Heroes3HD + Cinematics

Figured I'd make this thread instead of spamming in the heroes3HD thread. I'm trying to configure Heroes3HD to either play with my CD or play without the cd and still play the campaign cinematics without error. The "no CD" option doesn't save whenever I click the ok button.

TwistRat responded saying there's a way to move the CD files onto my harddrive which will fix the whole cinematic error issue I'm having.

Quote:
Just copy files with all cinematics with introduction speeches to /data folder and problem is gone! (just like in version from GoG). you don't need CD at all.

I have yet to figure out how to do so. I see the Heroes3.snd and .vid files on my cd but I tried many combinations when trying to copy them onto my harddrive. Nothing works 100%. Can anyone help me?

I have the Heroes3 Complete CD.

If I remember correctly (not sure at all), eons ago when I tried to make the original Heroes 3 Complete work without the CD, I had to make a folder in the H3 directory named Heroes3, and in that folder another Data folder, and put the *.lod and *.vid over there. If that doesn't do it then I can't help you..

For me creating an ISO image worked.
Frankly, many of my games works with ISOs since my DVD-rom started to dieing...

It's worth a try IMO...

How would that work with Heroes3HD though?
