Again, thanks for starting tips.
I'm way too lazy to play this for long, but I will some other time.
Anyways, this sounds SO much better than a RANDOM map of WOG.
(I like those too - 1vs1, biggest map, unlimited EXP gathering. )
I think, I will play it later, cause it still sounds COOL.

Thanks for your save,Salamandre!
Will be educational for me while I am advancing.
I can see the emisaries can be trained to 9th level and not to ACE level.
Very long time I havent played with emisaries in the army,so its a reminder for me how to do with them.

One question

Hello and first of all, thanks for great maps!

I'm new two the WoG and starting to play this map. I've played 2nd WoE and generally H3 for ages. Now I'm facing a new problem with this great map. This question isn't supposed to be under this thread, but I couldn't find any thread where I could ask just general questions about the gameplay. So please excuse me for asking this here.

Ok and my problem: how do I leave those ADs by the red tent in the beginning? I really have tried everything and nothing seems to work. This is general question, coz I don't know how to place guards. I know that by right-clicking blank ground I can leave troops there, but it doesn't seem to work on buildings.

So thank you for your answers and sorry about this stupid question in terribly wrong place.

Welcome to HC. To leave a creature, you must first split your stacks and place a single one in one slot. Then click on some adjacent square to your hero, the dialog will propose you to leave it. In this case, go back in boat, then click on the empty square in front of the red tent. Leave one devil. Of course, a better option would be to start the game with artefact bonus, and leave an artefact. The artefact must be in backpack, not equipped.

I think Hell Barons' lair is blocked for other factions, is that right?

BTW, this is getting better and better. I had no idea how to defeat Rashka, even with one-hit kill... but finally did it, after many trials and errors

Yes, is blocked if hell barons not available. Rashka: usually people defeat hard battles with force field. The principle remains same, but you must create a living force field around devils, be it friendly or not. AI is enough stupid to let 2 dragons attack for ever your surrounded stack, while huge stacks just waiting on the other side to be decimated by attack/return.

Hope VCMI does not make AI smarter, because then I will become unemployed.

I fear the same... when AI gets smart enough to ignore these tricks, many hardcore maps will become impossible, and instead of smart spell usage the game will become full-contact slaughter .

On the other hand, people didn't run out of ideas for this game for last  12 years, so maybe we shouldn't worry.

I find that AI plays very well when it comes to which spells to cast and exactly when. Often he waits and casts the right spell at right moment, then you are screwed. When I create a living shield with efreets around devils, he will cast meteor to destroy the wall, so he gets it well. If I choose to wait with demons, he will cast slow on them exactly on his last move, thus disable them. What he is not programmed is to back up with weak stacks and attack with strong ones.
Easy to defeat if you are creative with battlefield obstacles, walls etc.

Well have just realized that you need to up spell in order i the Cosmos Node !!! Sometime I up Fire Spell first and Fuuuuuu.... Should have give some warnings about this !!!

Umm, I could not imagine all the creative ideas each player will have, as starting upgrading with last browsing option and quit the node before upgrading the others. Normally you visit it, it shows AIR, upgrade, then  it shows earth, upgrade, and so on until Fire. Upgrading all except fire in other order works, but when you upgrade Fire (which is last option) then quit without upgrading the others, the Cosmos node will close until next month.

I can add a fix for this, but will look clumsy ("you can't do that, please browse back and upgrade in order"). Cosmos node is an automatic process, visit, click, leave.

Yes, Cosmos node has the option to browse and upgrade all magic schools (click on buttons left/right). When you visit it first, the dialog says "all my children, fire, water, air and earth will be present".

One question: where am I supposed to go after defeating Zydar? There are guards for Arlach, Moandor and Thant, but none of them is avaliable.

Second question: Is this fancy tower surrounded by sapphires supposed to  do anything?

After defeating Zydar, head south-west, at one day walk there is the dark blue tent. Then take the blue border and go pay a visit to Piquedram, after you will get armageddon and game speed will greatly increase -use scholar to spread-. The tower with saphires is part of Gabriel quest, the blue angel. Once talk to Gabriel, visit this tower, get the Aenon bow, then defeat the invincible Guardian using this bow, then visit the tower south to get Eden key, then back to Gabriel which will unlock the storage, 1200 mithril. However the first tower has 28000 archangels in, be sure you can defeat them. For the guardian, you need 50 sharps, divided in 5 slots, thats all.

Gate, not tent . Quest locations show it's still covered by shroud, but I can't seem to get there.

I have no idea about any Gabriel quest as yet, by the way.

Wow!!!
This masterpiece continues to impress me.
I have a funny/stupid question.
I was lazy to play it normally (for HOURS), so I just CHEATED into endless walk, saruman, etc...
Also, made a "small" army of 100 AAs...
Was very happy, until... I met a char with 2500x2 AAs, or something!!!
So, now the question:
Is it possible to play this map in ONE turn, or are there TIME based events???
The ARMY problem is solvable by wasting 10 (20? 30?) minutes on galadriel'ing.
It gives 30 AAs per cheat, so I can easily make an army of 3000 too, though I'll fall asleep by that time.
But is it forth it???
(Yeah, you'd rather want me to PLAY it the normal way, but I probably won't, if it requires half a day to complete...)
Anyways, I really admire the complexity and picturesqueness of this map.
