Might and Magic VII Take 2 — OoC

For those of you who weren't a part of this game before, or who need a little reminder, the premise is thus:

On the night of the new moon, a magical ritual summoned the souls of people from across the multiverse. Unfortunately for you, that was all that responded, and you find yourself trapped in a body and on a world that doesn't belong to you, left to fend for yourself with only the skills of your new form.

For this game, you can play anyone (movie, book, videogame character etc.), just remember that they're currently low level humans/elves/etc, and won't be able to use any powers they would have had in their own bodies.

From anyone who wants to play, I need at bare minimum:

The character you will be playing (Link to a description if possible, and if there is more than one version of them—ex: Megatron from Transformers has several incarnations—specify which one you're using.)
Your character's (new) race – Human, Elf, Dwarf, Halfling, Goblin
Your character's (new) class – Knight, Paladin, Cleric, Monk, Druid, Ranger, Archer, Sorcerer, Thief

A few other things to note before we begin are:

—I'm not bothering with the specifics of stats or skill sets this time, it will be a freeform game. Just don't have your Knight throwing around Fireballs or your Sorcerer functioning in plate mail without the DM's previous say-so and you'll do fine.

—Since the field of possible characters is so wide, I am putting a 'no duplicates' restriction in place, and first come is first served. So if you want to play Sephiroth and he's already played by someone else, you'll need to find a different character.

—Also, the people who were in last time have first dibs on their old characters if they want them.

((I have listed abilities that will eventually work for Cauthon, apparently they got left behind like spare luggage in the vortex that sucked Mat into this world, and they will randomly fall on his head eventually. Oh and his equipment is not magical, the amulet lost its enchantment somehow and his spear sort of was never magical to begin with...))

Name: Mat Cauthon, the Gambler who gave up half of the light of the world.
-Short description: Mat is a lucky son of a snow that has some pretty bloody massive skill with the quarterstaff and throwing knives. He swears (allot), doesn't really like nobles all that much (ironically, he becomes a prince and, eventually emperor), hates battles (which always seem to find him) and has memories of lives and soldiers from thousands of years that he did not live. He was given a spear sword to go with those memories, and a medallion that wards all magic (Positive and negative) for the price of being hanged. The only reason for Mat's survival was a timely intervention by his friend, Rand Al'Thor.
Mat married the heir to an invading empire (quite accidentally) and he developed true feelings for her. This does not stop him from flirting with pretty women, or swearing like a sailor, but it has made him somewhat more responsible.
Race: Reincarnated as a human. He still is missing his left eye and has a mark on his neck from a noose.
Class: Closest thing to a soldier is a Knight or ranger... With his bow skills, that makes him a Ranger. Mat has an enhanced ability to dodge, wears light armor and has great skill in the Staff (Particularly his ashandarei, or bladed spear) and with knives. He uses speed and unrelenting assaults to deal with his enemies, as well as his extreme amounts of luck. (It could be argued that his luck is what forces him to fight in the first place, but what the hey.)
Special perks/ disadvantages:
-Mat is lucky enough to get a re-roll in games of chance. Games of skill are not affected. (Inactive)
-Cauthon is half-blind and must hide his neck, otherwise local law enforcement begins to assume that he "Must" be a criminal and that he should probably be hanged again... (Appearance, so it is always active)
-As a neither here nor there, Mat has memories from many brilliant military minds and many, many memories of dying in rather painful and creative ways. Sometimes, Mat speaks in the old tongue without realizing it, and he can understand the language as well. This translates to knowing what a spell would cause, like the incantation for fireball or something. Mat cannot cast magic himself, but can talk to magical creatures. This does not mean that they automatically like him, though... (Active, this is a part of him, much like his face...)
Equipment:
-Basic leather armor
-Six daggers
-Raven Medallion (No enchantment yet)
-Ashandarei (Bladed spear, not magical in any way)
-Boots that are made for walking
-Boots for a dance

While playing Dr. Doom is an honor, gnomes gave me another idea. I think I'll take a character from a fantasy series as well. I got dibs on Rincewind... or better yet, I got dibs on the Luggage.

I'll make my character once I decide who I want to be (Choices are limitless!!!) On the top of my list at the moment are: (I added their bios here, but you are under no obligation to read them, clicking on the links will give you images )

Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde- Jekyll believed that the soul is made up of two separate distinctions: good and evil. These two separate beings live in continuous and inherent conflict with each other. Slowly, Jekyll begins an experiment where he attempts to completely differentiate these two aspects of human nature. Jekyll experiments extensively and then makes two potions. One transforms him into Edward Hyde, and the second transforms him back into Henry Jekyll. This amazingly successful experiment begins Jekyll's extensive exploration of his other self, a man entirely comfortably in morally corrupt behavior, whom he eventually names Edward Hyde.

He-man- Long ago in the Kingdom of Eternia, a young prince named Adam learned that along with his reign would come the power of the cosmos, a power that would allow him to protect the innocent and uphold justice and honor in his kingdom. This power was bestowed upon him by the Sorceress, the keeper of the secrets and magic of the mysterious Castle Greyskull. This ultimate power was forged into a sword (many know it as the Sword of Power) and given to Adam to wield. Upon uttering the words, By the Power of Greyskull, Adam would take on abilities unknown to mortal men and become He-Man the most powerful man in the universe! Endowed with unimaginable strength and enduring courage, He-Man would use his new gifts to protect Eternia from the forces of darkness which appeared in the form of the Skeletor, a malicious mystical demon who is the keeper of Snake Mountain, and his horrible minions. To keep his identity secret, only three know of Adams alter ego. They are the Sorceress, Man-at-Arms (a soldier of Eternia and King Randors), and Orko (court magician and jester). Along with his faithful friend Battlecat (Cringer when hes Adam), He-Man defends Eternia and protects its people from evil!

