Poll Question:
Do you wear a watch?
I recently got a pretty nice and stylish watch from a relative but never found a reason to wear it since I always carried a cellphone.
Now however I got this huge fricking cellphone that is awesome in every way but isn't the kinda thing I wanna pull outta mah pants every fricking minute (I'm kinda obsessed about time), so I started wearing a watch again.
This got me thinking... who the hell except me even wears a watch in this time and age? I can't recall the last time I saw one on any youngster.

I would, but I have yet to find a watch that will function for any length of time on my wrist. No matter the quality, who makes it, etc..they stop working within a week of me wearing it.

Btw, Adrius, wearing a watch isn't just about being able to tell what time it is. It's a piece of jewelry.

Same thing happens to my TVs, when I try to 'break the ice' and play a game of magnets, they always commit suicide  . I guess it wasn't ready for a commited relationship.

Yeah if I just wanted to tell the time I'd look at a cell phone. it's also a piece of jewelry like Cor said.

I've always worn a watch. Even when I was little.
Now I have a beautiful silver pendant watch, that my uncle gave me. And when at work I wear my nurses fob watch.
But I'm also obsessed with my cellphone Adrius, I know what its like

Gnomes does. I wanted to make fun of him about it when he posted his picture and I saw a watch on him.
I never liked the feel of it against my skin. If I ever had a watch on I would end up playing with it. I got a really nice wristwatch when I turned 16 but my wrists were (are) too slim. Would have had to gone to a jeweler to get it adjusted.

I know I know... but if the basic functionality of it is already fulfilled by another gadget I have trouble justifying wearing it.

I have stopped wearing wristwatches when I was 16, because I began to grow to dislike the feeling on my wrist and the obstruction in movement. I told time of clocks and my cell for about a year. The when I graduated from highschool at the end of my 17th year, I got a pocketwatch(huntercase).
Ever since I have been carrying a pocketwatch with me and I own several now. As said before, watches are not only timepieces, they are jewelry.

No, I personaly find it restraining the movement of my wrist, and it feels like foreign body, never got used to it... Besides nowadays you usually have cellphone nearby.

I try to wear a watch most of the time because not knowing how late it is when you are on the late side for class or something similar makes me very neurotic and uneasy.
Unfortunately, if I wear a watch for too long I noticed that I get this very nasty rash on my wrist, so I tend to not wear it too often.
I also nearly ALWAYS forget to put it on each morning, so...

I'd love to wear a watch as I'm obsessed about knowing the time. Unfortunately I just use my cellphone keep track and therefor I don't need a watch enough in order for me to get one. :/
Besides if I should have a watch it would have to be really stylish, and because of that, probably kinda expensive...

I wear a watch to class and while traveling, but never otherwise. It's a cheap watch that cost less than $10, but I like it because it has the day of the week in 13 languages, so I set it to German so it'd say DIE every Tuesday.

Did me too. Went to leather bands. However, at a time when they were large and well-crafted.

Only wore them when working and never when "off the clock". 
Retirement has made me return to the beginning of "Easy Rider" and I never wear one, unless it would be my "golden eagle pocket-watch w/chain" for a grandfather-like adornment.
