Coffee is my drug of choise. I like the dark roasting coffee better. But when I have a sore throat or cold I have cravings for tea all day long. Like now.

I am drinking my coffee today and think-has it happened to you to taste a coffee and its taste to change your coffee preferences(to switch to other kind of coffee)?

I don't drink either cofee or tea, but the popularity of cofee has always confused me a little. As far as I understood, the brain gets used to the drugs, which provides the extra energy/motivation you get from cofee. Which means to gain a benefit you'll need to drink higher and higher quantities. But in the end, you'll most likely not have more benefits than when you didn't drink at all, rather you'll now need cofee to even function properly. I know friends of mine at ages around 18 who need cofee to get up in the morning, despite not having been up all night, and it scares me a little.
Can you function without getting cofee during, e.g. several weeks? How about a single week or even a single day?
Has anyone else noticed how cofee has developed from something only poor people would drink into the norm, while cigarettes have went the exact opposite way? Despite, as I see it, both things are generally bad for you, and have addicting properties beyond that of what one decides for himself.

I made the coffee so strong at work the other day it almost broke the coffee pot...
As to whoever mentioned tea, I consume a LOT of that as well. The only reason I have not been lately is hot tea is not very appealing in the summer. In the winter months, I drink about 4 cups of tea a day.

Ok, like the article says, medical research on health is something that always needs to be taken with a grain of salt, but it's generally understood that while coffee probably isn't akin to spinach in a cup, it isn't really bad for you unless you dope it with huge amounts of sugar & cream and drink 8 cups a day.

I'm exactly the same OD, more than two cups and I can barely stay awake. I thought it was supposed to keep you awake.
But at least I can drink Iced Coffee until I am sick

I drink my coffee in the morning till about 13:30. After that there has to be cake involved.

Try mint liqueur 50%, milk and strong black coffee (an old coffee). Black Russian is also good, but that's another story coffee. Sorry!

I drink like 4-6 mugs of coffee every day. If I can't get my coffee then I'll be in a really bad mood. I'd go crazy.
The way I like it, is to mix just a little bit of cream to it, and put a sugar cube to my mouth and drink the coffee through it. I use like 3-4 cubes each time. It probably isn't that healthy, but I chose it rather than drinking or smoking.

I have been a guest to some people I havent seen for a long time.
There I tasted coffee,made by their machine.
And that gave me a reason to change the coffee I drink usually.
The price of the coffee I am going to drink is considerably higher than the price of the coffee I used to drink.
I think of going slow up through the price scale to experience a better taste.
