Ok I have been reading all these great ideas from the fan community. My question is why did Ubihole not imagine any of them on their own or at least ask the community in the design phase so they could have let us imagine these ideas for them.

Ok for all you software desginers out there. Learn from all these companies mistakes. They are all going broke becuase they lack innovation. HERE is some innovation for you. Make a software company that lets your fan base imagin a great game for you then you just go out there and program it. I know that is the simplified version but it is insanely logical. Why has no one done this? I wish I was a programmer, I'd be rich.

I think these are good ideas, I would definitely implement them, but I highly doubt they will be implemented.

I'm afraid you are right. And that's why they will lose more customers and ultimately help to destroy a dying genre. But I guess Ubi can still keep on making Assasisns creed games forever.

Not adding something to a game that has already been released is destroying a genre? None of the previous heroes had it, did they destroy the genre? I think you're jumping a bit too far here.

There are only so many times we can play the same thing before we get bored. Yes in business if you are not innovating and growing you are dying. Heroes is not even as big of a release for Ubi as their latest dancing game. What does that tell you about the popularity?

I would say the game's failure has less to do with the franchise's popularity and more to do with the myriad bugs that exist within this latest installment.

The game is not a failure...maybe commercially I'm not sure, but from a customer point of view, I'm enjoying it....

I like things that are not popular, like Heroes and adventure games....although many believe Heroes to be very popular where they are from...

The bugs aren't a permanent part of the game. They will iron out most of them in time. If took them about a year from when beta testing was released to get all of heroes 5 ironed out. So they should have H6 smooth by next summer.

I agree doubledeck. I enjoy games that are not popular too. Actually most of the games that get these great ratings and so much press I actually think suck. However in the world of business, companies will not make games that do not make money. So by a company screwing up a game it cause that game to lose popularity and therefore the potential of another great game in the series or genre to appear.

I do not see our beloved turn based strategy genre ever making a comeback. In fact with how the software companies have messed up the whole PC game industry I am seeing the trend to consoles and PC is becoming strictly a tool for business.

The companies have opted for greedy short term money making schems that ultimately have disenfranchised the customers to a point where people just do not buy PC games much anymore.

@Flyingpenut -> yeah and the truth is that you could make kick ass games on PC technology now as consoles are 2007 technology. When Playstation 4 comes out, then it can compare to latest PC technology, but then will be static until Playstation 5.
