Amazing. Man, those Giant Rocs sure look intimidating.
I'm already loving Oakenshield. It's a pity they didn't case Rhys-Davies for his role, but eh, minor detail.

Alright, you piqued my curiosity. I looked and it would seem you were telling the truth.
However it wasnt without caution. Note the following..
1) I first quoted your reply, so that i could copy the url of the trailer in question.
2) I the opened facebook and pasted the url in my status update box. Facebook automatically changed the url to a proper link with a thumbnail, decription, etc, without me having to post it.
3) after verifying it was indeed legit, i made some popcorn and watched

I enjoyed the directors commentary as well. I see his point in not giving them all über-long beards... would be hard to tell them apart.

Why oh why has Thorin got beautiful black hair, I always imagined him to have silver braided hair and atleast look like he's 250, and not 30.

I was kind of surprised when he chose to make Thorin handsome and even attractive looking. I mean... he's dwarf. But I'll roll with it.
I guess being the main hero, along with Bilbo, makes him bound by law to be at least moderately sexy. I think he's kind of badass tbh. It's not a perfect fit with Tolkien lore, although I never believed that a director should 100% subject himself to the book. If you want to read The Hobbit, then read The Hobbit.
