I've just mailed the supplier from whom I pre-ordered the Deluxe boxed edition. I'll see what they have to say about the matter (though I don't expect too much...).

Right, the Deluxe unlockable content is 4 heroes, 2 weapons, and a map.

The pre-order content is 1 hero and 1 weapon (Akasha and Edge of Chaos).

These are what most people seem to be missing, the pre-order items.

BTW, G-gate gave me one code for the 4 heroes and one code for the 2 weapons. So, mine were not the same code.

I'm gonna load my game and see if I can find the Map.

Yes, I also found the Heart of Nightmares map under Custom Game -Scenario.

So, I just need the 2 pre-order items still.

Just to correct, Akasha and Edge of chaos was only pre-order IF you pre-ordered from the Ubishop. Heard it was also available from Steam, but otherwise there should be NO pre-order content.

In that case, I won't get them, since I didn't order it directly from the Ubishop.

I have to say that all those different deals and gimmicks from various sources to get the game are sometimes confusing as hell. Had the same with the Total War games.

Very true. I remember, when Mass Effect 2 came out, which had around 10 different pre-order items from different stores. I can't tell you how much of a pain it was to get them all. If I was in charge, then there would only be a collector's edition/Digital collector's edition and a standard edition.

On a different note I have received an answer from the ones I, who I told about earlier. Today I received the reply from the , here is what they had to say:

When you buy from an online seller in the EU, you have two years to request repairs or replacements free of charge if the items turn out to be faulty or NOT AS ADVERTISED - in the same way as if you had bought them in a shop.
If the product cannot be repaired or replaced within a reasonable time or without inconvenience, you may request a refund or price reduction.
This means that if an item you bought in the EU does not look or work as advertised, the seller must repair or replace it free of charge, or give you a refund.
The two-year guarantee applies from the date of purchase or delivery.

Basically we have the right to claim the missing content or demand refund/reduction in price by right due to Ubisofts own advertising. Shortly after one of my previous messages I received a reply from technical support, which told me, that they would investigate my case further. I haven't heard from them since then. But if I haven't heard from them within a week or 2, then I will use my right and require that they either send the codes immediately or provide a refund. I will start a new topic later with this exact statement, which should allow any, who didn't receive their pre-order items or their collectors edition/deluxe edition content to claim it from Ubisoft.

Viva la revolution

Where are you getting your information that these 2 Items were only for Ubishop buys?

It is hard to find advertisements from stores for the Pre-Order bonuses, as they have all removed them after the release. Still, I will provide some other references.

"Additionally, each pre-order will receive an additional in-game Hero and Artifact with special abilities to use in the final game."
-IGN Pre-Order Details

"Also available for Pre-Purchase customers: The Edge of Chaos and Akasha. The Edge of Chaos is a sword created by Arch-Demon Nebiros that ensures its bearer pure luckiness. Akasha is commander of the sacred isle, Akasha is a fanatic follower of Dragon Godess Shalassa."
-PC Gamersworld Pre-Order details

"Pre-orders for both versions will let players gain access to the game's upcoming beta test (no word yet on when that will start) along with an exclusive hero and exclusive in-game item."
-Big Download Pre-order Announcement

"The Might & Magic Heroes VI Deluxe Digital Edition includes:

MIGHT & MAGIC HEROES VI VIDEO GAME

164-PAGE HARDBACK BOOK FEATURING GAME CONCEPT ART (PDF)

GAME SOUNDTRACK FEATURING TRACKS COMPOSED BY ROB KING AND PAUL ROMERO

A2 FORMAT DOUBLE SIDED POSTER (PDF)

ONE MONTH SUBSCRIPTION ON HEROES KINGDOM

EXTRA GAME CONTENT
• Skirmish FPP Map
• Aguirre / Sveltana / Yume / Kraal
• Staff of Cleansing / Staff of Asha’s Eightfold
>> http://shop.ubi.com/store/ubiemea/en_IE/pd/productID.226666100/sac.true

Preorder the game and get :

AN ACCESS TO THE BETA

2 EXCLUSIVE ULCS
• Akasha
• Edge of Chaos"
-Posted on Celestial Heavens, a major Heroes Fansite, as direct information from UbiSoft

"Deluxe:
• 1 Bonus Single Player Skirmish Map.
• 4 Dynasty Heroes : Aguirre, Sveltana, Yume and Kraal.
• 2 Dynasty Weapon : Staff of Cleansing and Staff of Asha’s Eightfold.
Pre-order:
• Edge of Chaos: The Edge of Chaos is a sword created by Arch-Demon Nebiros that ensures its bearer pure luckiness.
• Akasha: Commander of the sacred isle, Akasha is a fanatic follower of Dragon Godess Shalassa."
-From Ubisoft's official forum dedicated to Heroes VI

I don't think they are had different offers for pre-orders. The only variance I see is that some places list the names "Akasha" and "Edge of Chaos", while others simply say "additional in-game hero and artifact."

In a US court (where I am), if they tried to slip through the cracks of obscurity they could be found guilty of intentionally being confusing or misleading.

In truth, it doesn't make sense that they would be. They are not saving money by withholding codes to unlock an item. It seems more likely that they are buffoons than bullies.

