What was that smell again? Fish?
Where does one begin? Today I left home with my parents on a short holiday and it was fair to say things were eventful. First off, a bird flew straight into the windscreen and bounced right off, leaving behind some fecal matter. Minutes later we ran into the laziest road worker on Earth. Even though it was clear for us to go he decided to hold us up. Kids these days....
After we got to Gawler, which is about halfway to our destination, we had the worst luck with a GPS system. First it lead us to the car park at a railway station, then it stopped recording and acted all delayed. We were like "But we're already on Port Wakefield Road". Eventually we gave up on it until Kadina, when I had the most overrated Cornish pasty in existence. It was good, put I've had better. Not that I told the bakery staff or anything.
After the GPS went haywire again, we arrived at Port Hughes. After settling in our cabin I decided to walked down to the beach, with my mp3 player turned on. Not only did I find the least manly thing ever done to a Ute (it was to be used for a massage company, I noticed a strange smell coming from the nearby general store. It's a strange feeling, especially when you're listening to this, so I decided to investigate for myself. The woman behind the counter says it was fish. Also bizarre was the fact that the freezer used for ice cream was next to the freezer used for bait. Why this is so I'll never understand.
I returned back to the cabin, where the only strange smell came from the plants. Never a dull day on the Yorke Peninsula.
