i can't play in LAN

Well, my friend and i were trying to play in LAN using the SAME version of Hamachi, we have the SAME patches in the SAME language and we use no mods, however we can't play because whenever one of us tries to join a game, there is an error that says we don't have the same game versions! How is this possible!? Why can't we play!?
Any solutions??

Since no real gamer is helping you

Are you using Hamachi 1.0.1.5? From what I've "read" no other version is stable.

Ya, people are pretty busy anymore and don't show up here a lot sadly, but they do make it around, you just gotta wait several days usually.

I've found you have to have Expert luck with the Golden Horseshoe in your pocket to get Heroes 5 and Hamachi to run reliably.  I've had it work great one day and the next nothing.  I have had better luck with the older version that Markkur suggested though.

Heroes 5 is EXTREMELY picky as to having the same version too.

I've had it not work because I had one different map in the maps folder than the other guy.  Now I keep ALL maps out of my maps folder except for the one I'm playing at the time.  Maybe that will help you?

Yesterday LAN didn't work for me because I had installed the no intro patch on one computer.  All the patch did was change a little bit in one XML file and it was enough to make LAN not work.

If all that doesn't work I usually use a program called Remobo that does the same thing as Hamachi, just more reliably.  Maybe Remobo will work better?

If all else fails I have had success a few times by completely uninstalling the game (manually deleting the game's 2 folders after running the uninstall program) and reinstalling.

It's not that bad. I have only had trouble in rare instances only, when hamachi is hosting too many connections and it keeps looking for a slot to add you - which can take a while. Otherwise you only need to keep track of your opponent's maps/mods and your own. In much rarer instances a player will be unable to see games from others though others can see his, uncertain why but some people are just cursed..

Hope it works out!
I remember when game companies actually finished working obvious bugs out of a game before they released it... then released patches to fix people's problems like the one your having.  Seems too many games these days were just developed to a playable state then abandoned for the next greatest game.
