Conflux could result in having online ranking system. like battle.net, if they care to implement it. So i would not say the money  for it is wasted.

It rather depends on what they decide to do with it because truth be told they came very close to getting it right. If they make some much needed tweaks this could end up fairly good.

Yeah the Conflux idea had potential. But I think the really interesting aspect is the possibility to communicate in-game with fellow players for hints and suggestions.

Say... so no one agrees that this could have been a fine 2D game?

I personally don't like 2D in principle; just not really my style. I mean, some games are all right in 2D, but I liked how H5 looked much more than H3.

There are good looking 2D games outthere. but I think H5 crosed the lines and now it is only 3D for heroes.

I think the insiders should push the Dueling aspect of the game. It's really fun and I think it has great potential. It would be really nice if there was a laddering system and that you could customize your armies a bit more.

   What the fixed bug is about?

It appeared with the release of 1.2 patch that achievement could be copied from one user to another by using the Compare Profile feature. That means that a further advanced player could regress by comparing his achievement with those of a less advanced player. This only affects achievement and no other part of player profile.

1.2.1 patch fixes this bug and now prevents achievements to be copied.



    When the patch will be live?

Patch will be released on January 5th for all territories.



   Did it affect all the players?

All players using the Compare Profile feature upon 1.2 release could get affected. But if you did not use it, then your achievements are safe. Of course, this issue is not happening anymore with 1.2.1 patch.



    How can I check out if it has affected my account?

Go to the Achievements menu and check if previously unlocked achievement are now locked again. It worked the other way too, if you have compared with a further advanced player.



   After the patch release, will I get back all my lost achievements?

All achievements can be retrieved again but not automatically. Some of them will come back very easily, like XP and Dynasty Level related ones since it will update once you gain level in each area. Unfortunately, other achievements rely on user progress and require to play a bit to get them back. None achievement are lost forever.



   Can I get rewards for the achievements twice?

No, achievements unlocked after being lost through Profile Compare will not award the Dynasty Seals again.

I played Heroes 6 for the first time in 3 months (I think it has been out that long).  It was nice to see luck working and the Barbarian campaign working.  

I don't understand why the "siege master" skill causes damage outside of sieges (or why I continue to take the skill in the first place).  I'm assuming it's a bug.  Not a huge one due to the minimal damage but still odd.

Not sure I'm getting this, the siege master skill affects your catapult, so how can your catapult be on the battlefield outside of siege battles?

Start of every turn, the enemy forces take 20 or so damage, regardless of where we are fighting.  Maybe it's an attempt to make a worthless skill line somewhat less worthless?

Clearly a skill they didn't fully think out beforehand and then had to make up a solution on the fly.

What I don't get is why after all these years, we still have never been given the ability to control our towers while defending. If we choose this skill (regardless of what it's been called in previous games), we should be able to control where the towers and/or the catapult shoots at.

Agreed.  For developers so concerned with eliminating randomness, it's strange that we have no control over catapults or towers.

Yeah, the idea that you had to pick a skill in order to get control of the Catapult (and in Heroes 3 also Ballista and Arrow Towers) always seemed completely illogical. Most annoying was when in H3 Ballista actually worked against you, like if you had blinded the last enemy unit, and Ballista just mindlessly targeted it ... duh. Which was why I never bothered with a Ballista in H3 - but fully agree, it makes even less sense in terms of H6 general mechanics

I'm getting less and less afraid of the state of Heroes VI
Not that there would be less bugs, it is the oposite. More and more do I hear from people that the 1,2,1 patch causes the game to fall very often.
But since even more often I hear about Ubisofts servic not beeing accesable to so many. They people are going to get pis*** by ubisofts DRM that they will not be interested in those titels anymore.

Anyway this could very well be the last Ubisoft Heroes.
They don't even try anymore.

It's already been like 2 months I didn't touch Heroes 6 for more than 5 hours - tried 1.2 but seing the patch log I considered this joke enough to pass.

Now for 7.5 € I got Assassin creed 2 and that's a really good game.

I wanted to help the company by buying H6 deluxe retail edition - 80 € for a rigged product. Now I won't be a sucker.