Although it doesen't say exclusive I thought it was meant that way. And as for the one extra hero and artifact, then some of the games have a mark in their corner listing this. But it turns out those items are actually Kraal and Staff of Cleansing, so wouldn't count on it unless it said Akasha and Edge of Chaos. I haven't researched this all that well since I thought it was Ubishop exclusive, but I could of course be wrong. As long as you can find proof, then I think you have a valid case. Although since you are a resident in the US my previous reply from the EU can't help you, which means you would have to contact your own authority to confirm your situation.

Yeah, I could go to the BBB except, I bought from G-gate, which is in Sweden.

This international part is why I think I need to find Irina or someone higher up who might actually care. Someone who could simply say, "Oh look. Here we have a loyal fan who can prove he pre-ordered and simply need 2 codes, which will cost us nothing, to make him happy again. Let's just get the poor man his codes."

It seems Ubi is shut up tight. All you can do is call their support line which doubles as a customer service line. These people don't have answers, so the best they can do is pass it up higher as a complaint. The complaint can then be safely ignored, as you have no way of contacting those who handle the complaints.

The thing is, I have never had a problem with anything from Gamersgate before. Then I had problems with the DLC from Clash of Heroes (got it resolved) and now this. G-gate when mixed with
Ubi gives problems. This leads me to beleive that Ubi is the source problem, but I cannot get past the "support level guards" to get any answers.

"We'll take your request to one the king's officials and put it on his desk. Now, go away!"

Sorry pal, but I don't think even Irina could save you on this one. None of the people responsible for Heroes 6 have any affiliation with the customer support, furthermore there seems to be a lot of bypassing regulations just to tell the public anything. Honestly I don't think Ubisoft care for one loyal fan despite how many Heroes/Ubisoft games you buy, personally I am putting Ubisoft on ice at least until the next heroes. No more Assasin's Creed, no more Rayman(Sadly) in short no more Ubisoft products for me.

The customer support is all out awful and there seems to be nothing we can do about it, which is why I bothered contacting the EU commision, which should help any EU citizen who didn't receive their content. But all in all it was too much work for a case, which should have been so simple. That is my reason to boycott Ubisoft for now, since I didn't think they had that many great game genres to begin with(Besides Rayman and Heroes).

Ubisofts customer support is just like people, who have been living in a cave for their whole lives. You can try to show them the light, even force it on them if you must. But true acceptance will only happen if they themselves reach out for the light and embrace it.

I can finally say my struggle with Ubisoft has ended. Today I received a mail with the codes for downloading the "Akasha" and "Edge of Chaos" and they are now lying in my dynasty vault. Can finally say, that it is over.

Will however keep my promise and create a post with how to tackle ubisoft the way I did. Might not be that big of a help, but will also include the statement I recieved from EU earlier this week.

Thank god it is finally over, so unless anyone else is in the same position, then I suggest the mods close this.

As you know, I am in a similar position, but it seems I will have to be a special exception if Gamersgate cannot get my codes. I will have to fall on the graces of someone higher in Ubisoft. The whole international thing is kind of a hard situation.

Just because they are located in Sweden, I did not use a Swedish url or anything. I wonder what laws there are that cover internet transactions. The most I can do with them is threaten to take my business to a US company so I am more protected. Maybe that will motivate them.

Anyway, I will be interested to read your other thread.

Let me try to get this straight, you ordered your copy through a Swedish site, and they say that they can't get your codes from UbiSoft?

I'd be pretty sure according to EU law that the site would have to refund you some of your money if they can't deliver the full good that they have sold you, and then it would be a matter between the company and UbiSoft who had to carry that expence. Of course the problem is getting through with that, have you tried to check the fine print on the site about what their legal obligations are, like Frederik did? I'm pretty sure their obliged to list that also, if nothing else try to start a new order on something (without going through with it), their customer rights should come up before you confirm the order.

I can find it somewhere, I'm sure. I'm just trying to keep in mind the final goal: getting my codes.

I'm sure if I pushed it, I could get a refund of sorts. But, I didn't pre-order Deluxe in order to get a refund. I pre-ordered Deluxe in order to get the special items and heroes. If I push too hard while there is still a chance, I will myself ruin that chance.

Even if you cannot relate, I hope you can understand that as a semi-completist, every time I would have used the item/hero and cannot, it will bother me inside that I never could. Unfortunately, since the codes I am missing are from pre-order, I cannot just get a refund and buy from a different store. I will just be out the item/hero forever. The first special I will have missed (that was available in US) since Heroes I was released.

I know that in the end, it is a silly thing to be upset about. So, if necessary, I will just let it go with sadness.

Thank you, flyingpenut, for being so unhelpful and also promoting piracy on a public forum.  That's a good way to get yourself removed.

The lawsuit will work, as it did for Frederik.  In all likelihood, they'll find a way to get you your codes rather than refund your money.  No company wants to have to give a refund if there's a way they can keep your money and still make you happy.  If they can't get your your codes, then they'll give you some form of compensation.

That's not really the way lawsuits are supposed to work, but unfortunately it's probably the most effective way to get what you want.  Know your rights, and enforce them.

As I stated previously I have created a post called "Getting your pre-order codes from Ubisoft's grasp". This may not help you as much as if you were a european, but it should still provide some infor regarding how to tackle the customer service. And if you have areceit or any evidence supporting your claim I think you are assured.
