Yu took the bedroll with a yawn. "Thanksss Sssquirrel." He hissed, blinking lazily. Early in the morning, it appears that Yu has a bit of the expected accent one would look for in a snake or lizard. Well, a snake or lizard that can talk, that is. He stuffed it into his bag and stood as tall as he could, yawning and stretching every part of his body. Little pops could be heard from his joints as the argonian continued his morning ritual, sighing when almost everything was stretched out. He rubbed the back of his neck, wincing slightly at the tension there, but not able to do anything about it, as usual. He looked around camp, sniffing slightly. "So where's breakfast?"

Drystan tossed Yu a hunk of bread and proceeded to give more out to the rest of the group. "Enjoy. The Stormcloaks are almost ready to leave. We should be ready by the time they are."

Yuan-Ta sniffed the bread and gave it a lick. His expression became rather glum after that. "No meat, only plants..." He muttered to himself, lamenting. He tossed the vast majority of the bread in his mouth, chewing it quickly as he drew in the res using his tongue to make his breakfast disappear as fast as possible. The argonian shuddered slightly as the last of his meal disappeared and picked up his pack, waiting for the others to be ready.

Noxa ate her ration with a considerably greater amount of care and enjoyment, then dusted away the crumbs and helped pack up the camp once she finished.

The mage stayed quiet for the rest of the period.  She was still lost on most of the happenings she had gone through.  The young lady was not even aware of what the group she put herself into was going to do after all. All she knew they needed somebody who can fight.

Again, her mind packed in the memories of her depressed past that was seemingly a natural recurrence, doubting once again her decision to leave home.  The farm girl had missed home so much.  She missed the farm she tilled, the nearby river where she took leisure and her conventional but loving parents.  Her chest ached as she thought of her love whom she left with despise but then the lazy lizard caught her eyes and everything she has been thinking snapped out.

As the persona of the snake delved deep into her mind, a voice from within suddenly whispered to her telling her – she got feigned.  Sophia clutched her chin for a moment, thinking about the sudden rush of insight she had felt.  She tried to remember what happened last night but it was futile since she was too tired to be mindful.

Everyone had finished eating their food and were ready to move out. The group walked along the road for several hours and chatted lightly. Up in front, Thorald and Drystan were talking, neither entirely trusting each other, but not hostile. Morn was talking to Ralof, and one of the Stormcloaks walked next to Bhob and said, "Where did you get that Imperial armor? Ex-legion?"

Another one chatted with Noxa. "So an Imperial, in Skyrim? I'd say you have some stones but if you were a man."

As they began moving, Yu became much more cheerful. Now the adventure was once again underway. And who knows? Maybe these "Stormcloaks" were just waiting for the right time to attack. A good old fashioned fight to warm up the blood would make this a good day. The Argonian's stomach was a little less than pleased though. While the bread had been enough to fill the space of it, Yu could not shake the feeling of being hungry. Maybe the Stormcloaks had some meat on them... if the humans attacked, then their food and belongings would be forfeit, right? Right? Unfortunately, they most likely didn't have anything other than bread and water, same as Yuan-Ta and his group. This thought made the argonian glum once more, but only a tad bit so.

The Stormcloak talking to Bhob shrugged. "I used to be in the Legion myself in the war when we fought the Thalmor. Of course these days the Legion is just another one of the Thalmor's pawns. Do you still support the Empire?"

Everyone seemed indifferent about the Nord girl and she felt it was very awkward.  She began worrying again feeling insecure but it did not settled for too long.  The road to Whiterun offered a lot to muse the young mage.  Thanks to her habitual curiosity, it fueled her mind of things to ponder upon.

She began examining the surroundings, familiarizing the mountains, rivers and road signs as they pass by trying to surmise where the North is.  The flowers, plants and trees did not even escaped her impertinent talent naming each that she could and summarizing each that could be of use.  The subject among the chatters caught her attentive ears.  Imperial, Stormcloak, Legion, rebellion – all of these roamed inside her thought – completely forgetting the woe inside.

