Behold! Battle of Death. Necropolis vs Inferno.

Unlike previous battles, players have to now play only with one side. Thus, Necropolis player can't move Inferno troops.
Battle won't begin until both sides have two players, at least. I don't play this time but Djive has joined Inferno. Spells and skills of the opposite side are now hidden from player. I will e-mail or IM the spells and skills to player according to his or her town.

Combat examples:

61 Ogre Magi attack 10 Arch Angels. Attack/Defense (Hero stats counted) difference is +8  for Angels and -5 for Ogres. Arch Angels do base damage of 500 and Attack/Defense (40%) difference increases it to (500*1.40)700 killing 11(660) Ogre Magi and damaging the 12th one (Health 20). Now 50 Ogre Magi retaliate doing 300-600 damage but Attack/Defense(-12%) decreases it to (0.88*(300-600))264-528. Average damage is ((264+528)*0.5)396, so Ogres kill one Angel and damaging second (Health 104).

Overlord`s 7 Black Dragons attack the Ranger`s 7 Gold Dragons (already retaliated). A/D difference for the Black Dragons is -4(-10%). Overlord has Expert Offense while Ranger has Expert Armorer. Black Dragons do (0.90*7*45*0.85*1.3)313 damage, killing one and damaging second (Health 187). 1.3 comes from Offense while 0.85 comes from Armorer.

Ranger`s 63 Grand Elves attack the Battle Mage`s 81 Wolf Raiders (in shooting range). A/D difference for the Grand Elves is +5(25%). Ranger has Expert Archery. Grand Elves do ((1.25+0.5)*63*2*4)882 damage, killing all of the Wolf Raiders. 0.5 comes from Archery.

Archery and Offense have the same methods. If A/D is negative it will affect both Offense and the Archery (reducing the damage done from Offense or Archery). If A/D is positive it wont affect the damage the Offense or the Archery inflicts. A/D difference wont affect the damage reduced by the Armorer.

(Positive A/D + 0.3[Offense] or 0.5[Archery])* Average Damage one Creature does *Number of the Creatures = Total Damage

Negative A/D * 1.3[Offense] or 1.5[Archery] * Average Damage one Creature does *Number of the Creatures = Total Damage

Negative or Positive A/D * 0.85[Armorer] * Average Damage one Creature does *Number of the Creatures = Total Damage


Note that if the creature is out of shooting range (10 hexes), the shooter will do only half damage.

If the attackers Attack skill is higher than defenders Defense skill,  then damage is increased 5% per point of difference (up to a maximum of 400%). If the Attack skill is lower, then damage is decreased 2.5% (fractions are rounded down) per point of difference (to a minimum of 30%).

Also, I just thought of something..  Im probably gonne get interested in this fight, think out a greaaaat tactic, and then someone gonna ruin it and Im gonna cry.. aww

So I guess the best thing is to not take this so seriously?
btw too bad us necro dont get upgraded level 1s  skeleton warriors =(
but I guess thatīs ok since we have so many =)

I love to help with strategy & since I cant play Bjorn I will play him here hehehehe I will let other players move the pieces but will give advice how to blastthose Necromancers to whence they came DDDD:

Hey, necro players should either exchange AIM names or even use this antiquated IM system on the board to plan strategy and make sure no one screws it up.  My AIM is the same as this, Fantusta.  Bjorn, this might help, eh?

I dont know what AIM is, I have icq.
I think IM works great since not everyone has the same stuffs.

I wonder what spells everyone has I know that inferno has a 10% or something like that chance to get armegeddon but not sure how you deal with the spells heheheheh.
Time to put the hurt on the Necs & hopefully inferno players dont do nothing crazy or else it will be more challenging DDDD:

shouldn't we know if the other side has armorer/offense? In the real game is more difficult to find out, but here we use the average damage so it should be obvious.

Inferno units wouldn't freeze. Spirit of Opression takes both positive and negative morale bonuses from units.

Yes, due to the great Ghost dragon special. I heop the archdevils freeze, or the demons =D  
I canīt imagine how we will determine if something freezes. Maybe we should give inferno a glyph of gallantry or something.

Actually, it only takes away morale bonuses. But itīs eailsy fixed with an artifact that gives +1 morale

I dont know which game and version some of u play but in the game that i play (Heroes3 , version 1.4): Spirit of opression + ghost drags = -1 morale  ( if enemy troops are all o one town)

I have SoD. Believe me or not but there aren't any negative morale if the Spirit of Opression is in effect. Actually it is same whether there are those artifacts or not, better take them back though .

I remember I was doing a random map with some dif wandering creatures & the spirit of obsession.
Well my morale kept going down even when I was wering it so I think spirit is worthless junky arty orless you can tell me how it works yes.
