ahhhhh... when i start a campaign or a single player map it says:
ERM syntax error
File: String
Reason:
String: Index is already in use.
Save all ERM vars to WOGERMLOG.TXT (may take time)

I Don't know... salamandre sent me the link, and i installed and the way he told me and I was trying to play and is appearing this error ... what should I do?

Sounds like you got something screwed up with the installation. Were I you, I would uninstall everything, install HoMM3 SoD, install WoG 3.58f, then install the ERA 2 from the link Sal provided. If it still doesn't work, maybe Sal or Bersey can help you further troubleshoot the problem. Afraid I'm not an expert.

No, Bersy's answer was sarcastic. Era must be installed on HoMM 3, without WoG 3.58f, it was specified about 1789125 times in this or other threads.

I have the cd but not working. I downloaded HoMM3 from [censored] then I keep it safe. When I need to install Era or whatever, I copy/paste it elsewhere then I modify it. This is the most common advice I can give.

Just google "Heroes of Might and Magic 3 complete download" and when you're done install Era 2 on clean H3 complete. We can't give direct links because of legal issues. Btw, isn't H3 abandonware since 3DO went down?

In the future, though, maybe it's better to NOT be sarcastic when answering questions of people new to WoG. I've been using WoG for years and it still confuses the hell out of me what files need to be installed and where the latest versions are. Now you throw ERA on top of that and it increases confusion even more. Yes I'm sure answers are stated dozens of times on the board, but there are dozens of threads and hundreds of pages of posts. Hard to find easy answers in all that.
If it is helpful, I can sticky a simple thread with continually updated install information and locations of files.

No, Ubisoft owns all Might and Magic IP. Downloading it for free is illegal and we cannot discuss it here.

Marisa is not new to wog, rather long time user/player.
Anyway, next Era version will have instant detection then abort install if wog 3.58 present, mainly because it becomes very tedious to answer every day about same thing, which is already red bold in Era II main post.
I don't see why one could be confused about, all he/she needs is to read Era requirements, thread is sticked.

May I ask but is it possible to have a mini mod where I can have the School of Sorcery (add special abilities to monsters via experiences) like Time of Prophecy, Dragon Slaughter, TEW III,... in random maps?! I'm really looking forward to such thing.

i was gonna ask the same thing for the interface in TEW 4, the one that increases the damage of spells with mithril. that would be a lovely mod for era on its own. and sal, i just noticed your new artificer trades mithril even if its not enabled in wog settings, isn't this kind of a loop hole? you cant upgrade windmills and stuff but you can still modify creatures with mithril in the emerald tower. it used to be like when you disable mithril it meant some objects had limited power, you were also minimazing their functions and now you can get endless mithril with artificer even if its not enabled through wog settings.
another question is this, right now when you use custom object patches, they should also be on when the map is being played. so if someone makes a map using composite objects patch, the players should already have composite objects patch to be able to play the map. this causes map makers to hesitate when it comes to using these objects because the average player wont have these patches stored. isnt it possible to upgrade to a system in which once the map is made, the object graphics are stored in the map file, enabling the player to see correct display even if he doesnt have the related patches?
if not, maybe a united version of these object patches should be made, not for using with the editor, but to keep turned on all the time while playing all sorts of custom maps.

It is not possible to store objects in map file. I don't think mapmakers hesitate using patches, I think there are no WoG mapmakers left (due also to scripting requirements, it takes much more time to make one than simple SoD, then the game is old also). DocSumman used 1.08 patch when he wanted a map with, I used a patch when I wanted it and so on.
As for Tew4 interface, maybe someone will make it one day. So far it was balanced for one map, I have no idea how could work on randoms, what could be the prices, the limits (in tew 4 you can hypnotize or resurrect hundred of creatures once upgraded), then AI also must be scripted. Such things are not for the common game play.
I will look at artificer, not hard to disable mithril exchange if option not selected, thanks for noticing it.
