Bar Group:

((@B-E-T-A: That's perfectly fine.))

The pair of you manage to sneak away, assisted as the blonde from earlier has apparently decided to make a show of escaping. You can dimly hear her grandstanding from her perch by a window:

"...you will always remember today as the day, that you almost—whoa!"

She falls out the window, forcing a few of the guards to go after her and giving plenty of opportunity for yourselves and several others to slip away quietly out to the back alley.

Once returned to the entrance of the inn—on the outside this time—you note that most of the townspeople have decided the show is over and are dispersing. You also catch sight of the innkeeper nearby, wringing his hands like a mother worried for her child and on the verge of throwing a fit while the guards deal with those still inside. A fan of debris trails out on the ground from the entrance; it will probably be a while before the inn serves customers again.

"You can gut the things. I will see what I can do with this wound our one-eyed fellow has. That is, if he wants me to. I am unsure I fully grasp these powers I was told I have. I am not even sure if I was reading what I was reading right, either. For all I know, what that thing was supposed to do was turn someone into a mouse with all thoughts going towards cheese." Tristan thinks back to when he was turned into a mouse.

With the members of his party otherwise occupied, Broïndur gathered the corpses of the dragonflies near the sheaf. He took out his axe again and started gutting the beasts as he did the previous ones.
He hoped these buggers had swallowed coins and other shiny stuff like the previous ones had. And Broïndur stuck gold, so to speak. As with the others, most of the things he pulled out of the guts of the beasts were pieces of half digested prey, but he pulled out more gold coins as well. Whenever he did, he made sure that none of his mates could see that he was secreting those into his pockets. But they realy were preoccupied with other things. The cleric, Tristan or something like that, was busy trying to heal the one-eyed human, Mat, while Grog the other greenskin was out skulking in the underbrush for more vine.
Broïndur discarded the internal organs of the beasts into the water, since those are generally useless unless you want to feed something other than yourself, which was not the case. But inside the stomachs of the Dragonflies, especially the fire-breathing yellow ones, he found some 44 more coins and a cut piece of Amethyst clinging to a half digested piece of silver. The purpleish stone was reasonably well cut considering, though a fourthling would be crimson with shame of the amateurism if this was his piece. Come to think of it, so would most Dwarf gemcutters, but then humans were hardly as skilled as Dwarves in such matters. Thinking of Dwarves caused a pang of homesickness in Broïndur.
He tied the corpses with more vine he pulled down from the trees. All in all they had some 17 corpses already, if he counted right. Broïndur hoisted the sheaf up on his shoulder, not that it was heavy, but it was ungainly. The others were still around, but not paying any attention to him. Which was good, given.
"Be we done here, lads? We've still some time te look fer their queen."

Swamp Group:

With the nearest batch of Dragonflies dead, the noise in the rest of the swamp becomes audible once again. The group can hear a steady droning to the northwest.

----------------

Bar Group:

"Move along there!" One of the guards still at the inn barks at you, apparently either not recognizing your group as part of the fray, or not caring.

Mat held a hand to his arm, feeling the little bit of bone still in it. "Grr..." He growled, trying to push the object out. "Hey, cleric boy. Think you can use a healing weave on this?"

Swamp Group:

Pulling out the piece of broken fang yields an odd numbness in the caster's fingers, which goes away once the bit of tooth is dropped. The wound heals without much difficulty, however.

EDIT:

Both groups:

Noon is approaching, and as a result both groups hear a loud ringing coming from town. Those by the inn see a man in a heraldic uniform ringing the bell in question pass by, shouting to all and sundry:

"Lord Markham wishes all participants to report to the Town Hall for the opening speech! All scavenger hunt participants to the Town Hall!" ((and more in that vein.))

He listened more intently.
"Aye, they are. Right, lads. If we be plannin' te partake in that scavengerhunt, we'd best be gettin' back te town."
He turned on his heel and started for the town. "Are ye comin' with or not?"

Mat considered both options, rubbing his fingers over the closed wound. Now that's new... usually being healed by a male channeler feels like being bathed in fire and ice. A nice change this was. "Now let's see here... on one hand we have the option of being one in hundreds looking for something we don't know about yet, and on the other we have an assured massive lump of gold... if we manage to kill the big darkspawn creating all of these little monsters, that is. Decisions decisions..." Tossing up his spear, Mat began walking back to town. "I say that I like my odds of not being eaten better than gold. Besides, these things aren't going anywhere."

Tristan was more than willing to join the others in heading back for the hunt's announcement. While dealing with these flies would help out in their being able to afford things, he wanted to be sure to get into the scavenger hunt even more so.

"I am sorry, but I do not know what to call your kind." Koto shouted in the politest tone he could manage while shouting "But being twice as large as a normal human being warrants the term "giant" where I come from!" Inside his head Koto started thinking "A scavenge hunt, eh? That's lke hide-and-seek only with items instead of people. Sounds something right up my alley." Koto smiled, thinking back to the games he had played as a kid. He had always been the winner of the hide-and-seek competition in his village, always finding everyone, yet never found by others.

"Twice as large as a normal human? Look around you, most of people here are our height. I'd say we're the normal ones, pal."

Rincewind looked at Fandral again.

"Look, I'm going to the Town Square. Hopefully, the rest will be there too. You can do whatever you like." He turned to the halfling, "Goodbye, little fellow. Try not to get into any trouble... I hope I won't either."

And without waiting for a response Rincewind turned in the direction of the Town Square and was on his way.

Koto did not have time to tell the man strutting off that "But that's cause this is the island of giants!", for the guy was out of hearing range anyway.

"Hey little guy, you know what would be fun? Scour around the tavern and find an intact mug of ale or mead, then hurry back with it!"

Koto looked suspisciously up at the giant, he did not know why the giant wanted the mug, or why the giant thought he could order Koto around. But from the look on the giants face Koto figured that whatever he was planning, it would be something fun. "Does it required to have ale in it or do you want it empty?" Koto asked.

((I would post more about what Koto does after he gets his answer. But unfortunately I do not have the time to speed things up right now.))
