I fail to see the logic. The game may be broken or not but
1) They release quite a big patch at that time with quite a lot of content and
2) the DLC is a campaign, so "broken" isn't much of a point, as long as "broken" can be realistically fixed at all.
3) Also everyone can check the patch first-

Which leaves the price which is (too) high in MY opinion; others may think differently, though.

That it can be fixed doesn't make it any less useless. That said, I didn't mean to imply the DLC will be broken, but it might as well be.

A patch that comes about 1 year too late since 1.5 will put the game in a state in which it should have been at its release.

Maybe it can be fixed, but the game is in a state that is - for me - beyond redemption since I can't even play more than 5-6 turns without getting bored. At this point, it's not a patch that will fix the game.

The price just shows that Ubisoft wants to milk the fan while they still can. The H6 debacle has simply pushed me the other way ... I've decided never to buy any Ubisoft game anymore until they show some respect to their fanbase.

Point two.. How do such people think they will help the game by not buing it? Can anybody explain this to me. because as far as my knowladge goes "no sales = No more such games". Nobady would invest in something that does not generate profit.
That's the point that you deliberately fail to see - not because you can't but because you don't want to - less (ideally no) sales means that Ubisoft will abandon the project and if they do, they have no reason to keep the franchise as their own and will eventually sell it. Even though it's theoretically possible the eventual new owner to **** up even more badly, it'll be very difficult to do so. Ultimately there's a high chance the fan community to win if Ubisoft stops developing the series and passes it to somebody else.
But of course you can go ahead and "support" the game if you want to, nobody can stop you. The thing is that if you want to prove something to someone, you have to use something different from rhetoric. Your potential material evidences however are a big pile of Ubisoft failures. Seriously, Dave, point me one historical reason why anyone in his right mind should keep giving his money to this company?

Just to clarify - IIRC town screens have disabled animations, because of low quality hardware.

If you do not want to support the franchise do not do it, but do not force others to do so aswell, I do not force you to support it, I just do not like people talking so bad so much. (Compensation for me mocking Heroes IV some years back)
Sorry I am a person that will most probably make a living absed on his rhetotics so I think they are a usefull tool. I am not a "IT expert" I can not make the game technically better, but I can help it with the abilities I have. I can contribute to better translations, provide news to fans, create Wiki articles etc.
Why support Ubi as the woner of teh Franchies? Well For one point, I like the franchies and for teh second one They did make some good games in it. Clash of heroes was not for everybody but it was a very good game. Heroes V ended up as a very good game and Dark Messiah is even today seen as a Inovativ game.
Yes they messed up With H-VI bad and things Kingdoms are not a big help either. But Ubi has whown that they can make good games in this franchies. I may not like the way Heroes Vi has gone (I do not like several mechanics) or things like Ubies DRM policy, but that doesn't stop me from seing the rest of the picture.

That a better company will pick up the project after ubisoft abandons it, is even more retoric as the things dave said. It takes that certain different company ether alot of stones to pick up a project That was deemed failed by ubisoft, or one that sees how much ubisoft messed up with it. But ether way picking up a project that was deemed failed by ubisoft is not a very tasty and appealing apple as we say in the country that i am from.

You ask for an example of why it is good to pay ubisoft money? Well take a look at H5, now you may like it or not but it is Leagues appart of the game that got released, why? Becouse people pay money and ubisoft saw profit to be made in improving and expanding the game trough expansions.

Besides that would like to add that i find your last statement pretty offensive. plenty of people in their right mind pay ubisoft money. I will certainly buy the dlc.

Yes, TotE was a good game (objectively, I don't like it that much for various subjective reasons), don't know about the rest, never played them. And what happened after that? You see, Heroes VI is for TotE what Heroes IV is for Heroes III with the only difference that Ubisoft are nowhere near bankruptcy and are pretty determined to squeeze the brand as much as possible. People, remembering little as usual, forget what a pathetic game Heroes V was before TotE and how Ubisoft behaved in exactly the same manner as they do now. After releasing one good product they totally f***** up the next one just like they did with Heroes V initially, without even thinking of excuse or anything like that, but suddenly one should not be negative. Why? Why should I be positive when I see the repetition of the Heroes V scenario, only that this time the developer is no longer working on the game?

You basically don't make a difference between Heroes and Ubisoft Heroes. The former has a very large fan base and will eventually buy any sequel that is worthy of the brand's original fame. The latter has mostly disgruntled players in its ranks and a history of disasters in the worst case and semi-successes in the best one. Any buyer will be interested in the former, not the latter. Heroes IV was pretty damaging to the series too but Heroes V, despite its hundreds flaws, sold VERY well just because it was a new beginning of sorts (while Heroes VI is just "seen that already").

So, when Black Hole left UBI was cornered without ability to create major content.
Their only way out to make more money on HVI is to create small scale content and make at least some cash out bad situation and dying game.

So, in my opinion, what we can expect in the future is they will continue to patch the game without any major content changes and they will create DLC for every faction with few maps, few "new heroes" (well only the head is new ), recycled creatures and try to cut the loses.

If we get new faction that would be because it was already half done while Black Hole was still in the game.

Is anyone else getting the same "vibe"?

I think at this point in time a lot of the community will underestimate what the future of the game will look like, I'd rather do that and then be pleasantly surprised when something big comes

Could that mean that future modelling is being outsourced to them as well? Which would mean that there is major work being done on new creatures/heroes etc.

Yes, models are made by puppet works. But tell me who will program the abilities and insert in the game the units and so on.
