Nothing to do with us being a small insect compared to a country, nothing at all...
I mean, what can five-seven heroes do to an army that wiped out a bleedin' kingdom?!?!

Actually it was easier for them to attack a kingdom..at least the way they did it.
The moss zombies are the key. Attack the outskirts/farms first with just a few. Most are not warriors, and each becomes a moss zombie. The contagion spreads..and by the time it hits a place that can put up a defense, the numbers are huge. Plus, infected don't always turn immediately, further spreading it as they flee to cities. Once weakened and low on morale (having to kill family, friends, etc) send in the magma creatures and such...it was over before it began.
Now the seven are prepared for what is out there..not that it will be easy..but the Kingdom is a lot easier to cause to fall then a couple of people.

*nods* Though most are 0 level (not that it matters, just trivia info for those who do not know D&D that well..a simple farmer is 0 level..unless he is a retired simple farmer )
Funniest thing I've ever did to a poor group of adventures that thought they would go rogue is introduce them to "Farmer Hade" Farmer Hade is a retired war veteran who was about 20th level (the average level of the group was like 6). It was funny..a old man farmer with a quarterstaff thrashing the entire well armed/well armored group.
Technically not even a real quarterstaff..he had a broom handle. Never underestimate anybody in one of my games. I've been known to disguise dragons as goblins, gods as little old ladies/men/bar patrons and a king as a beggar.

It is common yes . I just have less problems doing so to teach the 'I had a barfight and beat up everybody' people who intro a character like that. Which seems to be the most common intro..ever. Either a bar fight, gang of thieves, or some such. To show how 'bad' the character is. I prefer more original introductions. When it gets too much, I intro a 'lessen' about just fighting for fighting's sake.
Edit ; Ok is the group splitting up or going as one? If going as one, which item first. If splitting up..who is going where?

I was thinking splitting up H4 style, then I realised that even together were not that effective. Splitting up is suicide, though I wouldn't mind .

If we split up, we probably shouldn't split up entirely--maybe have 2-3 people in a group to watch each others' backs. But Sending and Dream are both 5th level, so we don't have to be completely out of communication if we aren't all together.

Note: The Dragon's Tooth Mountain is a rather large place (it houses a lot of dragons..and dragons like a lot of space)..saying it is "In the Dragon Tooth Mountains) might as well be saying "That grain of sand is somewhere in the beaches of California" Just a warning. Without being able to narrow it down .. it is going to be a long hard search. Even if not a single dragon bothers anybody.

Note : This may change some previous mentions, as my vision for the world has changed a little. Ignore previous mentions of how how many continents, etc.
As I said in another thread..I can not draw..I can not even do stick figures correct. So making a map is beyond my ability. The mountains run along the middle of the biggest continent, of which your kingdom took up more then half. There are two much smaller kingdoms, to the east of your kingdom..one is actually pretty small, but has been very influential of late. There is a fourth area on this continent called 'the wastes', where nothing grows. It is barren and dark..but there is no history as to why that anybody is aware of. No big battles or mage wars or whatever, just nothing has ever been successfully grown on its soil.
The kingdom with the Acorn is on an island, roughly twice the size of the island you are currently on. It is the only kingdom on the island. It is north of the island you are on which is southwest of the kingdom the group is from.
Another second continent is split up in a very odd way. A frozen north, and a hot/humid desert in the south..with nothing in between (ie it goes straight from desert to ice, and vice versa). It is rumored a demilich that loves ice is behind this but that is unconfirmed. This is to the west of the largest continent, and slightly south.
There was another continent, about half the second's size, but it vanished during a war. Thought to be destroyed by magic. It is rumored to have been roughly where the middle of a certain sea is.
Finally there is a chain of small islands in the south, thousands of them. All shapes and sizes, but none larger then say California. Most about the size of Rhode Island.

I guess that I'll go after the branch. Probably going to either drag Tanis with me or be stalked by her... so I'll just have Raistlin ask her if she wants to follow him. Yeah...
As much as they dislike each other, Raistlin doesn't want anyone from the group to go off and get themselves killed.

Ivor - the branch or the acorn would be the ones with the most inns along the way. The others are wayyyy out of the way places..one of which is under a whole lot of water.

Ok, this week will probably have zero updates from me (sorry). However, if you all want to get to the locations you are going by all means. As long as you don't find hordes of treasure, or magical items..feel free to have a few scuffles along the way. I am in finals week (for the quarter) this week..I will be lucky to make it out with what little sanity I have left.
