Ah ok I wish to have an encounter. Will this still apply posthumous (as in you editing that post)? Cause Gnomes and Alkar had theirs. Sorry if I'm a bit confused.
EDIT: Nvm I think I get it. It's either move encouter, stay encouter or move shop. Or just shop and do nothing except shop right?

Exactly, you can either shop or have an encounter, not both. And yeah you don't have to move, you can stay there and have an encounter or shop again.
@Omega. My personal story has that I need to draw 2 tomes, so drawing = acquiring? Surely it is not enough if I just draw and not buy, is it?

@Minion.
How I treat your ability is that any time you would draw more than one spell spell, you draw an extra and discard one. So if you were told to draw 2 spells and keep one, you would draw 3 spells and then keep 2.
When shopping, since you are only given the option of purchasing 1 item, you can draw an extra spell but you can only purchase 1 of the spells.
However, your ability ONLY applies to spells. The items in the Curiositie Shoppe are unique items.

Oh, no I meant the Personal Story. In order to pass it "Each time Dexter Drake draws a Tome, put a Clue token on this card. If there are 2 Clue tokens on this card, place "Sorcerer" in play"

Oooo... I misunderstood. My apologies.
We are not playing personal stories right now. They are part of an expansion. I wanted to play a vanilla game first and see how it turned out before introducing expansion elements. I personally really like personal stories because they give you an individual goal. Plus you can get some crazy bonuses.
Maybe next game we'll have personal stories.

Every turn, give me what your new ratios will be on the game page.
Right now, you have a big bowl of monster soup to deal with. A monster surge occurs when a portal would appear on an existing portal. You draw as many monsters as there are players or portals, whichever is greater.
Right now, the only monster who has moved is the cultist and he could be easily slain. Just be careful not to end your turn in the Downtown area due to monster movement. Furthermore, fighting DOES NOT consume the rest of your turn.

Just a heads-up, the first player changes every turn.
Where the game resolved with Alkar's turn being first last round, now Alkar's turn will be resolved last.

Gnomes can also nominate a person to restore +1 sanity if that person is in his location. It can be Gnomes himself too.

A couple of questions:
1. Since I have 3 Clue tokens, does that mean that my priority should be running for the portals to try and close them?
2. A monster surge on 2nd turn? REALLY??? Did all of them appear at the independence square? Because if so, I am NOT going near that physical immunity fellow.
3. Dagoth mentioned something about not returning the Dark Young to the cup earlier, why was that?
Edit: 4. My ability that allows to draw from the bottom of the deck, does it work for shops as well?

A fellow players opinion (who has 0 clues, tadaaa!) is that it is best you try to get 5 Clues so you can seal a portal. It is of no use if all of us have a 1-3 Clues but none have the required 5.

@Omega. I think you forgot to place the initial Clues on all the locations with a red diamond on them. So in Unnamable Alkar should have gained 2 Clue tokens instead of one.

Done. I updated where all the clue token remain. Thanks to Minion for reminding me of that. I apologize. Anyways, feel free to edit your posts to indicate any changes in movement you would like to make.
Thank you for baring with me. I do not get to play the game as much as I'd like because a lot of the people we gamed with moved away awhile back. Given the amount of time the game takes, Nicole is seldom in the mood to set it up and give it a go. We tend to stick more to Munchkin, Fluxx, or Penny Arcade: Gamers vs. Evil.

Unfortunately, it was a random draw that resulted in the monster surge. While it stinks so many monsters appear, the team CAN defeat them. Doing so may be beneficial. With enough toughness' worth of monster tokens, you could get blessed (Success on 4 instead of 5) or pick up a new ally. On the positive side, the doom track did not go up.
The Dark Young did not return to the cup because it was spawned the turn of the text. Thematically, it didn't seem to make a lot of sense to me, so I spawned it.
