OK, I'm not at all into H6, but I think this thread deserves an answer so some comments. Some may be stupid if one really knows H6, but here is what comments I have:

I HAVEN
1. Core:
a) Arblaster
Hmmm I don't think the ability so creative or worthy, I have to say. Name is fine, I think.
b) Centurion
nice at it is, I think
c) Sibyl
I don't know what the ability "Light of Life" is supposed to do, honestly^^ Does it increase the sybils max health or that of neighbouring creatures? and how exactly?
2. Elite:
a) Starlit Glory
name is ok, morning star is nice. purification - another dispeller?!
b) Battle Griffin
creative name but  classic is fine sometimes.
Abilities are fine, though rather strong
c) Sun Cavalier
not outstanding, but ok
3. Champion:
a) Malakhim
Where comes the name from? The only time i've seen the wor dis in Civ4 mod "Fall from Heaven" (2 I think) where it is a race of desert priests...what does blade of renewal do? What do you mena by "renews abilities"? for the other blade, I think it should better be determined which creatures where killed, as well.
So far for now. maybe someone else can do the comments for other factions, as I'm, as mentioned, not at all proficient in H6 (never played it)

I HAVEN
1. Core
a) Arblaster
I know that its ability isn't creative, but we need strong alternative to Piercing Bolt.
b) Centurion
Thx
c) Sibyl
She gives 5% bonus to HP of nearbly allies.
2. Elite
a) Starlit Glory
Yep, another dispeller. I was looking for some nice alternative for slightly mismatched abilities of Blazing Glory.
b) Battle Griffin
Good abilities isn't bad
c) Sun Cavalier
Gamers see better alternatives, but he is quit good
3. Champion
a) Malakhim
Name comes from here. What Blade of Renewal do? For example you have to wait three turns between uses of Cyclops special attack or you can only heal units two times using Vestal ability. Malakhim Blade will renew their gauge. You have right with Blade of Justice. It's should work like Divine Justice used by Seraph in H5. Now it's to similar to Sword of Revenge.

To be honest i never liked alternative upgrades. It is nearly impossible to balance out, especially if you give them too much freedom, like in H5.

I would suggest a similar but more moderate approach.

Take H5 Tote for example.

A player selects a kit (gold or red haven for example, demonic or regular orcs), and that kit is active for the faction in a given map.

Balancing 2 kits against each other is always much easier than balancing every single unit itself. It has been confirmed (by patch time) that developer doesn't have the power (be it manpower or something else) to deal with the long standing problems, and alternative upgrades would cause one.
On a positive note, new kit can almost feel like new faction, but is much cheaper to produce.

So all these recommendations could work as an alternative kit so everyone's list is still valid even for me
