I do not remember if I have ever thanked you for bringing up all those bugs but you probably know I appreciate it all the same. Because I am all but certain that if we stopped reporting them some would never get fixed - in fact I have a feeling that all those persistent bugs that Astranor mentioned(Limbic guy) were brought up because we compiled them and I mentioned they should get the priority, having been neglected for so long. Perhaps they would have all been fixed eventually but having compiled them and notified Limbic a short time ago was probably not a coincidence.

Elvin, I assume you know, but just a reminder:
There was a petition, which you can actually still vote for (the bugs or changes you wish to support), which was created by a bunch of Russian guys. You can vote (if you have not done it already) here:
Link for Survey voting
The petition sucks for a number of reasons.
At least that's my opinion.

Yeah, but did you notice that the Google Docs spread sheet that the developer (Astranor) quoted is THE ONE FROm the Petition? So, it must have got their attention.

In terms of BUGS. However, you wouldn't need a petition for that.
Bugs are to be fixed - it's not a question HOW they are fixed, buit WHETHER they will be fixed and WHEN, since not all bugs can be fixed at the same time, but only one after another. Plus - should the support stop at any timefor this or that reason, then what's fixed is fixed - and what isn't fixed isn't, so teh "ranking of bugs" has a deeper meaning here.

That, however, has nothing to do with addons, features, balance and changes.

@Dave_Jame: I really appreciate your apologies, it's also my fault that sometimes I misunderstand things that people say, and I only find about it after I have already posted a reply. But you must admit that you have quite a strong way of presenting your opinions

You see there is this problem with forums. When I see all those negative opinions my "rage" for the game rises. Normally I would peacefully play the game, witnessing all those problems, saying things like "oh my, maybe it's something with me being to demanding of the game" (don't get the wrong idea, most conclusions are from my personal experience). Unfortunately I see that Heroes 6 is a game which could and should have been better. And as you say, at core this is a great game (much better then H5 ever was imho), but all those problems ruin the whole experience. I sometimes see that I'm a bit stingy when it comes to Heroes games, but the fact is I have a big sentiment for the series. Heroes 5 had many issues from the beginning and watching that H6 is going the same road got me a "deja vu" feeling.

And if it comes to balance. I think the game is really well balanced at this moment, the only thing is that I think legendary tier units should be a bit stronger. I just don't feel the kind of "power" which Black Dragons and other units of this level had in H3 or H4. I think that for instance in H5 they were also not as strong as they should be. Some will say that is a good thing, but I think that power made those units unique, worth their money and really stand out from the rest...

The first two mentioned possibilities make no sense. If it was ubi's plan to abandon H6 they would have no incentive to spend all those months patching the game or at the very worst they would not bother continuing. I sincerely doubt ubi would do this out of the goodness of their hearts and it seems a very bad investment if they just wanted to sell more adventure packs. And moving on to the spinoffs? That makes even less sense

You know, sometimes Ubisoft makes no sense

On a personal note I am annoyed when people start considering H6 a dead game every 1-2 months or so. H6 is being fixed in doses, what did you expect? Do you need a monthly confirmation that the game will not be scrapped? Seriously now it sounds like you are in a relationship with H6 and you are afraid you are going to get ditched any moment now

The combination of a bad game (many ideas bad implemented) with all the Ubicrap (Uplay, Ubi servers, Ubishop, etc...) doesn't help at all.

I guess we'll have to wait to October and see if Ubi says something

For Example Limbic managed to fix the faster movement faster sound bug that BH actually called a feature and/or unfixable.

No, "Limbic" didn't manage to do that, it's still not fixed. There were no problems with animation and sound speed increase in Internal Private Closed Beta done by "Black Hole". It's still installed on my PC, I've checked it - everything is OK. But they broke it in the latest versions of the Beta.

if those are going to be the last patches, it's probably not a good idea to ask them to focus on balance. they should fix anything that can't be fixed by simple modding.

Black hole broke it in the Last version of the Beta?
Well then it was broke until the patch 1,5 done by Limbic.. where is your problem then?

It is not working 100%, but it is still better than before, so at least they tried.
And Limbic did NOT make patches/versions 1.1/1.1.1/1.2, where this WAS broken already, as another poster noted.

All that mud-slinging is rather pointless.. BH did create one hell of a messy code and regardless of how much might or not be their fault, we won't be seeing them again anytime soon. Does it even matter what might have been had they still be around? Perhaps more resources might have done the trick but along the way I lost faith in them, for various reasons. We might as well drop beating that dead horse.

On the subject: Patches 1.6 and 1.7

Patch 1.6 will be announced some time in September saying that the devs. encountered various fixing problems and will have to use a more subtle way to find fixes to the hard coded bugs as for some time in October for the official release to the public of such patch.

Patch 1.7 will not see the day until the end of November/start of December. Probably the same issues regarding the fixing approaches of 1.6 are resurfacing constantly all the time via the progressing of the hard code analysis' and attempts to change the codes with newer types of encoding methods(programming headaches of the worst kind possible are at play here).

