RMG for 252X252 MAPS

Before I start, just want to thank all those that continue to take time to study how HOMM3 works and find ways to edit it to make the game more enjoyable for all. Me and a friend recently used Alex's patch that allows for maps to be enlarged to 252x252. It's been great and all but I'm finding the rmg that comes with it seems to be quite easy. Not many high level creatures or high stacks of low level creatures guarding treasures/artifacts/utopias etc, so there isn't much to do. Mostly just resources everywhere 99%. I've tried editing the rmg to change monster strength, but anything I do makes no difference, besides the fact that whatever I did, made it so no heros existed in taverns so had to revert back to the original. We always play randomly created, xxl, no water, always full underground, 2 v 2, me and one ai, and him and one ai. What we're really hoping for is just to be able to play a map for a long time lol, not where we clear it in a few months. Does anyone know where I might be able to locate one such as this?

You probably need another map template. Here's my package. You may find their descriptions with pictures on the internet.

Place these in your \Data folder and rename the file you want to use to "rmg".

Note that some of these may need specific player settings before map can be generated.

Thanks Warmonger, appreciate it. You're one of the guys I remember in these forums for at least a decade now. Funny how this game keeps us coming back to it. I don't think there's any game quite like it that has the same effects on me.

Playing random XXL is instant coma then.

Salamandre, another old name. That's why you play in tournaments and I don't. You're not cut out for long games and I'm not cut out for short games.

Oh, I love long games! Is just about random maps, my eyes can't heal  from monotonous design and boring challenges. Maximum size for me is medium, when random. Tried once XL and lost because fall asleep. But seems that templates get better and better, maybe one day I try again.

wow, these are great.
However, I wonder, are there any, more "casual" players, persay, who are interested in RMGs which will work for 8 players? Because I notice these are all for 1v1

I'm very interested and I'd love to see your works.  I'm a player who hasn't gotten into online play yet (I suck too much) but I love slowly exploring huge maps vs full 7 AI opponents and as much difficulty as I can accomplish with scripts, settings, Phoenix Mod (that definitely changes things up), etc.

But as far as RMG goes, I strictly have been making them 8xm8, so I'm starved for new templates of that interesting sort, since as you say the available templates folks have made are mostly for online play with 2, occasionally 4 players.

In fact, all you need to do is to set max size of map to 98 (whatever it means).
The issue is that not all the maps will work nicely on 252x252.

I can't open a new Thread, so I will ask here:
I created an own rmg.txt
The Problem is, that the game crashes at some point, when the opponents take a new Town.

I tried to load the Savegame and checked (with cheats) what exactly happens:
I have 5 Towns, 2 AI Players have 4, 3 have 3 and 2 have 2 Towns.
If AI with 4 Towns takes one, it crashes.
If AI with 3 Towns takes one, it crashes.
If I take one (or more) everything is fine.
If I take it and leave it unprotected, so the opponent can get it, it crashes

Since neither 4,5 (both new number of towns for that Player), 22 (Number of towns of AI players) or 27 (number of owned towns in total) is something like 2^x or (2^x)-1 I don't have any idea, why that happens. I didn't have these problems with other RMGs from the HD-mod.

I Play HotA (English) with HD. And I create a random map size giant and no underground

Any ideas? Here i have uploaded a zip, with my rmg.txt, the savegame and the crashlogs.