The Stormcloak talking to Noxa was about to reply back to her when an arrow appeared in his throat as he bled profusely. Arrows started to fly from the bushes as men armed with swords and daggers sprang up and assaulted the group. Morn quickly guarded against an attack with his large shield and was able to effectively riposte with his spear. Thorald waded into a group of the assailants and cut huge swaths of them down with his greatsword. Drystan took a moment to quickly cast a spell, which formed a tree like armor around him. A mask that looked very much like the head of a Spriggan formed over Drystan's face as his bow grew green with life. An arrow was shot at him. With alarming speed, Drystan caught the arrow, nocked it, and returned fire, rewarding him with instantaneous kills. Morn meanwhile stayed to protect the less battle-hardened members of the group with Ralof as Thorald and his men formed a line of battle to combat the unnaturally well armed opponents.

The suddenness of the attack might have made Yuan-Ta hesitate before he drew his blade and leaped into the fray. Unfortunately for the closest bandit, Yu wasn't going to draw his blade against a bunch of low lifes such as these. Whipping around, Yu's tail flew towards the bandit's knees and his claws slashed at the (Nord's?) sword hand.

Morn called out to Yu. "I'd draw my blade if I were you. These brutes aren't messing around around!"

The bandits consisted of an amalgamation of human races, but primarily Nords. They were dressed in iron and steel armor, except for one with Orcish orichalcum armor. That one in particular wielded two large steel battle axes and looked to be either a Nord or an Orc due to his immense size, but his face was shielded by large helmet. The warrior rained down blows upon Thorald, who managed to dodge and block all incoming attacks with great efficiency. Though Thorald was on the defensive, he did not lose his endurance like his attacker did. Thorald managed to riposte at the last moment and slammed the warrior's helmet off with the flat of his blade. It was revealed to be an Orc. The Orc warrior kicked Thorald's stomach, knocking the wind out of him, and went elsewhere among the battle.

At last! Malacath, here I come!

Bhob threw himself into the fray with reckless abandon, demonstrating the skills for which he had been chosen as the champion of Yamarz. His blades were a veritable whirlwind as he slashed throats left and right faster than the eye could see. Without the slightest hesitation, -leaving a trail of blood in his wake - he made his way toward the other Orc, intending to challenge the only bandit he deemed powerful enough to do what must be done.

(I don't want to overpower myself, but given that dual wielding is practically the only special I want Bhob to have, aside from a bit of Light Armor and some rudimentary Smithing - he's an Orc after all - he can at least be good at it, can't he? I'd appreciate GM input.)

A small rock not too far caught her hysterical eyes.  Without hesitation, the farm girl quickly ran behind it and hid her extremely frightened self.

Claude Aleron had spotted the ambush party an hour ago from the rear, and he had thanked the Divines he weren't in the same situation as these fellows. He then used his well experienced sneak skill to sneak around them unseen and hide behind the rock, waiting for an unlucky traveling party to pass the ambushers.
He sat crouched behind the rock as the bandits ambushed the unsuspecting band and decided to stay well hidden for now, as a sudden appearance toward the end of the battle would suit him better. As he sat there a little girl suddenly came running behind the stone for cover and for a moment he froze, then he gave her a smile and put a finger to his lips.

"I am hiding here for the same reason you are." he whispered. "Let's not disturb those fine warriors whilst they are battling."

He reached into his backpack and rummaged for a second or two before he retrieved a small package. "Some dry meat while we wait?" he whispered.

Yu growled when he heard Mord, but seeing the Bandits thus far and how well equipped they appeared to be... "Is this some kind of raiding party?" He asked himself as pulled out his blade. The bandit he had knocked down and raked had lost his sword, but now drew a knife and rolled up in and attempt to stab the Argonian. Yu swept his blade with massive force, and the bandit's forearm went spinning of while the blade itself ground to a halt deeply imbedded in the bandit's chest. After this, Yu kicked the dead man off of his blade and shouted to Morn, "You are sure that they are worth dulling my blade on?"
