I just wanna say gl. to all of you in the tourney in the future I may join a tourney too (if they change the game more into my taste....
So far Ive played all the "built" in maps and several usermade maps and cant say that "many" are suited for 1 vs. 1

How do we do it with factions? As many of you know, i would always prefer random, but unless its completely biased (one player always play same faction) i can live with much.
like i said i would prefer a working strikeout generator, because its annoying if someone always play the same^^

It's not like you'll have to face the same opponent multiple times though. Whether you win or lose you or him will play another opponent so.. 
A simpler approach might be to just not let a player pick the same faction twice but it will probably be one match to decide the victor right?

ur right, but i meant that someone could always do the same at 1/4 final, 1/2 final and final... for example in every game picking necro magic tears lol

So? But if you feel this is so bad you could still make a rule of not using the same setup two times in a row. Still, it's a friendly tournament and at least half of the players are not competitive multiplayer types so I don't see how that is an issue. Some just like playing with their faction.

Again, I would like to advice that map pool must be decided by players or someone - could be Pitlord - who knows the maps well! I cant accept someone else to decide what I will play/map/settings/etc...With the risk to repeat myself: I propose players must decide what map to play within tournament. For example: if Im playing PitLord and we two decide to play another map, cant see whats wrong with that?! Only if players cant agree on map or settings, then tournament rules must be applied! Also, if map cant be decided, then Pit-organizer of the tournament must decide!
When a matchup is setted, then both players must write on forum about game: map; settings; factions; position on map!-this for avoiding any missunderstanding between players;
About matchups: I would propose to have a very clear statement about who with who is playing, what kind of tournament we do; I would say we could do groups within are 1 toher plus other players. Players who qualifying are first 2 for example; then we could play elimination games for semifinal and final. Meanwhile, players could do also games for 3d and 4th positions and so on.
Just for you Pit: i havent played the majority of maps u listed there, except for feuding wich I did 6 months ago...Also, I will be away till midd-next week, but I think this wont be a problem for me to finish my games. We also need to know machups before for being able to set games/time etc.

And here are the pairs, generated with the traditional way of assigning players to number pairs. I assigned a number to each of you, pitlord provided the pairs and here are the results for the first phase:
Xerox Vs Pera
Zamolxis Vs Zenofez
Darkflint Vs Pitlord
Michaelmann Vs Fraudatio
The winner of the first pair will be matched with the winner of the second pair and the same happens with pairs 3 and 4. Good luck!

So what about the factions?
You can't use the same faction twice in a row, is that the only rule?
Not really sure how the tournamentt works from this point, but well, I've got HCM here and my name is XeroxHC in-game.

we ll be using the strikeout generator, thx to fiur who fixed it. i think the best way to contact ur opponent is with skype, but u can also use chm/icq/msn i dont care

I added everything in the generator but I guess its optional if you wanna use style/reputation....

generator is for faction+hero class, the reputation is just optional

before im forgetting it: veil of darkness is the only map with accessable water, so if u are gonna play it i would better veto sanctuary matchups because sanctuary is there on advantage. if u are playing this map as non-sanctuary make sure that u agree taht u dont buy a sanct hero at tavern