And then there's my latest addition after playing the witcher

Geralt of Rivia- Geralt was the son of sorceress Visenna and (presumably) a warrior called Korin. Shortly after being born, Geralt was taken by his mother to the Wolf School — the Kaer Morhen stronghold (from Elder Speech Caer a'Muirehen meaning "Fortress of the Old Sea"). Geralt survived numerous mutations during the Trial of the Grasses, through which he gained practically superhuman physical and mental abilities (increased reflexes, speed, strength and enhanced hearing) surprisingly well. Because of that, as one of the few he was selected for additional experiments, and of the few he was the only one that survived. His white hair, completely lacking pigment, is a side effect of these experiments. After finishing the witcher training, he embarked into the world on his horse called The Roach (he gave the same name to every one of his horses) to become a monster slayer for hire.

And last but not least:

Dain II Ironfoot Dáin was the son of Náin and the grandson of Grór, the youngest son of Dáin I of Durin's folk, and was lord of the Dwarves of the Iron Hills in Wilderland. He followed his father, Náin, in lordship after Nain was killed by the great Orc chieftain Azog during the Battle of Azanulbizar, the final conflict in the War of the Dwarves and Orcs. Almost immediately after the death of Náin, Dáin rushed up the steps and slew Azog himself, thus avenging his father's death. He was a very young Dwarf at the time, being only thirty-two years of age, by the dwarves reckoning, he was still a stripling. Dáin's feat was heralded as a magnificent and glorious triumph for one so young. Dáin alone looked past the gate into Moria, and had the wisdom to know that it was impossible for the Dwarves to return at that time. His kingdom at the Iron Hills was so great that they were the only people truly capable of dealing with Sauron's forces at that time.

@Waroverlord: No, only if you're planning on making them thus, there are many variations of minotaurs and orcs depending on chosen lore, so long as your chosen race 'fits the bill' it's fine, I assume.

We're in the Might and Magic 'verse as far as bodies go. Minotaurs have been consistently dangerous throughout the Might and Magic games. Orcs I'm iffy on. I'm looking them up now.

Edit: Looked up Orcs. I'll allow them.

Ok then. I'm gonna be an Orc, as it would be a shame to put Kareeah through all that effort for nothing.
Now alls I need to do is think of who and how to fit this char together.
'nother question though, is the Knight the same as a Warrior or not?

Knight is a purely martial class. In the videogame MMVII, they get no spellcasting of any kind at all. On the flip side, they can use any weapon type to varying degrees and any armor type. They're more combat oriented as far as misc skills go as well (ex: their skill with item repair is good, but their potion mixing is bleh IIRC). Paladin is similar to the Knight, but they trade a little of the skill with weapons/armor for some of the Self magics (Body, Mind, and Spirit).

Seeing as how I am unable to fit anyone I know into something like this, I am going to make someone up. I will play someone from the  wordl of Dwarves-books by Markus Heitz. However I am only familiar with the Dutch Translations of the Books, so if someone has read either the German or the English versions, the translations may be a bit off.

Name:Broďndur Beastslayer from the Clan of Bloodspillers of the tribe of Lorimbur(aka: Thirdlings).
Race: Orc; Appearance
Class: Knight
Description: Broďndur Beastslayer was quite the infamous dwarf in the realms of the Thirdling Dwarves. He had stood more guard-duties in the pass their tribe as tasked to protect than most warriors twice his age. His kill-tally was second only to the King of the Lorimbur himself and he was the only warrior to be able to rightly claim to have slain a giant singlehandedly. His hatred for the creatures of Tion was known to be boundless, all the greater for his hatred of the other 4 Dwarftribes was nearly nonexistent. The hatred his kinsfolk would have for the others of his race and their god, Broďndur dedicated purely to Orcs. Broďndur even had a secret shrine to the Dwarf-god Vraccas, whos worship the rest of his kin shunned. That was untill Broďndur fell into a coma and found himself trapped in the body of the creature he hated.
Equipment:
-Battleaxe;
-Shield;
-Leather/Scale battlegear;
-Medallion of Vraccas;
-365 Gold Coins;
-Plain Brass Ring;
-Quartz-inlaid Copper Ring;
-Amethyst with some silver clinging to it;
-Brass Bracelet;
-Length of Rope;
-4 pearls;
-A chest containing: (Potions:Cure Poison, 2 scrolls, a Silk Sash, 3 boots,(2 left, 1 right) Slightly musty cloak

Name: Rincewind
Race: Human
Class: Thief
Description: Rincewind is a failed wizard, but even though Rincewind never managed to learn even the simplest of spells, he is very proud to be one. After all he did attend the Unseen University of wizardry and it is well known that it's the status that counts. He has seen quite a lot in his days. It's not that he looks adventures, in fact he would prefer boredom to about anything else in the world, it's just that adventures tend to look for him. And what's worse, they find him. Sometimes in very peculiar positions. In fact, the only reason he's still alive is because there's one skill he's very good at - not being a hero. Now he finds himself in yet another adventure, only this time he also finds himself in an unfamiliar body.
Equipment:
-Two Daggers;
-Black Leather gear: armor, boots, gauntlets;
-108 gold coins;
-unidentified gold ring;

Party so far, just to make sure I've got everyone:

Gnomes – Mat Cauthon, Human Ranger (Wheel of Time)
Vindicator – The Genie, Human Sorcerer (Aladdin)
War-overlord – Broďndur Beastslayer, Orc Knight (Dwarves Fantasyworld)
Geny – Rincewind, Human Thief (Discworld)
Tsar – Still deciding
Alkar – Alkar you still in?

@gnomes: It's not the powers that make the person. In fact I think I'm going to make that an overarching theme for the game.
