artscow.com

Hi

Can I just pitch in  a recommendation for www.artscow.com. I learned about this site from boardgamegeek.com, which is the main site on the web for boardgame / cardgame reviews and discussions.

Anyway, artscow.com is an excellent printing service than can print playing cards and maps really cheaply and will help you do mock ups of the game. I recommend that you look on the forums and lists at boardgamegeek.com for discussion of the services that artscow.com provide.

I have used them to print cards for my personal favourite rpg/storytelling game: Talisman. More about Talisman from talismanisland.com.

Good luck with the game...

I wanted to say that this is a great project you have going on!

About the battle:
When you choose to make it with battlefields it would be mutch more like real heroes, but on the other side this would require lots of additional tokens (and/or more figures), also it would be more like a board game and no card game anymore.

On the other side i can't really think of a card based system that would reflect a battle in heroes...

Just some points u can think about

EDIT
Also you could present this project in boardgamegeek, mentioned in the post above, I'm sure there are quite  some people there that know heroes and there u can find the real boardgame-pros

Yes, I think you could bring some boardgamegeek users over to our site and get more love for Heroes III.

I have found the boardgamegeek community very helpful with advice and discussion. I would suggest that your game would go under the "print and play" category over there. There have been some excellent "print and play " games designed over on the site.

Print and play games can be made into full blown commercial products. It can also be used as a way of getting your name out there in the community.

If you do use boardgamegeek, let me know what your username is over there so I can follow you.

Cheers!

thanks for the idea to post it on boardgamegeek, they are a bit sceptical but in a helpful way

this is the topic, feel free to join in on this topic or on boardgamegeek! http://boardgamegeek.com/thread/820714/heroes-of-might-and-magic-iii-based-card-game

the current plan is as follows:

i think i will keep the following parts:
- exploring the map
- building your city
- battles
- levelling up (maybe loose this also)

items, rewards, skills, spells and creatures will be part of your deck and will function a bit differently from the original game.
