HoMM VI 50% off promotion - steam

Some nice deals on today. 77% on Might and Magic Pack (H5,H6, Clash of heroes, Dark Messiah)
I wonder though, is steam server still separated from normal servers? It could be a big minus for some players.

Probably, I bought it on Steam and while there are 6-7 games up online (much more than normal) I expect more after 1.5 patch

Actually lets test it, if anyone with a non-steam version is free to test for 10-15 mins in the next few hours post here and we'll try to start a game to see if we can

Steam won't penalize or restrict people from using their own servers. They actually encourage that kind of stuff with few exceptions (like TF2 and DotA 2).
If HoMM VI goes on sale again, on the last day, I'll bump this for those of you (like me) who have been waiting for bugs/balance/town screens.
