LOL, I'm doing that actually, that's a good advidce.

I think I understand the DoubleDeck point, the games will never (or rarely) be so good as we expect.

I can give an example, I was playing Skyrim at the begining of Dec/2011. The game is so amazing and well-done, but I got so disappointed at mid/high levels, the game get so incredibly easy and you get so overpowered, fights with dragons = zero challenge, etc.. Then I stopped playing Skyrim and I ended up deleting my char.
Then I tried H6 and got addicted until mid/end jan/2012. And now,  I'm going back to a modded Skyrim. I'm sure I'll be back to H6 too... soon.

Anyway I'm in the optimist line hehehe
But yea, I admit, we can't compare Ubisoft and Bethesda, would be like trying to compare inferno and necropolis?
As a fan, I would like to be playing HOMM 47 with 80 years old. But please! Not Ubisoft... haha  Unless they learn something.

I know the torches and pitchforks will probably come out here..but what little I play anymore is dedicated to Disciples III.  I love that the creatures upgrade automatically when the experience is gained and the building is built.  Little tough playing the equivilent of inferno with it, but still pretty decent.

I don't like the free-choice skill system. Not fond of that idea. Plus on contrary of the promises we were told, the system ends with every hero being all the same (pressed attack, heal/drain life, enlightment for campaign...).

As for the factions, as everybody say, Inferno are too "weak" on the overall, and Necro areway too strong (not even funny to play on campaign imo). Yet Stronghold is a real fun and Sanctuary is a very good surprise to me.

Nevertheless, my global opinion is that I enjoy the game.

I like the free-choice skill system.
I never have the same hero at campaign end. I had might-blood stronghold hero without any healing spells. It was damn fun to play, you should try it.
I never used enlightment in campaign, it tooks away a skill point. It's useless because you have time to level up.
Maybe I will end up with the same hero in multiplayer (I don't think so), but I never choose the same skills in campaign.

converting towns is bad idea IMO.

At least make it so that the town is converted to the visiting hero.

I don't have any problem with the conversion.
For single player maps (especially campaigns), it allows us to play against another faction than ours, BUT with only our faction's creatures.
I mean, in H3 for instance, if you get other factions' towns, you have to deal with the unit diversity. Now, you can still do that, you have the possibility, but you also can convert so to focus only on one faction's creatures type.
I think it is a good idea. May be improved I guess, but I agree with that.

Since I cannot make a new thread here it goes, maybe someone sees it...

Why traps laid by single goblin stacks do not stop enemy troops? (stronghold 1'st mission).

Why is AI hero able to act before the troop? (Lets say the troop is poisoned and is going to die, the computer quickly jumps in battle and casts a spell or 2 before the creatures turn)? If it is something like a timer (1-2-20 miliseconds) was anybody able to exploit this?

That is really strange. I doubt that I am the only one seeing the computer casting spells before its unit takes an action (or dies).

But anyway regarding my RIP Heroes... no one even bothered in 5 days to post something at least in the lines of Gtfo you're imagining things.

Some structures (okey one) causes the a firestorm at te begining of the battle. There have been reported glitches where there were two effects of this structure at the same time. So if the heroes action was a firestorm this is not his action but the action of a building.

Point two
You have a problem with the fact that this community has manners not to post if they do not know the answer?

Can you be more specific?
What faction did this happen with?
Has this happened more than once?

I doubt that there is a timer allowing the hero to cast before affects trigger on a creature about to have it's turn.....i.e. no matter how fast the hero goes (casts), the troops poison affect will still damage it...

Nothing like a little controversy to stir up things a little

Will try to capture it on a short clip. Did not bother so far because it happened to me quite a lot and i thought its a common bug like many others.

--- regarding the no one bothered part... its only sad that guys that do not post so much are most likely ignored on these forums. Like I've said before, I play other games and there everybody gets an answer in less than 5-10 minutes, no matter the kind of question asked.

yeh, there is if you look up there is unit power in fan manual, and it's tied to that, if something is more powerful than they are then seduce lasts only 1 turn and if the target is really powerful you it doesn't work at all i think.

This would be nice. But personaly, I think Ubi will go DLC style on some Dynasty weapons.
This weapon is in my eyes the Sar-XYZ staff that was present in vanila game till 1.2 patch as a random dynasty weapon but has been taken away from the game for an unknowen reason when the soul forge thing came out
I don't even know if someone managed to find it under 1.2 patch or if those who had it at the time it came out can use it.
Also Why are only UBIshopers promoted? I am there customer aswell and I payed them money! They know this. I have my product linked with my Ubiacount so why not send this offer to all the useres who have Heroes VI linked to there account. They have the contacts.