Furthermore, Ubisoft loves to tease us by saying and confirming to us a true expansion for late Spring/early Summer of 2013 as a form of way to wish us a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all us(treating us of being too laid back and being worthless party goers all year round).

In short, yes, it has been delayed, again, for a month or two. As long it is done for December 25 2012(Christmas Day). Expect a Gold Edition being sent to the general commercial public retail by Mid November for the Holiday Season's Mass Sales(Pumping the cash in for the shareholder of the Ubisoft company' holiday bonuses).

Dave_Jame, NO!!
I am dealing with Heroes VI bugs since release.
Many (most) of these bugs are from version 1.2 onward, some even older.
I know what a bug is when I see it (I work as tech support/tester), you can see the list of bugs in the Patch 1.5.2 bugs thread (of course, not a full bug list, I got tired of re-posting old bugs into the new threads, so some 1.3/1.4 bugs did not make it into my 1.5.2 bugs list, although they still exist)!!
Yes, most of these bugs do allow playing the game, that part is correct.

Now, you said to quote bugs that would block/prevent playing.
This would be Campaign bugs, I think.
For example, some screens that appear have buttons you can't click on, thus you are stuck (for example, the game expecting you to have Tears or Blood (and you have the opposite). And, some players report the game freezing on the AI turn, thus are you stuck again (Stronghold campaign).

And no, I don't agree bugs are not their work!!
For example:
1) Despair increases Morale instead of decreasing it.
2) When buying artifacts from the Advanced Market, you no longer see if the artifacts require Magic or Might or a certain faction. You COULD see that in older versions.
3) I am not playing Necro now, but they say Vampires are broken, and become invulnerable in certain circumstances.
4) Racial gauge is broken for at least 1-2 factions. Was not the case before, or at least if it was, it was broken for less factions than it is now.
ALL of these bugs were introduces in the LATEST patches.

The example you have given of the stronghold campaigne has been fixed some patches ago.. I know this I sufferd from it and I know it works now.
And onwards
1) one numerical figure is not a major bug. Sorry but No. It should be fixed but is it a gamebreaker? well yes f you go for despire based strategy.
2) This would go under the category "Spoild stupid gamers" (nothing personal) when people are to lazy to remember prox 100 artifacts and less
3) Gamebreaking bug one aknowladged.. you have one.. any more?
4) If you would read and test those bugs you would know that these Broaken gauges are not general but due to specific situations like campaingne maps. And niether of them prevents you from playing the game, so again no gamebreaker.

3) Yes, one more - Necro Altar of Eternal Servitude building is broken and does not always shows dead units on all days they are supposed to show on.
This was fine in patches 1.2/1.3 and older, and was broken in 1.5, I think.
4) No, this is not correct. Racial gauges should work in all kinds of missions - Campaign, single player mission and multi player regardless of exact hero, bonuses or artifacts AT ALL TIMES!
Meaning they should work each game week/day/month and they are NOT supposed to work once in a blue moon (or fail that way).

Give us a break! We have every right to ask ourselves if H6 is dead already. You know how the post sounds? The one asking for what bugs to be fixed?

"Hello Heroes fans,

We at limbic just got ourselves an intern. We would like to give him some easy stuff to do for the next 2-3 weeks.

Altough, do not set your expectations to high. Keep in mind that we ourselves were not able for 1 year to fix those bugs, so cut the intern some slack, if hes not going to make it".

.......................................

"
Here is a suggestion on a feature that we would like to add. (This is mainly because I already promised it during the M&M days in Warsaw):
• Adding a turncounter (foreshadowing of # of turns a hero needs to reach the destination)

"

Really that one suggestion? RIP H6

That's weak but have you considered the fact that they may be busy with other things? Or that they may have nothing to do with an addon? Or that the patching process is typically done by the whole team instead of an intern? That is no serious indication of what is actually happening.

To sum it all up:

Future does not hold well for Heroes 6. And that's what I was afraid the most...

Some bug fixing and low-content dlc is not what I'm waiting for. The devs at Limbic clearly show us that this is the most they can do about h6. Hate to say it, but how it looks now shows that this game is very close to death (and I'm not talking about Dance Macabre).

Sorry, Elvin, but as much as you say things are still brewing for this game, I'm not very optimistic in this matter...

Edit: Oh, a Gold Edition... hmmm... Gold Edition=No expansion pack?

I'm going to help Elvin and give you something to think about.

If you wanted to do a M&MH7 one of these years - would it make sense to let M&MH6 die or would it make more sense to to keep it alive during the time it was developed?

Next question: Limbic is rather small; they might be good coders, they might be reliable, they might have a good working relationship with Ubisoft - what they do not have is the capacity to make the next Heroes game...

Now let's say the guys at Ubisoft had an idea about how to proceed and whom to "take into the M&M boat" ...

You have one guess for an idea of what might be the best start for such a relationship.

Of course - maybe Ubisoft doesn't want to make Heroes 7.

I don't know what all the fuse is about people. No one knows, except Ubisoft of the future of Heroes VI, so speculating is pointless.

If you don't like Heroes VI -> play Heroes V (I still love this game!)
If you like Heroes VI -> play it and hope they make expansions (which I think they probably will).
