@master learn: good idea, next time i'll use that one.
@sal: no the problem is henchmen dialog gives you a free spell book, the book was empty because i had not bought one yet.anyway i just thought this might be about the new HD mod update (3.0.6) i recently downloaded and tested without it and bingo! Without HD mod everything is normal. So it is a small compatibility issue.
Edit: Not henchmen window, it's the first battle that gives spell book.

Hello there, I have some quirky problem after intalling ERA 2.4 - when I press h3era.exe it show me this : Assert violation in file D:\Soft\Programming\Delphi\Source\SRC\Units\_OLDER_\GameExt.pass on line 447. Eror at adress: $374F94D.
No idea about this. That line do not even exist in my computer.

I don't have such line in sources.
Please, set "Debug=1" in heroes3.ini, run the game and paste here eralog.txt contents.

is there a way to actually save the wog options? everytime i save them, they revert to standard settings, its really annoying

And where you save them? There is a different structure now, setting are loaded from the mod with highest priority which has a settings dat.
If your top mod changes at every game, then save them in mods/wog revised/mysettings.dat then reload this file each game.

tried to save them in every mod folder wog folder era folder, and still they wont stick... whenever i load them, they revert to standard.
this is even if i save a file, exit then reload the file, and its standard.... some gets saved, but the monster resources script wont be disabled no matter what i do

Example, my mods order:
Mithril mine (has settings.dat)
Fast AI (has settings.dat)
Morn battlefields
Wog revised (has settings.dat)
Yona
Wog
If I save options in wog revised dat, each time I open the game, it will be overwritten by mithril smelter dat, which has priority. Therefore I need to load wog revised dat before launching the game.
Save your options in a settings.dat and upload it, we will see if it keeps options or not.

Looks like you're using and old version of Era, monster resources script was like that but before 2.4, JimV rewrote the script, put it under Custom Scripts. Does your Wog Menu have Custom Scripts section without the Wog Revised mod? If not, Era version is outdated, update from first page.
And of course you should load your saved wog settings right before you start a game, just in case.

im using version 2.4 of era, and the script is under custom scripts. i, able to save the other settings, its just that one now that wont be turned off. read in the scripts folder that the monster resources script uses the same flag as fishing well, so as long as its off, it wont be on.but i dont use that script at all either so its a mystery to me why it wont disable...
deleted the script as a last restort last night.

If you're using 2.4 the fishing well has nothing to do with monster resources script. The read me is from previous versions and it was written before Custom Scripts section was added to the menu. I'm pretty sure about this because I was the one who brought it up in the first place. So if you're using 2.4, deleting fishing well must have no effect at all.

Is there a way to add your own campaign music on ERA II? Because I tried editing the campaign music txt file and added the mp3 file on the appropriate folder and it didn't appear on the list.

I did that. I added the mp3 file name in zcmpmus.txt and on the mp3 folder but it doesn't appear on the campaign editor. I did these in my HoLv32 folder (in Mods) and I also did it on WOG folder but nothing happened. It seems that the game takes this txt file from the original lod and so only by changing that would this be successful. Pity, I would like to include my own campaign music for my mod's update that I am planning.

You have to use existing file names anyway.

IIRC, it's because editors read a hardcoded number of lines from txt files, so your line is simply ignored
