I suggest a clean re-install, having a doubled plugin could mean many things went wrong.

Hi guys! I have a question regarding multiplayer with ERA and mods.

Are there any mods I should avoid if playing multiplayer? In other words, mods that don't work as they should or simply crash/freeze the game during multiplayer?

You may try the existing subset of mods.
Unsure that you installed update for 2.43 (the first post of Era thread) and edit heroes3.ini:

Aha! I didn't know about that update, but now I have updated and edited the heroes3.ini file just like you suggested!

Thank you for your help Bersy! I'll try multiplayer now and see if I'll notice any difference.

It simply darkens the team colors in gameplay. Especially looks better if you play purple necromancer:



Upgraded Troops, Fnord's script repacked for Era:

Only upgraded creatures will be available for Heroes to recruit at town and external dwellings, and all heroes will start with upgraded troops.
Furthermore, Creature Banks, Pandora's Boxes and local events that give free troops when captured will always give upgraded troops.

Non-upgraded units placed by the map maker will remain as they are and you won't be able to upgrade them if they join you.
Necromancers will produce normal skeletons if there's any empty slot as usual.

Wog Revised update:

1- I corrected a few typos and turned all artEfacts into artifacts for consistency. Also new players, especially if their mother tongue isn't english could have thought they are two different things.
2- I added two lines to gnoll marauders first strike script. if selected, the new specialty is also shown in creature info box. i checked if the zText number was claimed or used anywhere else, no conflicts.
3- ReadMe file that automatically displays in mods manager info box.

This mod resets the cartographers monthly and lets you revisit them for the usual price of 1000 gold.

Fnord's Command Points script repacked for Era. This is the modified by JimV version. I haven't tested this much yet, any bug reports would be good.

This script limits the number of troops that a single hero can take into battle. The main goal is to require players to spread out their army, rather than using the tried-and-true (but somewhat boring) "superhero" strategy.

Higher level heroes will be able to command more troops, but the limits make it necessary to diversify if you wish to field a larger army.

Each hero can command up to 2000 plus 3000 Command Points (3000 gold) worth of troops per hero level in battle. Exceeding this results in the excess troops departing.

A town without a defending hero or Fort can send 5,000 Command Points of troops into battle. If the town has a Fort, it can sent 10,000 points, a Citadel, 15,000 points, and a Castle, 20,000 points. If the town has a defending hero, the Fort/Citadel/Castle bonus is added to the defending hero's Command Point total.

Neutral armies and towns have no Command Point limits.

To see the active hero's Command Point limit and total Command Points of the hero's army at any time, right-click on the Sleep/Wake button. To see the Command Points for a town garrison or garrison hero, right-click on the garrison hero slot in the town screen.

Leadership reduces the Command Point value of troops by 10% per level of Leadership (i.e., 10%/20%/30%) for troops affected by morale only.
In other words, Undead and Elementals don't get this reduction bonus.

Necromancy reduces the Command Point value of Undead troops in the same way as Leadership (i.e., 10%/20%/30% for Undead troops only).

Air/Earth/Fire/Water Magic reduce the Command Point values of Elementals of the same element by 10%/20%/30%, e.g., Advanced Fire Magic reduces the Command Point cost of Fire and Energy Elementals by 20%.

Diplomacy increases a hero's Command Points by 150/300/500 per level.

I need a little help about Fast AI (Better AI). I want to remove AI's fly function at level 50. I removed these strings:

They definitely look better than the wog ones. I dont see why these were put in Wog in the first place. I guess somebody missed the simpler elementals of H2. Yet now we have the Conflux elementals AND the messengers and it's too much. Is the mod compatible with metamorph script btw?

Edit: This should be below Yona or pikeman defs go back to original. Probably the other ones too, havent checked yet.

Hello!
I seem to have a problem playing 300 spartans map.
It says invalid or corrupted map. Is it my problem and i also tried opening map with different editors but still nothing. Help!

Okay no need to reply i disabled all mods and started putting on them 1 by 1 and found out that all map crashes were cause by TEW 4 !

Era editor can be opened from mod manager. Make sure the mod in enabled, open editor, then search for that map in the specific mod.

Tew4 should be disabled when using any other mod, because it uses XXL plugin, which modifies the editor.

SoD mod (gimme a better name if you think of)

DOWNLOAD (460 Kb)

The mod purpose is to allow SoD maps to be played in safe WoG environment, within limited and selectable wog options. Couldn't find a way to remove gods bonuses icons, only they are left in.



Is unhotify mod safe? I may add it to.
