Btw, the portraits has nothing to do with the Jeddite/Nagsh fix anyway, their fix must be in the pac file but since my pac changes descriptions in the start menu for many heroes, you cant use it directly anyway, you would need a pac with all start up specialty icons the same except the ones that neeeds fixing, you can look at their position and number from my mod though if you never tried to change start menu displays before.

about the Heroes Speciality Description:
- nagash has the "Increases kingdom's income by 350 gold per day. "
icon and specialization , but the description (clicking on the icon)
still ready about the mobile veil of darkness
- Jeddite has the "Resurection" icon and ability, but its description is about builder
(HSB and rebalanced heroes ablities are disabled in wog options;
the map is random generated and both heroes were hired by tavern)
concerning the more than 8 skills display bug
ill collect the data and up it somewhere, later today.
p.s just did as u advised, saved the game with 9. skill, loaded and F12/refreshed the erm, butall skills above 8. arent displayed.

edited my post, try with disabled HSB and disabled rebalanced Heroes abilities + hire from tavern.
cant add picture atm, wrong pc. Will include that later + savegame.

ok I got it: their wog specialty isn't updated if you start a random map, but will be updated if custom map. Weird and nothing to do with wog options, cuz I tried both ways without closing the game.
And heroes renovated doesn't fix it. It does the other way, for random maps now ok, for custom is wrong. So the problem lies in hardcoded data imo and not easy to fix.

I almost always play random map, so what you're saying is when I fixed random map display, this time custom map display got ruined? how can such a thing happen?

I can understand if my fix only takes effect on random map menu, but how can it reverse the custom map display if it's already correct? Is that what happens?

With heroes renovated:
Random maps have different ID than custom maps. I think Slava just missed to add random maps ID. Bersy can fix this but it takes time and not sure he is still active.

Sal, Hero of Light's mods also have modified specialty displays, does his mod only fix random map menu also?

I think the error is only limited to Jeddite/Nagash, they are the only ones hardcoded. No matter the mod.

More then 8 skills display bug
so,took me abit longer than expected, but now here we go:

The zip contains:
- two savegames
- wogsettings.dat
- two screenshots
- era settings (loaded mods)

tell me if anything important is missing.
the bug occurs independetly from hd mod.
How to reproduce:
a) Start Game and load suplied "Thorgrim-before-ToK-skillgain.GM1"
b) Chose Thorgrim
c) click the Tree of Knowledge hes standing at, get new skill (Leadership)
d) check skill display. Thorgrim shows resistance at page 2 / 9. skill (ok)
e) switch to another Hero. E.g Labetha. Have Object interaction -> here: School of Magic
d) switch back to Thorgrim , check skills ->
Result:
NO 2. page now
NO 9. and above skill dispalyed.
/done
p.s its important that you have an object interaction with some other hero. If you just move another hero, thorgrim still displays the 9. skill. But if you have the interaction, the 9. skill isnt displayed anymore

Ok, this is not about the fix, but about the host you choose. I don't know what's wrong with people insisting on shared.com but every location I circled is giving a virus, trojan or advertising.
I think this is the last time I write on the matter, from now I will just ignore anyone with that link.

sorry sal, since i use noscript + adblock. i dont even see that stuff you mention. Id strongly recommend that you use such addons for your browser too, esp noscript is ESSENTIAL on the web. For 4shared only 1 of the sites js scripts is needed. But yea, tbh im with you in this case. Just took 4s because i had the acc data in reach.
Feel free to suggest a better/adfree hoster since i have no clue which one is good or bad.
edit: added an alternative dl link, think dropbox is safe and convenient.

1) I use adblock. Shared asks to disable ad block, either wise the counter is up to 1000 seconds. Did you ever DOWNLOAD from shared with adblock on? Is impossible.

hm thats weird, i log into 4s before i dl and get the 20s counter.
with noscript, the anti-adblock thing will not pupup, at elast it did not pop up here. Theer are usually tons of .js snow on that sites and only very few are really needed for the stuff to function, rest is ads,trackers and other annoystuff.
Anyway, just lets forget 4s. i agree that most sharehosters do suck and are overloaded with annoying crap. wtb good old ftp times on /temp 
the dropboxlink should just work fine.

I did all actions, and still have secondary skills scroll. tested also with HD mod, all ok. Saved also, when reload, still ok. No problem, I can scroll Thorgrim skills.

yes i do, but it occurs with the normal era exe too, so i strongly guessed its independent from hd mod
using 3.801f so far. will do a fresh complete / era installw/o hd mod later today and see if it occurs or not.

after getting the skill, save game, exit, start game,load, play around
the weird thing is: when i get the 9. skill , in this case leadership, the resistance skill (his native) shifts to teh 2. page.
when i do the actions described, the resistance skill is disaplayed as last skill on page 1. - no page 2. some other skill now went "invisible"

Frankly, I played many games with sec skills on, and this is the first time I hear this, and no one reported either. So my guess is that there is something wrong in your install. Also are you sure you click on right things? Because I loaded your save, didn't press F12, so all scripts are exactly as yours, but I can scroll. I can't reproduce your error, so can't help, sorry.
Try yourself. My SAVE after doing all actions. Can scroll.

what do you mean with "click on right things" ? wog, wog plugin and era settings are provided, and clicking the arrow down for scrolling, uhm yea. im very sure i click the right things 
the game dir is an clean install h3 complete + era 2.46 + xxl + wog revised and hd mod 3.801f.
as said above, gonna do a clean install again just w/o hd mod and see what happens then.
map was a random map generated, in case the ID thing matters-
