Depends on how powerful the cleric. The higher, the less drawbacks..but usually means a bit of a rest..and a constitution loss regardless (which is why you can't just be raised again and again..when your constitution would hit 0..impossible to be raised). Always a chance of failure (a roll based on constitution..so the higher the better). Failure means only a more powerful cleric can even attempt. Otherwise..no drawbacks.

Shield of Red Dragon Scale - +2 to ac, as long as it is worn on one of the arms, the user is immune to any fire, magical or otherwise..even area of effect spells...even if the fire comes from some direction that the shield would not block it.

Your character will have to talk to them about it  . Also, remember having the shield is not enough, if you don't have it equipped .. you don't get the magic. An extra 3 ac never hurt either  .

Yep, though limited in what they can and can not do by the fact that they have limited resources right now..and probably pretty busy.

Description: Alexander was born in Marik, but his parents moved to the neighbouring kingdom because of his father's job. Alexander was sad and he wanted to go back home, but no one listened to him and at the age of 16 he left his new home.
