Yeah, you won't see a lot of level three skills on those small maps with normal leveling.

normal leveling is the best option imo, if you have a good run u can already reach in w2 lvl 15 (not on the kingdom, because the creeps are really a bit too hard for my taste  )
about racepicking/random/strikeout i dont have an idea... furthermore i have heard that necro is bugged (vampires) so i dont know if i shall ban this race.

That is not a bug. It is a silly oversight from BH, something I have been complaining for ages. Last time we were discussing with limbic ways to avoid such kind of abuses.

Well it might still be called a bug since ability wording implies that only first attack against vampires would fail.
Or am I missing the point? Like maybe its about AI not attacking vampires at all?
Even if it worked properly (immunity only to first attack), cornered vampires could easily farm many creatures of 2x2 size so it can keep being an issue.

You mean you will be away for holidays or..? Because organizing a tournament doesn't take a lot of time once things are set in motion. Not that the current activity helps..

then lets start it with 4 players or more! we can play each with each other, then big final for 1st and 2d positions and then small final for 3 and 4th places!

Cool  In which case the opponent pairs should be arranged and possibly the map in case you choose that we all play the same map. What I used to do was to write a number next to each participant and ask someone to tell me the numbers in a random order but this could also prove useful.

Yes, the map will have to be known in advance, in my case because my total time with Heroes VI during the last half an year is probably less than 20 hours and I will need to... hm, get re-acquainted first. Plus, I'll only participate to check if the game is any fun in MP after the balance changes, don't expect much competition from me (if it is though, maybe later...  ).

Feuding Duchies is a really fun 1v1 map that I think is a good candidate. The only negative thing I can think about is the random elementals you can get at the start, since the elementals aren't completly balanced with each other.

I would like to participate aswell. Even though I don't think I will stand any chance against the veterans, I will try my best to survive for at least a week.

Since it looks like sim turns aren't happening any time soon, there is a little point in waiting. So, count me in.
I would also suggest reconsidering game settings. For starters, heroes leveling on normal is too slow, and it doesn't make a game better. On a contrary. Also with faster leveling, it make sense to go for harder settings (strong armies, fast growth), with normal/rich starting resources to boost a quick start.
Time limit, if necessary, should be increased considering previous changes. I have a feeling that most of Tohers wont be using any
Regarding Fraudatio note on game crashes, I also noticed several time when game simply froze, and only thing to do is to kill it in task manager. This is just last couple of weeks, while before game stability was almost perfect. Anybody else?
