Just realized something -- Heroes 3 idle animations

While playing a random map yesterday, I suddenly came upon a realization that kind of blew me away. So you know how when you're in a town screen and click on a dwelling, there's a little preview picture that shows the unit and its animations, right? Most of the time I just buy the units and close the window without thinking twice, but yesterday I actually watched the animation for a bit and then it hit me:

Every single unit was supposed to have an idle animation! No, i'm not talking about the little animation that happens whenever you mouse over a unit. They were actually supposed to be fully animated even when standing in place. As in, you can see them breathing in and out or effects like the efreet's and genie's trails sparkling.

I mean, have you ever thought it was a little weird how all the units just stand there frozen in place like a bunch of statues before they are issued orders? I mean, it never really bothered me much because it's just cosmetic... but I kind of feel, I dunno, a bit cheated out I guess. Is it a bug? I have no idea, but maybe you guys would know. Check it out for yourselves.

Yeah, they planned on including putting in idle animations (did you look at the Phoenix? - fully animated flames!), but didn't in the end due to RAM issues if I recall correctly. A shame, really. With all the modding done with Heroes 3, I'm surprised nobody has bothered to try and mod the idle animations into battles - as far as I know, anyways.

HotA team has implemented this feature.

I just checked, VCMI also has these.
Did't even notice the difference until now

What I want to see is this implemented to vanilla HOMMIII (preferably so that it works with the HD Mod), without gameplay modification... :/

It doesn't affect gameplay at all, just adds more content

Yeah, that's what I'm saying. Stuff like HotA modifies gameplay, and I want to see it implemented in a way separate from HotA/VCMI so that it DOESN'T modify gameplay.
