Will ressurect/animate dead work on heroes?
Yeah... I didn't find any info on this.
If your hero is necro only with animate dead he/her should be ressurected.
and with ressurect only if he's non-necro.
Also how it gonna work?
Can archangel ressurect your hero?

Interesting thoughts malkia. I wish it's possible! But it would be cool if they have a resurect true like in Heroes II!

Actually if you have 2 heroes - one main M and one slave S, then imagine M dies can S cast magic to ressurect him?
ohh.. why NWC does not release demo!!!

Well yes - but If you could not succeed in battle,
Say they kill your Main hero, but you have one more hero (caster) that can ressurect you - and he's still alive..

You can't ressurect them in battle.
Like You have 1 hero and creatures.
They kill your hero but your creatures win the battle.
I guess then your hero will still be there(not rotten like the creatures) but he isn't able to fight. I guess there will be special places/things/artifacts/buildings that can ressurect heroes. I guess the Spell Ressurection will only work on creatures.(but that are only my thoughts) Atleast I guess the angel's ressurection is only for creatures. The spell could(maybe) also work for the heroes.

actually if your hero got killed, but your army wins - does they carry his body or not? is his life being preserved as points during battles? Maybe next battle he's again there but with life 1?
What if he had 560 life total, and after the batlle he's with 430 - next battle he starts again with 560 or 430?

My guess
I think when the next battle start(And you lost your hero in the fight you just had) then your hero will be there... But he will be death/not really death but just without hitpoints. And this will be till the hero is back(his hitpoints) or his team is killed and he is captured by the enemies. If you free him then he is still death and need to be healed or something.
In an interview there was something like *the hero can't be killed, heroes won't die* They can be defeated but they never die. They will stay in the game. I guess when you are able to defeat an enemy hero he will be in your prison????
I don't know for sure but it could be possible

A: It might be the prison which was mentioned in the July issue of the Computer Gaming Magazine. Defeated heroes won't just go back to the hiring pool anymore.
"(...) when a hero loses a battle, the body is left on the field to be carried back and resurrected. But if the victor has built a prison in one of his towns, a vanquished hero will be locked up until the player that owns him rescues him by conquering the town with the prison."

Okay so even dead - is hero occupiyng army slot?
Lets start with 7 heroes - 6 minor 1 main, lets all them die - do they still occupy the slots for army or not? where do they go?
I'd like to see how this is implemented by NWC - is it ellegant one or not?

Thanx Syllogysm,
So I guess there have to be way those dead heroes to be resurrected in non-combat screen - like in Disciples - probably in a town or using some potion or something like this.
Is there any shot showing hero with not full life after battle - e.g. Does hero restore his full life after battle, also does creatures (the last creature on stack) restore their full life after battle?

My guess
It seems this Q had been addressed somewhere.
(just forget and too lazy to search  )
So, maybe:
If you lose the battle and hero dies = go into
enemy prison.
If you flee/surrender and hero dies in battle = go into
enemy prison.
If you flee/surrender and hero not die = flee to your
main town ???
If you win the battle and hero dies = carry the body
to nearest town/main town for resurrect/treatment/portion/whatever you like to do (e.g. dissect the hero )
or maybe you just leave the dead body on field and wait for the caraven to carry it.
Another Q, if carrying dead body of hero(es), how to calculate the movement ?? any penalty for your troop movement ??

Good lord!...
Say I have very slow hero, but mighty mighty mighty as hell - so what I do - I kill him, move move move move a lot - and before the battle - I ressurect him. Really strange tactics - but can be used.
Should be stupid if when a hero is dead - his movement points go to max.
I hope they've made it this way: dead-body-of-a-hero is with the movement points of the slowest hero in the game - or even slower - this way it'll be not-confusing - and make sense - if you carry dead bodies around - you sure have not to hurry so much (indeed you have to hurry, but you'll pretend you are a-ok)... uh...

The answer is overall no.
The spell resurrection is gone so casting it inside or outside of combat is not possible.
It don't see why Angel resurrect would be impossible, but it will cost spellpoints from the Angels, and the Archangels would have to be powerful enough to resurect the Hero (HP wise). For a high-level hero you will likely need several Angels.
Animate (Un)dead creates undead, not Heroes. That spell will not work on heroes. It is also too low level to have any drastic effect.
As for caravans. Caravans can't pick up corpses on the way. They move between towns. If you want your hero to move between town then just place the living Hero on the caravan. The caravan should be able to transport both creatures and heroes.
