Era 1.91 problems that weren't in Era 1.8.

Anyone know how I would fix these problems.  I'm trying Era 1.91 but there are a few things I liked about 1.8 that don't seem to work in 1.91 anymore.  I like to have Death Chamber script 70 checked but for some reason in 1.91 I get the message like I've defeated the chamber and says I received the gold and ghosts but it happens at beginning of almost every turn and when I attacked these master gremlins defending a ore mine at the start of game it brought me to fighting Death Knight and liches instead of the master gremlins.

If I disable the Death Chamber script I don't have the problems but is there a fix for that script in Era 1.91?


Also in Era 1.8 there was a automatic end turn save to day of week(end) .* and when I press S it would save to day of week.* and pressing F5 would Quicksave.  In 1.91 only the Quicksave works.  I really like those save features, is there any way to get them back?

A couple other things I wouldn't mind finding a fix for if anyone knows them.  If using the HD patch and using any resolution higher than the 800 * 600 my Shift + clicking on town picture on the right side of screen doesn't work anymore where it would bring it to the top of the list.  The Shift + Hero still works though and I have the script checked.

When I played WoG 3.58f before a long time ago I remember could click on the castle graphic on the bottom left to hire all creatures and then right-click or shift click can't remember but it would bring up list where I could put checkmarks next to which creatures and upgraded creatures I would like to auto hire.  Well the hiring all creatures works still but I can't seem to get the other part to work.

ERA did not change the scripts in DATA/s. I have ERA 1.91 and no problem with death chamber. Can you upload a save and your settings.dat file (HoMM root folder)?

Era 1.91 is not officially released for English community yet. Thank you for errors reporting anyway. I'm working on 1.92 to fix the specified problems.

The Era.dll in russian pack contains by some impossible accident not latest code without saving PO (cells on the map) information. This leads to Death Chamber and many other errors. Salamandre has updated dll, so he cannot reproduce the bug now.

Apart from saving PO the fix also reduces CPU load on non-standard WoG dialogs: check-boxed/radio.
The second bug is saving huge amount of PO information instead of necessary for current map size. 4 MB instead of 700 KB. This leads to slow savegame loading.

Yes. The script part should be rewritten according to new standards.

This is fully HD-WoG compatibility problem.

It seems that you used wog updated scripts pack. Unfortunately, 3.58f does not have this feature yet.

Everything was default from downloading the new WoG 3.58f + 1.91 from the other thread.  Just installed directly on top of clean Heroes 3 complete and started H3 era.exe.  I had to unpak the H3Wog.pak to my data directory though for it to start up.

Ran default WoG settings except for checking death chamber to test it and picked first map Arrogant.  The first end turn I usually get the death chamber message and almost every turn after.

I tried this fix.  Replaced my era.dll. Started new map with default settings and death chamber and still received same error.

I didn't know it was still being updated.  Glad some people are still working on getting a final stable version out.

That did it.  I renamed script98.erm and the death chamber worked fine with no messages on end turn.

<Edit> I compared the 1.8 era and 1.91 era script98.erm scripts and they both identical.  Seems it has to be the changes in Angel.dll that causing it not to work.

The other way in current version of script98.erm is not to press keys in that object dialogs.

Not sure what this means?  

Also I added an <Edit> above.  Is there a new script98.erm for 1.92.  Seems this one conflicts with the new Angel.dll in 1.91 era.  

I noticed Phoenix mod uses similar save system but no script98.

Ok I didn't know what script this code was for before.  I see it seems to be for script98.  But FU77003 is for quicksave in that script so I'm not sure what to do with this.  I haven't really learned this scripting.

No dice.. Received alot of invalid paramater errors pressing S or F5 and got the Death chamber messages and end of turn.

Better..  The quicksave and S works nicely but still getting the death chamber message at end turn and don't know if you were working on this but autosave still saves to autosave instead of weekdayend.*

Well I just found a error with the saving in the new script98.

On the very first turn of a new game it works when you press S it saves to 1_Color.GM1 but every turn after that when you press S it saves to (dayofweek)_end.GM1 then gets overwritten when the turn ends cause it also saves to same file.

So the S only works once on first turn of game.

I did more testing with Quicksave.. it seems it's only working on the first day of a new game also.  I tried multiple maps and it only saves on the first day.  If I hit end turn and press F5 it will say "Quicksaved!" but doesn't actually save.

End of turn save seems to be working fine.
