It would be better if it would be just below the mini-map.

- The icon for luck when a stack gets a lucky strike is upside down. The horseshoe is shown downwards, which is a symbol for bad luck. Upwards is for good luck.
- Normal Skeletons have the Webbing effect in the spears they throw, even though their creature info doesn't show it.

- Townscreens... yes, yes.

WISHLIST

- As seen in the skill tree the "magic attack" and "magic defense" contains elementals as well but you can't see how much of your defense/attack is air, how much is fire, etc.

- Some players think that when a creature is frozen its attack should be decreased by x%.

- When playing a multi-payer or a scenario it would be easier and quicker if the weekly growth of your creature would be shown in the town/castle.

- More buildings should be in the Town/Castle, not only a Tavern, Marketplace and few Unique buildings. Many think that as there is not so many it destroys the atmosphere of HOMM.

- Different battle sizes. Apparently the developers said that the game will have battlefields of different sizes only bridge and very few others have, but not enough.

- Breeder/Mother Breeder is said to be really weak. Make it stronger by giving it a new ability or/and a better damage.

- Many complain that there is not enough Adventure Map buildings aroound which make the map plain, as the resources have been decreased aswell. Many should be added in further expansions. Maybe few in the patches.

- A Battlefield should never be plain ( it should have at least 1 obstacle ) because often a battlefield hasn't got any which looks boring and plain.

I think you should make a difference between bugs, balance problems and wish lists/opinons (such as wanting more adventure map buildings)

Personally, here I have a few wishes:

* All Heroes now have Tactics, like in H5.
* Shooters can now attack gates and walls.
* The game now remembers unit postioning and Custom settings.

preference for at least 1 battle field obstacle ALL the time - lmao

misses some things I mentioned.

who said no benefit from fort conversion? re-converting a fort that got captured by enemy showed an increase of gold/day from 250 to 500.

The thing with tactics is that most battles I change the start position configuration due to different terrain so not that much of a deal.

Just noticed a very minor bug that should be easily fixable.

When you attack something "w" and "d" work for "wait" and "defend", however if you are ATTACKED they do not work and you have to press the buttons in the bottom left to perform those actions. Minor inconvenience but a bug nonetheless.

I think the peson ment that he/she wants to have at least one obstacle on a battlefield, because sometimes it has none - so it would be better to have one and make it a little more interesting than just plain.

Sveltana's voice acting is just fine. It's a matter of personal preference.

One bug you missed is the Fate weaver, warlord's Rush skill. If you use the shape shift ability and subsequently use the warlord's skill to bring it's attack forward you bug the game and get 2 attacks every round thereafter.  Unfortunately you will also lose a full stack after every combat you do this, they just die at the end (but can be rehired back through the special building).

And no, it's not because she's a Necromancer, because Anastasya is one as well and she shows quite a lot of emotions .

I thought Sveltana's voice actor was absolutely brilliant when I played the demo, head and shoulders above all the rest, and the only one I actually believed as a character (ok, in defence of some of the actors, it should be said that whoever scripted the orc dialoges should find another work, ugh!).

It's odd that I don't have the same blinking cursor problem that everyone else seems to have.  Could it be because I'm using nVidia's newest beta drivers?  You might want to give that a shot if you're having trouble.

I have written this on the bugs tread, but also wanted to write it here, as someone must hear and fix this bug: Altough in every Inferno creature's skills there is "Living", which explains "the creature can be healed and resurrected", on the contrary all the healing spells do damage to all Inferno creatures, as if they are undead.

Inferno creatures can be healed with EARTH magic.

However I did not test what happens if you choose different faction hero and then use healing spells on Inferno.

It probably is there somehere but i didnt bothered to look: there are random disconnects in game. Some times both players get info that they won.
