My "atmosphere enchanting" ideas

Hi everyone I have two ideas I wanted to share with you. I have written them before on this forums but I just wanted to put them together in one theard and polish them a little(I also posted them on the main ubi forums).


1.This idea is about the Heroes VI's creature's upgrade system. It would add one more upgrade to the game. Here is the idea: You start the town at rank 1 and you have access to the basic and upgraded level of your core creatures(you still need to buy and upgrade their dwellings). Then you upgrade your town to rank 2. You now have access to master level for two(or one(I haven't decided yet)) of your core creatures of your choice as well as basic and upgraded level of your elite creatures. Same with rank 3 than you have access to master level for two(one) of your elite creatures of your choice as well as basic and upgraded level of your champion creatures. I havenīt decided yet about rank 4 but maybe Tear of Asha would unlock the master level of the champion creatures.


2. This is a rather big idea so maby it could be implemented in Heroes VII(if there will be one). However, it could well be implemented in Heroes VI. Here is the idea: How about if units upgrades would represent heroes stats. Like for example a hero with high attack but low defence would have units with good weapons but poor armor. There would be like 1-3 upgrades for each category. For example a footman would have 2 upgrades for his weapons and 3 upgrades for his armor because he is a defensive warrior.

About hero stats and upgrade levels:
If hero would have 8 attack and 8 defence a footman would get level 2 upgrade for his armor and level 1 upgrade for his weapon. A hero would need 10 in attack for the footman to get level 2 upgrade for his weapon and 12 in defence for the footman to get level 3 armor upgrade. Higher level creatures would need higer stats to get their upgrades.

About ablities: A weapon upgrade would grant the monster an offensive ability and an armor upgrade would grant the monster a defensive ability.

The spellpower and knowlegde would only be linked to the hero, not the creatures.

If the units would switch form one hero to another they would get diffrent upgrades based on their current hero stats.

This wouldn't be very hard to do graphically because you would only need to make 1 fully armored model of a creature and then just take the armor off to represtent lower armor levels, but you would need to change the weapon for each weapon upgrade.

Not sure about that upgrde idea. IT definitely is creative but it seems VERY huge and complicated...

Well honestly I think it would be easier to implement the second idea than for example town screens.

So no one is going to argue about this? Then let's say that this idea falls under the same category as town screens and there would be very little priority difference for adding them giving town screens a slight edge.
