H6 Tournament
since many people start playing again h6 because of the balance patch+townscreens i decided to host (with elvin in the background) a small tournament to revive the multiplayer scene. this tournament is just for fun, so there wont be any prize money for the winner. everybody is allowed to participate, feel free to share ur opinions etc.
the following rules from me arent 100% final, so they can be changed if many people want it.
rules as far:
-no hit & run
-no cheating
-no abusing
game settings:
map difficulty:normal
hero lvl speed:normal
quick combat: off
dynasty bonus ff
even resource:checked
powerful secondary heroff
time limit mode: dynamic
minutes: 5
time limited combats: normal limit
i want to limit this tournament on max 8 players, the system (K.O.-modus or groupstage) depends on the number of participants.

the mappool isnt 100% complete, please suggest any good, balanced maps if u know any.

Just dont get what means "with Elvin in the backround" 
Is he watching us from some kind of monocle  ?
from my point of view, rest state seems cool...may be people want certain faction, so not a must to use that random whatever faction chooser.

I am in yes. Not too much time nowadays, so Knock Out might seem like the best option. For those of us that like looong games, and have time, i see that this one has gotten great reviews. Cant wait to find an opponent to try this with.

When i now for the first time in several months gamed up, we got a crash after 5 days. Not so promising... Please update us on how you experience stability

Just keeping an eye on things, helping out with the rules, maps, deadlines etc. Time permitting I'll take part as well

I heard pro players play strictly on "A bridge too far" map!
On serious note, its a nice incentive. Any attempt to revitalize the multiplayer scene is a + in my book.

hm i realized that the strikeout thing isnt working anymore, can someone fix it? furthermore i must say that im against racepicking, because it would be a bit boring if all would pick for example necro and all games will be necro mirror^^
the tournament starts as soon we have 8 players with the K.O system. BO1 will be played and final will be BO3. i will release soon a mappool which consists of 5 maps. in round 1&2 each player will strikeout 2 maps & matchups which he doesnt want to play.the maps will be having no/less sea because naga faction would be otherwise imba.

ok, here we go:
1.I would propose: if players agree on map settings, thats fine, if not, tournament's rules are on!
2. About maps, i have proposition: Rise to Power; its a very good I noticed, very well balanced, long enought for our tastes. Also, we need to know maps pool before tournament starts, I dont play blind maps!
3. If Elvin is playing, then ok, he could comes with propositions etc...about hes setting rules, supervising smth from "behind"  , well, Id say only players in the tournament should have a word on this.
and 4th: GL&HF everyone!

tbh i did not test all maps but since i know that rise to power and veil of darkness has been played in a rus tournament, they should be good enough. if u find bugs in any maps or great unbalancement let me know asap, so i can change it before tourney starts

Its not that! I wanna see you playing, not setting rules or supervising smth youre not taking part

That would be fun, I always wanted to play a heroes game multiplayer. Unfortunately, I'm currently screwed by DRM, so I won't be able to log on and join. I hope this succeeds in getting people online, though.

A comment to the map "The Kingdom": It is not a perfect multi-map, lack good progress in creature strength, most creatures in start area are too hard week 1, and then, when taking all creatures in area about week 3 +- depending on guards and faction (hardest is pack of elites), next step is pack of champions.
So that makes for many days with no fight, and some days with many fights. Still it is a quite fun map, but not normal "toh-standard".

nah, the idea is to play with a strikeout generator, 5 matchups are generated any each player strikes out 2 matchups which they dont like. the matchup which wasnt striked out will be played. unfortunately i dont know how to use the strike out generator atm :/

Strikeouts suck anyway. It's much better to let people work out what they want to play, be it random or a matter of choice.
Also normal levelling rate is a bit slow for my taste. Certainly was too slow for a map like kingdom.
